Mualla put the chest with Quidditch equipment down on the ground when she arrived on the pitch and took a deep breath, filling her lungs with the cold autumn air. While the weather was less than ordeal, a slight drizzle had started as she made her way over to the pitch, she was eager to get started and practice with the team. She wasn't all too sure about the team's and their chances against Ilvermorny, but hoped that with enough training all would go well for them. That didn't mean that she wasn't going to drill some strategies and tactics into the team, however. Even if they managed to snatch a win against Ilvermorny, she knew that the Hogwarts teams were ruthless at times, which could easily break them if they weren't prepared for it. ''Good afternoon, everyone,'' Mualla said to some of the first players to arrive after her. ''I hope you have all had a good day?'' she asked, making small talk with them until the rest arrived as well.

OOCOut of Character:
Just arrivals for now, practice will begin in about 24 hours. Feel free to read up on the Quidditch rules if you want to refresh your memory a bit. You can always reach out to me if you've got any questions!

Hugo was excited to start practicing with the team. Though the rain made his excitement a little less thanit normally would be. But he knew they would be facing Ilvermorny soon, and they had to win to keep their streak going. He grinned at his captain as she greeted them. "Hi!" He said brightly. "I did! I'm excited to practice." He said eagerly. "Do you think we'll win against Ilvermorny?"

Gabrielle was excited to have made the team and even more so now it was finally time for their first practice of the year, her first practice with the team ever. Although she knew that counted for multiple of her teammates since there had been quite a couple of spots to fill. “Hi guys!” Gaby smiled at their captain and the other player already there, leaving it at that because she didn’t want to be rude and interrupt their conversation.

Aramis wished Quidditch season could have started with better weather, but he was still curious to get into practices and see what Hugo had spent all of last year doing. Heading out onto the pitch, Aramis tried not to feel too out of place in his quidditch gear, swinging his broom over his shoulders and hanging his arms around it as the team chatted. "We've won the last few years, right?" He said when Hugo asked about Ilvermorny. Aramis wasn't exactly worried about their upcoming game, but he still wouldn't mind if they managed to win, if only to keep up appearances.

Élise was exited to play Quidditch, half of the team was new and that meant she didn't have to push herself into some existing group. She was going to try her best and hoped to slay some Murican Ass. She walked over to the pitch with her new broom in hand and greeted her team and captain. ''Hey everyone'' Elise said while waiting for the captain to begin their practice.

Édelie was slightly nervous for her first quidditch practice, but she knew Mualla was a good captain. She was one of the oldest on the team which was just inevitable being a sixth year. But it felt weird to be new on the team and older. She tried to shake off her nerves as she made her way to the pitch with her new broom in hand. Everyone seemed very friendly so far, and the girl stood near Mualla since she wasn't familiar with the other students.

Ares couldn't help but be slightly annoyed to have only received the alternate position on the team, but he still made his way to the quidditch pitch nonetheless to practice for their upcoming game, despite the fact he probably won't be on field for it. He gathered around with his new team mates as he waited for the captain to start the practice and tell them what to do.

Gemma was excited that practice was finally starting. She had been looking forward to it ever since she had managed to make the team. She was a little disappointed that she was only alternate but she was ready to prove her worth, and that she was an immeasurably valuable member of the team. With her broom in one hand she walked up to where Hugo and Aramis were chatting with the captain. "That's what I've heard." she chimed in as she playfully hooked one of her arms around Hugo's shoulders. "And I think this year we'll do even better." she said with a smile.

Mualla smiled at the other arrivals and gave Édelie an encouraging nod, happy to finally have someone from her own year on the team, especially since she was one of the oldest now. She then turned back around to Hugo, Aramis and Gemma. ''I bet we won't have trouble against Ilvermorny this year. We have never had trouble against them,'' Mualla told them, which wasn't entirely true but she wasn't going to take away any confidence they might have. ''However,'' she went on, raising her voice a little so to catch the attention of the others as well. ''It is Quidditch, and if I have learned one thing about Quidditch, it is that you can never say for certain that we will win again.'' She gave the team a look around, really wanting to have this particular message stick with them, as she did not want them to be disappointed when and if they lost their match against Ilvermorny. It often seemed like a game of chance what with the miracles she had seen her own team, as well as Hogwarts, perform. ''On paper, their team is much more experienced than ours is at the moment. But that is why we are here this afternoon, to make sure that even on paper we are better than them.'' Now that she had everyone's attention, she decided to start things. ''Chasers, I want you to try and score as much as possible but don't be afraid to stop each other from doing so, try to steal the quaffle from one another every now and then. Aramis, it's up to you to try and stop them from scoring as much as possible - give them a hard time. Élise, you and I will both cover a Seeker and give the other one a run for their money, don't go easy. You take Sophia, I'll take Hugo. Gemma, you have free rein, try to hit as many bludgers as possible - give us a hard time. Seekers, just do what you do best, the person who catches the most snitches will receive a bag full of Bertie Botts after practice.'' While it was mostly meant as a joke, Mualla was hoping that they'd both do their best today. ''Everyone knows what to do? Alright, let's go!'' she said encouragingly, clapping her hands. She opened the chest of Quidditch equipment and released all the balls, kicking the quaffle as high and far away from them as she could. Shen then mounted her broomstick and kicked herself off of the ground, ready to finally play some Quidditch again.

