The end of the school year was here, the end of another year as headmaster. Some of the students wouldn't come back, they graduated and would start their adult lives as witches and wizards. Most of the students would simply have a well-deserved break before returning to Hogwarts. Matt was already looking forward to the new school year, even though he also felt like he could use a break.

As the students filed in, the banners adorning the Great Hall rippled and changed to reflect the signature green and silver colors of Slytherin house, signifying their victory for the year. Again. Matt was starting to wonder if Angel had cursed the cup somehow. It seemed like the only explanation at this point, and he wouldn't put it past him. Matt made his way to the podium, waiting quietly for everyone to settle into their seats before speaking. "Welcome everyone to this year's final feast. Before we begin, I'd like to say a few words. First of all, a round of applause for the winners of this year's House Cup - congratulations to Slytherin." He said, gesturing to the Slytherin table before conjuring the cup seemingly from thin air. He presented it to Professor Castillo on behalf of his house, managing a somewhat genuine smile.

"Of course, we can't forget those students whose dedication and hard work earned the most points for their respective houses. Our top house point earners this year are - in first place, Teddy Pirrip of Gryffindor, with a grand total of 1165. In second place, with 1140 points - Kyousuke Kurosawa of Slytherin. In third, Addison Donnelly of Ravenclaw, with 1053. Last but not least, we have Bailey Walden-Cade, with 752 points for Hufflepuff. Congratulations to our winners." The Headmaster joined in the applause for each of them, commending their efforts and achievements toward their house.

As the applause died down, Matt gestured for silence so he could say a last few words. "With that, the school year of 2064 has ended. I hope you enjoy the feast and have a wonderful break. See you next year!" With that, he sat down and watched as the food appeared on the tables. He hoped all the students would have a great feast.

Conan couldn't believe that he was at his last end-of-year feast. The thought of it was weird. He had ideas of what he wanted to do when he left Hogwarts, but now it was an actual reality that he had to think about. The Ravenclaw listened carefully to what the headmaster had to say. To be honest, it didn't surprise him that Slytherin had won yet again. He clapped for the high house point earners and then it wasn't long before the food appeared onto the table and Conan quickly dug in, happy to get into the food.

It was in fact hitting Eliza that she was one step closer to her final year at Hogwarts, and she couldn't believe that thought. She hadn't really thought about what she wanted to do once she left, but that was probably something she needed to think about. The Gryffindor, however, wasn't really paying attention to what was being said at the feast, her nose stuck in one of the latest comic books she had, though she did clap for the high point earners while she was still reading her comic. It hadn't been long until the food appeared on the table, and they were able to dig in. Eliza continued to read her comic as she ate.

Marley couldn't believe that the year had already wizzed by before her very eyes. Though she was quite proud of herself this past year. She became a prefect, co-captain, and pretty much had passed most of her classes with E's, which Marley didn't mind. The Hufflepuff listened to what the headmaster had to say. Marley was disappointed that Slytherin had won yet again, but she was still happy for them. Marley cheered loudly for her friend Teddy when he was announced as the top point earner, and she couldn't be prouder of her friend. After the usual announcements of what the headmaster had said, the food had appeared on the tables and they were able to eat some food. Marley quickly grabbed a few things and placed them on the plate in front of her before she began to eat. The Hufflepuff turned to the person next to her with a smile after she chewed her food. "You got any plans these upcoming holidays?"

Fiona thought she had a decent year, did okay with school and hung out with her friends. Fiona was a bit bummed that Conan wouldn't be here with her next year, but she did remember that her younger cousin would be joining her next year also, which she didn't mind. Fiona was only partly listening to what was being said; it was the usual stuff being said, so she hardly paid attention and wasn't surprised and was quite disappointed that Slytherin had won yet again. The Gryffindor dug into her food quickly once they were able to eat.

