Y41 S2 Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice

Valeria just managed to spot a bludger to hit and she went to try and it towards the seeker again, but it went wide and hit on of the beaters.

Sawyer's mind had been drifting in the heat and he quickly snapped back to attention at the sound of a bludger connecting, noticing Branson had the quaffle now.
 
Sefina looked for the snitch.
 
Sawyer felt like he had to keep an extra eye on Finn, especially after taking a bludger. He hadn't fallen yet but the way the older boy wobbled on his broom sometimes made Sawyer have his doubts.
 
When Branson got close he sent the ball towards the left most hoop, but was disappointed when he missed.
 
Sawyer felt like he was ready to block Branson's shot but it was still a relief when the chaser simply missed. Plus the cooler air felt nice as Sawyer swooped down to grab the quaffle and throw it out.
 
Hearing a bludger rushing towards him, Finn turned just in time to be hit in the side. He cried out in pain, broom wobbling and swaying as he fought to keep his grip. Once he was stable on the broom he chased after the ball and hit it, surprised when he managed to return it to the person who had hit him.

Michael grabbed the quaffle once again when it was thrown back out, unfortunately.
 
Sawyer apparently had worried about Finn for nothing, impressed when Finn managed to send the bludgr right back to Valeria. He had to look away from the beaters and focus back on the chasers though as Michael grabbed the quaffle and headed back towards him.
 
One day, Michael would manage to score a goal again. Today was not that day.
 
"Way to keep at it," Sawyer called to Michael as he managed to block the first year's attempt on goal. "Uh, that was sincere encouragement, by the way," he added, throwing the quaffle back out.
 
Hamish continued his search for the snitch
 
Xiuying grabbed a hold of the quaffle when it was thrown back out and circled her way back towards the hoops.
 
Sawyer had mostly been focusing on Branson and Michael so he knew he'd have to pay more attention once Xiuying got the quaffle.
 
When Xiuying was close enough to the hoops, the Ravenclaw chaser threw the quaffle towards the left hoop, but completely missed her shot.
 
Sawyer swerved as Xiuying took her shot, though thankfully the quaffle still missed the hoop even as he moved a little late. He gave Xiuying a slightly frazzled thumbs up as he grabbed the quaffle, throwing it back out.
 
Branson grabbed the ball when it was thrown back out and began circling back to the hoops.
 
Valeria didn't manage to hit the bludger she was aiming for.
 
Xiuying followed close behind Branson.
 
As soon as he was close enough he threw the ball and was able to send it through the hoop.
 
Valeria missed the bludger she was aiming for.
 
Sawyer psyched himself out as Branson approached with Xiuying behind him, expecting a pass at the last minute. Instead, Branson took the shot himself and Sawyer dodged to the wrong side, allowing an easy goal. Shaking his head wryly at himself, he scooped up the quaffle, throwing it back out.
 
Sawyer didn't know how the beaters managed to fly towards the bludgers without freaking out but he was glad they were staying away from him so far this practice.
