Overview: Beatrice was born in Maine but grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Due to her family's affluent status, Beatrice was able to gain an exceptional education. She attended private schools, taking traditional classes as well as advanced courses in math, writing, and science. She also took electives in French, Speech and Debate, and Orchestra. Beatrice qualified to join Mensa when she was 4, with an IQ of 138. This allowed her to excel in academics.
Additionally, Bea found figure skating to be exceptionally interesting. She and Maggie were signed up for an intro to skating class when they were 6, and while Maggie refused to get back on the ice after the first day, Beatrice couldn't get off. She took to the sport and competed nationally, placing in national competitions in 2059, 2061, and 2062. At age 6, the twins were also enrolled in riding lessons, as their parents owned a stable. Beatrice found the sport enjoyable, but not as much as figure skating. She mainly does trail riding with her sister on her horse, Banana.

Reaction to receiving Hogwarts Letter: Beatrice was unaware of the magical world prior to receiving her letter. She learned that there were two other members of her family who were also witches. Beatrice felt like her understanding of the world was significantly altered, and she immediately asked her aunt to supply her with books to increase her understanding of the magical world.

Family History: While Bea is a muggleborn witch, there is a magical history throughout their family. A few generations prior to her grandmother, there were numerous witches and wizards, many of whom died in the Wizarding War in England. Her family started marrying muggles, producing squibs, or not having children in general. The magical gene somehow became dormant until recently, when it reappeared with her aunt and cousin and now her sister and she.
Beatrice is the eldest child of Evander and Viola Grey. Beatrice was born via C-section after her mother went into labor while preparing their summer home for the first event of the season. The physically weaker and smaller twin, Beatrice was born with some health concerns that required surgery in the first few years of life. However, she quickly started to thrive, even though she has always been smaller than her sister, Maggie. Beatrice grew up in a wealthy New England family with strong ties to Britain.