Aaron looked around in displeasure at the food in front of him. This wasn't what a school ending feast was supposed to look like because every year when they finished they always had Jollibee. It was basically like a treat for doing well - so how was he supposed to stare at all this food and just eat it? This wasn't part of his normal routine for school at all. He looked over the tables to the Hufflepuff table looking for Angelo, he found him, but he had his back turned towards, him, so he couldn't even signal him. He frowned, and picked up a plate of food. "Sorry, does anyone know how I could get some Jollibee here? This isn't correct."

Elio was finding it difficult to believe that the end of the year was upon them and come tomorrow, he would be heading home. Home. He wasn't even sure how that worked anymore. It had been a very short amount of time here, and yet somehow he had started to think of this school as home, even despite everything that was going on. Still, that wasn't to say that there was anything wrong with thinking go school as home, he'd spent a very long two years here, and Mikael was here, which is what he cared about. He looked over to Teddy when he was announced as the top points earner and gave his friend a thumbs up. "Woo Teddy!" He'd said once he was going to beat Teddy's score, but he hadn't managed it, and he was okay with that honestly.

Thomas was still getting used to the idea of Hogwarts. He was still constantly homesick and missed his dad and the rest of the family a lot. But he was glad to be heading home, though he knew he was gonna miss his friends at school as well. Thomas listened to what the professor had to say and clapped for everyone. It wasn't long before the food had appeared on the table and they were able to eat. Tom waited until everyone around him had managed to get something before he went in and grabbed his own food. Thomas noticed that the chicken he wanted was further down from where he sat, and he frowned at this. The Hufflepuff turned to the person to the right and pointed to the chicken near the person. "Um, Hi, sorry, can you please pass me the chicken legs?" Thomas asked softly and with a small smile.

It was a relief to finally be free from classes and exams. Angelo was really looking forward to finally go home after nearly a year of being away since he and his mum couldn't afford a plane ticket to send him home to and fro every break. Thankfully, Finley had said he would check with his dad on how Angelo could get a portkey to use by the time the school year starts - thankfully his mum hadn't booked a ticket yet. Then again, this wasn't the time to think about that because it was finally summer vacation hello! He looked to his left when an older boy asked him to pass the chicken leg. "Sureness," he said and without actually thinking about it, grabbed a chicken leg by its... stem? Is that what it's called? ... with his bare hand and made to hand it to the other boy. "Here!"

Sophie thought her year had been alright. She had spent most of it studying or with some of her friends, which she quite enjoyed. The Ravenclaw was glad to be heading home for the break, she had indeed missed her parents (though she would not admit that to anyone). Sophie hadn't really been paying attention to what was being said by the headmaster, as she was more focused on when the food was going to appear, but it wasn't long before the food had finally arrived, and Sophie had quickly dug into her food. The Ravenclaw frowned in confusion when a first-year near her had seemed to be complaining about the food. Though she was more confused on what he was asking rather than the complaint (because she did agree the food wasn't the greatest either) "What's a Jolliebee?" Sophie asked the younger student, tilting her head in slight confusion.

And just like that, the year had gone by quite quickly. Theo had absolutely enjoyed his first year at Hogwarts. He had managed to make a few friends while also managing to be on the Quidditch team. Even though he was only an alternate, he thought it was wicked anyway for being part of the team. Theo was glad to be heading home, though, and to see his siblings. He wondered what sort of dumb arguments he had missed out on between his two siblings. Theo thought it stinks that Slytherin had won this year, and it would've been pretty cool if Ravenclaw had won. It wasn't long before the food finally appeared, and Theo couldn't wait to demolish his food. Halfway through his meal, he turned to his left to the person next to him. "Do you know the last time Ravenclaw won the house cup was?"

Aura didn't know who Kyousuke was, but she clapped politely when he was named as the winner of the most housepoints for Slytherin, that must have meant he was working hard and she didn't know him, but that meant, he was almost the entire reason for their 1500 + point lead on every other house. She hadn't expected for Hogwarts New Zealand to be quite so competitive, but she could understand it, there was a lot to like about all of it, and she couldn't wait to see where they would go in the future. She would miss Theo of course, but she was looking forward to spending more time with Dante, once the holidays were over.