EDIT: I accidentally forgot to include Gemma when addressing the beaters, my apologies.

Hugo was impressed by their captain as she spoke to them clearly, reminding them why it was important to practice. He listened closely, kind of glad she was the one who would be protecting him. He beamed as the captain promised him a bag full of Betrie Botts after practice if he caught the snitch more than Sophia. "You're on!" He said happily. He then took to the air and went to search for the snitch.

Aramis gave Mualla an okay sign at her instructions. He wasn't sure how well he'd fair against four chasers, but at least they were all new to the team as well. Flying up to the hoops, he tried to find a decent spot in the middle of them to guard them all and watched the game start to unfold.

Gaby nodded when the captain mentioned what she expected them to do. She mounted her broom and shot up into the air, scooping up the quaffle as she did before she started moving towards the side of the field their keeper was at.

Hugo zoomed past Aramis and pulled a face at his friend as he guarded the hoops. Man, Keeper seemed boring to him. He then flew off in search of the snitch.

Once Hugo was in the air as well, Mualla followed him from a slight distance just to make sure that she wouldn't get in his way. She swung her bat against a bludger that was coming their way, hitting it away from the seeker and sending it towards @Sophia Corelli with the hope that Élise would be able to stop it from making contact with its target.

Gabrielle continued her flight across the pitch, sneaking a glance behind her in an attempt to see where the other chasers were.

Aramis gave Hugo a little wave from where he was at the hoops, hunching over his broom to rest his arms along it. Gaby was heading his way so he knew he should straighten up and pay attention, but maybe when she was a little closer.

Gaby made her way closer to the hoops, trying to be confident in her abilities even if this was her first actual practice. She was still going to give it her best shot though. She quickly lined up her shot when Aramis didn’t seem too focussed yet, watching cheerfully as the quaffle sailed through the hoop.

Aramis had definitely left it too long to get into position to block Gaby, swearing under his breath as he scrambled to try and block the shot. "Good one," He said sheepishly, grabbing the quaffle and throwing it back in.

Hugo felt pretty safe with Mualla following him, especially when she hit a bludger away and hit Sophia instead. He winced a bit, hoping she wasn't too hurt.

With the quaffle back out to the chasers, Aramis knew he should stay on alert for one of them to come back, but it was tempting to get distracted either watching Hugo or just drifting. He hadn't expected his biggest hurdle to be his own attention span, but there it was.

Gemma couldn't wait to finally start practice. She took to the sky quickly and twirled the bat in her hand before spotting a bludger and taking a good hard swing. Much to her surprise and satisfaction she managed to hit Mualla. She mouthed 'sorry' to their captain but couldn't hide her satisfied smile. @Mualla Avar

(Was Sophia hit? x_X)

Sophia came along practice wishing now she hadn't given up commentating over the quidditch games. It's just not the same without her mic and getting hit by a bludger wasn't as pleasant when she was a constant target of them. Thinking of which, Sophia hadn't been that long in the air when the heavy, iron ball collided against her shoulder. Sophia let out a long hiss, wincing in pain. Sophia wobble over to her side, clutching down her broom handle in her attempts to stay on.

There were a few bludgers flying around and Aramis was glad he was tucked up safely by the hoops while the quaffle wasn't nearby.

Mualla had been satisfied when her first hit landed, though felt any satisfaction leave her as soon as she had been hit with a bludger herself. She gave Gemma a thumbs-up to indicate that she was ok and then continued to follow Hugo.

Gemma was feeling confident after landing a hit on her first try. She was eager to prove herself again as she spotted a bludger coming right at her. She hit it away and aimed it towards Hugo but because of the angle it went off course and hit their alternate chaser instead. @Ares Kuya-Tine
