Lysander still felt pretty bitter about the loss in the last match, his last chance to win the cup before he graduated gone for good. He had to focus on the positives, and the fact that at the very least, it was one less thing to stress over. He had enough of that this year as it was. He just had to have fun with it, and that's what today's practice was all about. Lysander waved the team over, eager to get into the swing of things. "Hey, guys. So, I know we have our wonderful seekers." He began, gesturing a hand toward Flynn and Elara. "We all know how important they are, and you would think, surely two is enough, right? Wrong! Sometimes the beaters take out both the seeker and the alternate, so it's good to be prepared for when that happens. That's why today, I wanted to give everyone a chance to play as a seeker, and really learn how difficult the role can be in case you ever find yourselves suddenly swapped in to cover for someone else. It's best to be ready for anything, and I'm not going to be here much longer to help you guys." He smiled, a little sadly, and reached for the Quidditch box to release the orbs inside. "Now don't you guys worry, we aren't all going for the same snitch. I've got a few to practice with so that not everyone is fighting over it. And if you aren't enjoying it, we'll probably switch back to regular practice halfway through. This is just to let everyone try it out and be prepared. Any questions?" He paused to ask. There might have been some comments, but he just wanted to go ahead and focus on having fun himself. "Otherwise, you guys better get chasing these snitches before you lose sight of them."

Losing their first game and being robbed of another shot at the cup was disappointing to say the least, especially since Chloë knew she wouldn't get another shot at it. Nor would Emma and Lysander. That didn't mean they couldn't still have fun playing quidditch though and with only one term left she was keen to savour it all. She bit her lip in an attempt not to laugh when Lysander told them what they would be doing during this practice, or part of it at least. Admittedly, it sounded like a lot of fun. She just wondered whether Flynn would think the same. Chloë hopped onto her broom and pushed herself off into the air once they could get started, squinting as she tried to look around for one of the snitches. Quaffles and bludgers were definitely a lot easier to spot.

When Nikko arrived to the pitch he was ready to get to work. He wasn't ready for whatever Lysander had planned. He shifted awkwardly as their captain explained that they would be doing. He was feeling very uncertain about the whole thing but it could be fun. He would try his best but he wasn't convinced he would be very good at this.

Isaiah was excited for practice, happy to get right back into smacking bludgers. Needless to say, he was a little disappointed when he found out that wouldn't be what he would be doing. Being a seeker was difficult, he had learned that much, and having to scan the sky for something as little as the snitch would surely end up being a disaster. Nevertheless, he could appreciate the captain switching things up a little and happily got into the sky to look for one of the sneaky little things.

Nikko felt very out of his depth but he kept looking for the snitch.

Chloë did too.

Isaiah felt like even if one of the snitches would be anywhere near him it would take him a lot of effort to notice it.

Emma thought this practice was kind of silly, but fun. She had once really wanted to be the seeker, mostly for the glory. She grinned, ready to catch the snitch. Emma shot into the air and started looking around.

What kind of ridiculous practice was this? He didn't know about anyone else, but he actually wanted to win their next game. So what use was making everyone play as the seeker? Shouldn't they be practicing scoring or hitting bludgers or whatever? Needless to say, Flynn was not impressed, grumbling under his breath as he mounted his broom and kicked off with everyone else.

In some strange twist of fate Chloë actually managed to spot one of the golden balls nearby, feeling a little rush as she set off to chase after it. She was so used to playing as chaser that she needed to keep herself from instinctively looking around to see if anyone was near her, not wanting to lose her sight of it. Quite used to speeding up she pushed forward, somehow managing to wrap her fingers around the snitch and hold it up with an amused chuckle.

Isaiah felt like he was aimlessly flying around, a little disappointed he couldn't even spot one of the snitches. Especially since there were multiple flying around. He was surprised to see his cousin already having managed to catch one though, now feeling a little more like he wanted to get one too. He'd still prefer playing beater though, that much he was sure of.

Nikko wasn't too surprised when Chloe caught a snitch. She was used to chasing things after all while he was used to staying in one place. He kept looking but wasn't very confident he'd find one.

Lysander was surprised it hadn't taken that long for someone else to catch the snitch. He paused to applaud. "Yeeeaaaah, Chloë! New star seeker!" He shouted with a laugh, briefly casting a look at Flynn before flying off.

Chloë laughed at Lysander’s response, even if she was sure it had just been beginner’s luck.

Isaiah felt like looking for the snitch could quickly become annoying and he started to understand why some seekers could be so grumpy about it or why they sometimes felt a little discouraged.

After Chloë got the snitch, Emma felt even more motivated to grab it. She zoomed around, grinning when she spotted it. Emma flattened herself on her broom and reached for it. SHe let out a loud cheer as she grabbed it. "YES!

Nikko was more surprised when Emma caught the snitch. But it did make him want to keep trying.

Chloë gave a little cheer when Emma managed to catch one of the snitches as well, starting to think this might actually be a lot of fun.

Lysander joined in on cheering for Emma, and flew on to find his own snitch.

It was probably no surprise that Flynn wasn't trying all too hard. In fact, he had barely even moved as he watched everyone else flying around. He almost didn't see any point him being here if this wasn't even going to be a serious practice.

Isaiah was surprised to see Emma catch a snitch as well, hanging back a little to see how the rest was doing.

Nikko flew around the pitch and was shocked when he spotted a flash of gold. He raced after about it and after a moment he grabbed it out of the air and held it up proudly.

Flynn sat there and folded his arms as he watched. Everyone seemed to be having fun. Which was stupid when they should be practicing for the upcoming match.

Lysander slowed down, barely keeping from rolling his eyes at Flynn’s sulking on the spot. “Are you going to sit there and let everyone show you up?” He asked with a small laugh.

Nikko was pleased he had caught the snitch at least once but kept searching. He was starting to realize how fun playing seeker could be.