Julian had no idea what he was coming home to. Father had never replied to his letters after the first time so he was quite unsure if his father had received all his letters. He hoped he did. And he hoped he accomplished his task so that Father would be proud of him. He was looking forward to seeing Mum as well after months of being away. He was peacefully eating food from the Ravenclaw table when one of his roommates - a mudblood he was pretty sure - said he wanted some jolly bee? He knew mudbloods were eccentric and poor but an insect? "What would want a bee for when there's a literal feast in front of you," he said as a matter of fact while ignoring another Ravenclaw's question.

Samantha had only been teaching here for about a year now, and she had quite enjoyed it. Sure, at first it had seemed a bit weird for her coming back to the place where she was once a student, but as a professor she had quite enjoyed it. Memories of her schooling years had always flashed through her mind. Sam listened to the headmaster make his usual speech and clapped for both the house cup winner and the high house point earners, which Samantha thought they worked hard to deserve it. The former Hufflepuff then digged into her food once it had appeared and it was ready to be eaten.

Vex loved this time of year. Why wouldn't he? All of his favourite people to torment were in one place. That was the point, wasn't it? He swam through the air, high above the heads of the gathered students, lounging when he came to just above the Professor's table. He draped himself across an invisible current like it was a hammock only he could see. He shimmered faintly, the candles moving through his barely there form like a shimmering twilight. He watched the Headmaster as he spoke, copying his speech above him and moving into the same positions as the man. When he finished up his speech, Vex clapped, following along with the students who cheered and whooped and he let out a confetti like it was from a canon laughing obnoxiously. It was all lovely, except that his claps echoed like thunder and caused the goblets on the tables to rattle dangerously. He snorted with laughter and grinned widely when one of them toppled over and landed in someone's lap. "WHOOPS SO SORRY!!" he yelled, though it was entirely clear he wasn't at all sorry. "LOOKY HERE ANOTHER SLYTHERIN WIN!" He cried as he twirled around the banners leaving a trail of glittery slime in his wake. "I'm sure there wasn't an inkling of foul PLAY not at all!!" he winked directly at Slytherin Head of House who's name he could never remember.

Magdalene was excited to be entering her third year. She was convinced she'd make the quidditch team next year and she would get to take electives, something that seemed very intriguing as she learned more about the magical world. She was taking an elective or two more than was suggested, but it seemed like others also did that, as well. As she sat with her sister, she clapped until she noticed the glasses rattling on the table and squealed as one of them landed in her lap, spilling water all over her. She looked up at Vex and grimaced. Maggie didn't understand how the professors were just okay with such a nuisance being around all the time. She looked at Bea, who had already handed her an extra napkin as she tried to sop up the water around her.

Aaron rolled his eyes at Julian, clearly uneducated about he absolute deliciousness that was Jollibee. If it wasn't Mcdo it was Jollibee, but he was only wanting Jollibee right now because it was the only acceptable food at something like this. He wanted his crispy chicken with spaghetti and rice and he wasn't happy that eh didn't have it right now. For a big end of year feast! It just wasn't a feast without his Jollibee! "Not a bee, Jollibee," he said rolling his eyes at his roommate again, before looking over at the girl who'd asked him about it. "Only the BEST fast food in the PH - crunchy chicken, fresh rice, so many drinks! Honestly you can't go wrong, and we used to have it for every feast, end of year, end of exams, things like that! I can't believe they haven't even ordered in, they deliver!" Every third Friday they would have Jollibee at home, and he would always enjoy it then too.

Beatrice was just pondering what she'd like to eat when water spilled all over her sister from something it seemed like Vex did. "I don't really think he's sorry," she said, handing her sister the napkin and cleaning up the little bit next to her on the bench. The year had gone okay, but Beatrice was ready to see her mom and spend time at home. Living in a room with a bunch of other girls was exhausting, and she was ready to have her own room back for at least the summer so she could read all the books she wanted.

