Y37 Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice S1

Édelie was frustrated by the events of today's practice and hoped it wasn't showing her how their next game would go. Hopefully, the adrenaline would give them more of a chance.
 
Aramis was trying to keep his eye on Edelie, but he had to wince when Mualla got Gaby with a bludger. The distraction seemed to work in his favour at least, as Edelie's shot was delayed enough for him to catch it and throw it back out to chasers.
 
Gemma was getting to used to the bludgers absence and was unprepared when she spotted one coming right at her. She raised her bat and swatted it away but she hadn't thought to aim it at anyone so it went wide and away from everyone. Which was probably for the best at this point.
 
Gabrielle had been sticking close to Édelie as she flew off with the quaffle again, feeling like so far they were doing quite okay as a team. A sudden pang of pain in her side made her slow down for a second, clutching it with one hand as she realized it had been a bludger. Gaby gave Mualla a weak smile, trying to push through the pain as she flew forward just in time to see Édelie attempt to score. She determinedly caught the quaffle as it was thrown back out again, turning around to get some distance between herself and the hoops.
 
Mualla came across another bludger while she was flying laps around the pitch and chased it until she'd catch up with it. She gave the bludger a whack with her bat once she was close enough to do so and send it straight towards @Daithi Dawley.

Gaby kept the quaffle safe under her arm as she moved further around the pitch.
 
Hugo wished he had spotted any sign of the snitch, but so far he didn't see it anywhere.
 
Gaby circled back towards the hoops with the quaffle, not too surprised her shot was easily blocked after her bludger hit.
 
Mualla continued to fly laps around the pitch again in search of bludgers.
 
Sophia kept up her search while trying to dodge bludgers coming her way. It wasn't an easy task, the beaters were swinging their bats like crazy.
 
Gemma blew out an exasperated breath when she couldn’t find any bludgers. She was starting to think they were actively hiding from her now.
 
Mualla was glad that most of them seemed to be doing ok so far. She could only hope they'd be playing well against Ilvermorny too.
 
Hugo thought he spotted something, but then he flew lower to see for sure and realized there was nothing there.
 
Édelie saw Gaby catch the quaffle as it was thrown out and then cringed at her bludger hit. She was sure it would be easier to play when the other team was getting hit with bludgers instead of their own. Unfortunately, Gaby didn't score, and Édelie flew up to her. "It's okay - you'll make it next time!"
 
Gemma finally spotted a bludger and raced after it, straying a bit too far from Hugo then she should have, and ended up missing the shot anyways.
 
Aramis sat up more on his broom as Gaby approached the hoops after catching it. Her shot was a little easier to catch that before though, which Aramis had to chalk up to the bludger hit, and he was able to snag it before it go to the hoops. He gave the chaser's a sympathetic shrug before throwing the quaffle back in.
 
Mualla smiled when she heard Édelie encourage Gaby. This was exactly what she needed in her team.
 
As far as Aramis could tell as he settled more into his position, Quidditch was a chill game right until it wasn't. He was could be calmly watching the other players move around until the quaffle or a bludger was coming at his head. It certainly kept you on your toes, he mused.
 
Édelie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in, flying out a ways and keeping an eye out for any bludgers. Everyone seemed to be getting hit, and she was figured one time was enough for her.
 
Aramis watched from the hoops as Édelie took the quaffle, keeping an eye on her so he'd know when he needed to move to hopefully block.
 
Mualla saw one of the bludgers coming her way fast as she was observing the team and hit it away from herself and towards @Hugo De Rosier. Both seekers were close to a trip to the hospital wing now, she was sure of it, so perhaps it was best to find other targets from now on.
 
Édelie saw a bludger nearby and moved out of its way as she held onto the quaffle. Not today. She flew towards the hoops again, looking out for her other chasers.
 
Édelie was coming his way, and Aramis straight up a little, getting ready to try and block her.
 
Gemma winced as Hugo got hit with a bludger again. She frowned in annoyance that she hadn't been able to stop it.
 
Édelie kept flying towards the hoops, looking for a way to psyche out Aramis.
