Y37 Hufflepuff Practice S1 (2)

The sky had been gloomy most of practice, which made things a little more difficult when it came to spotting the snitch. A colder breeze blew and Elliot frowned as he searched the pitch. He really didn't want it to rain on them.

Tilly took her chance and whacked a bludger towards @Lucas Fletcher again. EXCEPT, this next bludger also went off course and slammed RIGHT back into her. A sharp pain exploded in Tilly's shoulder. She laughed loudly to get herself through the initial impact.

"I'm fine, I'm fine!" she shouted to @Elliot Briar before he could fuss over her. "Just going to take a break." She descended to the pitch and rubbed at her arm, hoping the soreness would go away. She tipped back her water bottle and looked up into the skies. Tilly wondered if it would rain.

Abian managed to get his hands on the quaffle again, and looked around to see if he could pass to anyone.

Lucas looked over at Tilly, a bit surprised and concerned. Had she really just hit herself with a bludger? He felt a little bad for her, but was also glad he hadn't been hit instead.

After downing the rest of her water bottle, Tilly shot back up into the air. As long as she didn't lean into her injured arm too much, she was OK.

Lucas flew a bit closer to the stands, wondering if the snitch could hide in there.

Abian didn't see a chance to pass the quaffle quickly, so he decided to attempt scoring again instead. The boy grinned when it sailed through the hoop smoothly.

Elliot didn't miss Tilly's unfortunate bludger hit, grimacing in sympathy. Getting hit was bad enough, but hitting yourself probably stung just that much more. He was glad she was okay and seemed to know her own limits enough to know when to take a break, so once she got to the ground safely, Elliot continued hunting for the snitch.

Tilly dodged a bludger, not feeling up to hitting this one. She was starting to lose some steam.

The clouds were starting to look particularly dark overhead and Elliot sped up a little in his fly-over of the pitch. If it started to rain on them, they'd probably just call it a day. The team had worked hard enough already, especially with exams so close.

Tilly looked up into the skies. She didn't want to be a target for lightning, but she loved a good rainstorm and hoped the clouds would meet her expectations. She hit a bludger that was headed towards the hoops and sent it off-course.

Elliot drifted closer to the ground, having finished his usual search pattern higher above the pitch and needing to get a bit closer to see if he could spot anything. Distantly, he thought he heard the sound of thunder.

Tilly jumped a little as she thought she heard thunder. She wondered if the captains were going to call practice or if they would continue. Tilly knew professional games were played no matter the weather.

Lillith caught the quaffle that was thrown back into play and looked for someone to pass it to. Not seeing anyone, she made another attempt for the hoops. The quaffle did a loopdy loop and soared into one of the hoops. The sky was getting darker and gloomier. She did love it when it was raining but she wondered how hard it would be for the seeker to catch the snitch in rainy weathers.

Elliot smiled when he spotted Lillith managing to score. Their plan for the rest of the season relied a lot on the chasers and he was glad to see they were working hard.

Tilly cheered when Lillith scored a goal. Then, she hit a bludger that was wandering too close to the hoops again.

Elliot shifted over as Tilly hit another bludger. It wasn't in any real danger of hitting him, but he didn't want to take any chances if he could avoid it. He did hope either he or Lucas could catch the snitch either before it rained or before they called an end to practice, if only to save Elliot the trouble of having to track it down later.

Tilly was very ready for a nap. She zipped through her teammates and tried not to get into anyone's way.

Tilly watched her teammates closely, blocking bludgers when she saw them.

Lillith caught the quaffle once more and wondered where all the chasers were. Not seeing anyone to pass it to, Lillith tried to make another goal but failed.

Tilly went back on the offensive, smacking a bludger towards her teammates, but hitting no one.

The team was still working hard, which Elliot appreciated, but he couldn't ignore it when the first slow drops of rain started falling down. Hoping they could squeeze out a bit more practice time before it started coming down, Elliot sped up in his search for the snitch.

OOCOut of Character:
Practice will close in a few more hours!

Tilly had to admit that the drops of rain felt great on her skin. It was easy to get overheated during practice.

Wiping some of the rain off his face, Elliot kept searching for the snitch, hoping for one last catch before they had to call it a day.

Tilly collected raindrops. She was one short of hitting the whole team (herself included) but she suspected her chances of that were now slim. Plus, she wasn't EXACTLY trying to do that... Was she?