Anisha had known Slytherin would win the house cup, but it was still a little sad. In her seven years at Hogwarts, she had only seen a different house win once. And it hadn't even been Gryffindor. But it wasn't something she wanted to focus on today. It was the final feast at Hogwarts, after this she would be leaving forever. It sounded awfully final, but Anisha knew it was true. She didn't have the patience to be a teacher, even if the school would want her, and she had other ambitions. She listened to the headmaster's speech, trying her best not to focus on Vex and laugh. The poltergeist could be kind of funny at times, but she didn't want to laugh at Professor Alcott-Ward's expense. He always looked like he was trying his best. She cheered for Teddy, who had gotten a utterly ridiculous amount of house points. But even as she did, she worried for him. She hadn't forgotten their encounter in the library and knew he was pushing himself too hard. Hopefully he'd come to that realization himself soon. Then the food arrived and Anisha put all her favorites on her plate. She noticed Elio nearby and gave him a wry smile. "Strange, right?" She said, knowing he'd understand what she meant.

Leah was trying hard not to simply face plant into the table to avoid taking in anything that was going on around her. She didn't want to be here or acknowledge this was her last feast ever. Instead she settled for burring her head in her hands so they covered her eyes. Slytherin had won again which wasn't a surprise and the head master's speech wasn't really anything new. With a pang she realized she'd miss that sense of familiarity and would never hear it again. She knew she was being ridiculous but she couldn't help it. She lifted her head long enough to clap for top point earners before returning to her sulking. When the food arrived her stomach growled so she reluctantly served herself and picked at her food. Dreading the packing she'd have to do later.

Teddy was grinning after being announced as overall top points earner again. Still, he hadn't beaten his record, which as far as he was aware was the highest school record for one student ever, no one has proved him otherwise yet. Gryffindor hadn't won that year either and at this point Teddy had pretty much accepted that Slytherin just worked harder collectively. He heard the loud cheers from his friends when his name was called. He made eye contact with Elio and lifted his goblet in salute. And then everything shook. Teddy looked up to Vex. Of course it was Vex. Teddy watched the poltergeist but was smart enough not to get involved right now.

If this was how fast time flew, then it wouldn't be long until it was their year that was graduating. The second year listened to the speeches, before the feast had arrived, but in truth Eoghan just wasn't hungry. He was stressed about having to head home to a place he'd be in magical limbo, away from those he cared about for months, just waiting to come back to school. Just because he was able to see his sister again didn't mean that all the rest of his problems were going to go away.

"What?"
he turned to see a younger boy looking up at him, and recalled hearing something about the Ravenclaw cup. Eoghan had left the food untouched, and didn't realise he was more or less sitting at the table, straight backed and staring off into space. He cleared his throat before answering, "Ravenclaw, they won the year before last, I believe," at least, that's what the record in the trophy room had said, Eoghan hadn't actually born witness. "Audrey Beauchamp," he nodded in the direction of one of their prefects, "won the most points for us that year." It was probably why she'd been made prefect the year after.

The end of year feast was a familiar event, but it was a little different now. Cyrus would have to miss his cousin Leah next year, and it made him sad. It wasn't like they spent all their time together or anything, they had their own interests and their own friends, but he had been glad to have an older cousin to lean on and talk to when he wasn't sure what to do. He knew he could write her, but it'd be different. She'd be a busy adult, would she still have time for his silly worries? He had listened to the headmaster's speech but only vaguely, it was pretty much always the same, with Slytherin always winning too. He heard two kids nearby talk about that, recognizing Theodore from Quidditch and Eoghan from the poetry thing a while ago. He nodded. "Ravenclaw won in my first year, but that was the first time in a while. My cousin is graduating and apparently Slytherin won every year she was at school besides that one." He commented. "Does kind of make you wonder." He muttered, glancing at Vex who had insinuated the house was cheating somehow. He wasn't sure how that would even work, unless the Slytherin Head of House was just giving Slytherin extra points when no one was looking. But surely the other teachers would notice?
