Y37 Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice S1

Mualla found another bludger to hit and hit it towards @Édelie de la Mora. She didn't really want to hit her but with half of the team on the verge of having to visit the hospital wing, she didn't really have a choice. She hoped Édelie was alright though.

Gaby caught the quaffle when Édelie passed it to her and headed for the hoops. She was about to pass it back to her when the other girl got hit by a bludger and thus she decided against it. She sort of hoped it would’ve distracted Aramis enough for her to get her shot in but figured that by now he would be set on not letting any more of their shots through. It didn’t surprise her when her shot got blocked and as it did she turned around to head over to Édelie for a second and see if she was alright.

Gemma had done as she was told and did he best to keep bludgers away from Hugo. But now she couldn't seem to find any to hit at all now.

Aramis stayed steady as he tried to keep an eye on who had the quaffle this time. It looked like Gaby was readying up to pass and he was ready to switch to watching Édelie until she was hit by an unfortunate bludger. Gambling that a pass to her right now would be a bad idea, Aramis focused on Gaby entirely, glad when it paid off and he was able to block her shot before throwing the quaffle back out.

Édelie had just passed the quaffle when she felt a bludger hit her in the side and then race away. Groaning, she looked up to see Gaby coming back her way and gave her a wave to signal she was fine. The pain was at least in a different spot this time, and she figured she’d let someone else start off with the quaffle for a bit.

Gemma sighed as no bludgers could be seen anywhere.

Aramis was definitely moving slower than he had at the start of practice, trying to avoid having to do too much extra defense until one of the chasers was right up on the hoops.

Gemma saw a bludger coming right for Hugo and she surged a head to meet it. She knew most of the team was at their limit with hits so at the last second she aimed for one of the chasers. She felt a little bad since chasers weren't their usual targets but it felt good to make a hit after a dull patch. @Daithi Dawley

It seemed liked the bludgers was taking a break hitting Gaby and Édelie and hit one of the other chasers for a change of pace. Gemma had been wrecking shop today and Aramis quietly shifted his broom ever so slightly away from her. Just in case.

Gemma knew that most of the team was in rough shape with all the bludger hits so she decided she was better off just playing defense at this point and watching out for any that were coming towards her or Hugo.

It looked like Édelie was hanging back after the bludger hit, which Aramis didn't blame her, so he kept his eyes peeled to see which chaser would grab the quaffle next.

Gemma stayed alert watching for bludgers but everything seemed clear to her.

Gaby had meant for someone else to catch the quaffle when it was thrown back out but when none of them seemed quick enough and Édelie looked like she was hanging back for a second she swooped in and caught the ball herself.

Élise was glad the practise was almost over. It was getting dangerous and she was getting tired. She just held her position and hoped for the practise to stop soon.

Gaby moved on with the quaffle, looking around for the other chasers to see if any of them were close.

Gaby had managed to grab the quaffle and Aramis watched contentedly from his spot near the hoops until the chasers got closer.

Gaby circled back towards the hoops, hoping to get just one more shot in. And she watched cheerfully as she did, even if she felt a bit bad for Aramis.

Gemma took a moment to watched the chasers make their way around the quidditch pitch. She had been so focused on the bludgers she had hardly noticed them at all. But she blinked quickly thinking she saw a bludger but it was nothing.

Mualla was pretty sure that all of them had been hit once or twice now and so decided to only let the team continue for a couple more minutes before blowing her whistle again to end things.

Hugo was grumpy because he hadn't even seen the snitch yet, let alone caught it. He kept looking with a frown on his face.

Mualla blew on the whistle around her neck after a few minutes and called the team together for one last chat before they could retreat to the locker room. ''Okay everybody, that is it for today,'' she smiled. She was happy with how things had gone, though hoped that the seekers would have a bit more success next time. ''If we all work together as a team, I bet you we will have no trouble against Ilvermorny. For now, rest up a little, you have all more than earned it!'' And with that, Mualla dismissed them and went to gather all the balls before changing herself.

OOCOut of Character:
That's it folks, thank you for participating! The game against Ilvermorny will be held on the 6th, if you have any questions don't be afraid to PM them to me!

Aramis scrambled to get to the quaffle as Gaby made her shot, not having reacted until she was too close. He didn't manage to block the shot and had been ready to throw the quaffle back into the game when Mualla ended the practice. Despite not managing to block that last shot, Aramis was actually feeling pretty confident about their upcoming game. This Quidditch stuff was pretty fun.
