Y36 Sorting Ceremony

Nikola was in a tight spot after his conversation turned meeting with Eritrea on the train before arriving at the castle. The closer they got to being sorted into one of the four houses, the more butterflies seemed to appear in the pit of his stomach. He had had a plan of attack to try and end up in the same house, despite the chasm that represented the differences in their personalities, but that plan was seeming less and less foolproof the more reality set in. The Sorting Hat was a magical item that no eleven year old could fool, and it was a fact that Nikola was slowly coming to realise as the last names left Letter P and Q, and started on the Rs. With the last name Raven, it wasn't long before the Rs reached his name, and he left Eretria to be sorted.

Seeing as he had no desire to acknowledge the other relatives he had at the school, Nikola looked straight ahead at his target and didn't dare risk making eye contact with an unfortunate cousin. The fledgeling wizard was sure he would honestly rather room with the centaur herd than be stuck in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor with Felicita and Artemisa. They were third years, which would mean he would be trapped with them for four long, tiring years before they graduated. That was four years too long of sharing a common room.

"Hello," he greeted the Hat politely, trying to get on its good side before he went about telling it exactly why he should be placed into Hufflepuff. Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were definitely not an option, and Slytherin was hardly tolerable. He wasn't sure if he were perfectly suited for Hufflepuff, but Nikola felt that there were mitigating circumstances that meant he would thrive best among Hufflepuffs. "I know you pick the best house for everyone, and I don't know if I'm Hufflepuff enough, whatever that means, but I'd really, really like to be placed there."

"I do take your desires into account when I sort, but on this matter I'm afraid I really just can't be swayed. Wish as you might for it to be otherwise, you're most certainly a RAVENCLAW!"

Melus is very excited! This moment is very important in her life, this is her childhood dream. And she thinks: "Oh I want to I will get to Griffindor, because is very interesting the Griffindor house. Please directed me there." In this moment she heard her name and she went to the chair, sat down and she waited for the answer...

"Alright, alright, I got it. GRYFFINDOR!"

The group of first years followed the professor through the giant doors. Alexis King kept back mostly to herself as she took in every detail on the doors and throughout the hall. She noted the way the candles floated and the way the clouds drifted. "Interesting Choice of magic" she thought to herself. She looked over at the tables. The Hufflepuff's were goofing off. "How ridiculous" Alexis mumbled. "Typical Hufflepuff." The Griffindor's were looking excitedly at the first years. "No doubt looking for someone like Harry to join their ranks." Alexis thought and rolled her eyes. She looked over at the Slytherin table. "Definitely not as awful as everyone says they are." She said then looked at the Ravenclaw table. "Now that's where I belong." Alexis smiled at herself as all the first years came to a stop in the front.

Alexis waited at the back for her name to be called as she looked at Snape and smiled. Her godfather was proud she was accepted into Hogwarts. Snape gave her a nod and her name was called out.

"Alexis King."

Alexis straightened up her posture dusted off her robe and walked up to the stool. She sat down and looked over at the Ravenclaw table. "Please let me be there. I would like to honour my family tree." Alexis silently asked as she waited for the final decision. She looked over at Snape one more time.

And yes before anything else was said she mentally noted not to mention seeing the ghost of her dead godfather to anyone.

"Snape isn't a ghost, and that's not Snape you're seeing - that's Professor Kalif Styx, who will also happen to be your head of house. Just don't call him dad! SLYTHERIN!"

As Nora entered the great hall, her thunders ran across her body. The moment had come for what Nora had been waiting for since the age of six - the sorting ceremony in Hogwarts. The girl had been wondering for a long time which tower she could get into. It was kind of a small test she had come up with to see how well she knew herself. And whether she resembles her parents.
Nora noticed a chair. There was an old hat on it. Sorting Nora knew it was a hat that classified the first inhabitants in the towers. Although Nora had heard a lot about Hogwarts from her cousin and other relatives, she hadn't expected that. Then the first first settlers were called. It seemed to Nora that the first inhabitants at the hat were called by surnames.
-Leonora Evans-
The girl's heart sank when she heard her name. Nora ran through the herd of natives and sat down unsteadily in a chair. She put Sorting on her head and waited for her to decide. Only you, Sorting, know that. I just have a hunch. Nora muttered as quietly as she could. This was a decisive step that could also affect Nora's life.

"There's little doubt that you're a GRYFFINDOR!"

Amara was tired and exciting. She woked up early to check things before going. She was relly happy to get the letter from Hogward, and next days she couldn't sleep but wonder how it will be to learn magic, and other magical things, because she untill the letter arrived, Amara went to muggle school. Her parents hoped the it will help in her future.

When they walked through corridors, she felt like she went through ancient history and she felt like she'd love to learn it. She walked and amaze everything, expecaly the portrets who moved and looked at them.
When the ceremony began she started to feel nervous, she didn't have brother or sister so she felt alone. Amara waited her turn, and after every called name she felt more and more nervous. She looked at every named person and studied every move, she didn't want to embarrass herself.

''Clare, Amara.''

When she heard her name she startled, she felt like she wasn't ready. She breathe in and out, then with a straight back Amara kept going. Then not too fast and not too slow she climbed up the stairs and sat down on the chair. She felt terrifiered and when hat was on her head, it was too big and it fell over her eyes.
When the hat was on all she wanted to be in right place and meet with the right people.

"I put everyone in the right place! It's your job to find the right people - but you'll be off to a good start in HUFFLEPUFF!"

It was time to get his house and Finn confidently walked into the great hall with others. He looked at some of the people he had met before Hogwarts. Perseus was there, so was Penny and Hayzel. He shot Hayzel a wink, but she seemed to be busy with her posse of triplets. Finn gave all the house tables a look, but didn't really care which one would be his. He could learn to be a Quidditch player in every house so he went in pretty clean.

Some weirdo's were sorted, one girl did an odd twirl before getting sorted and another was actually holding a plant. Finn giggled, he did like crazy. He was curious to see what his house was going to be and waited for his turn. Luckily he had plenty of time to watch the other firsties to get sorted, making mental notes on the boys and girls he could see as future friends. He hoped there was someone else on this school that played tennis, so he could still train for the tournaments that he would join in the breaks. Luckily for Finn he club was pretty lenient and was aware of his boarding school situation.

''Lockley, Finn.''

His name was called and he calmly walked to the front of the Great Hall. Hayzel would be sorted way later and Finn waited for the hat to do his magic and pick out a house that would suit him best.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

Blue's stomach hurt, and not just from the dozen or so chocolate frogs she'd consumed on the train ride. They'd kept her company during the journey, and then Blue had eaten them. Such was life. She hadn't expected to feel as though the frogs had transformed into butterflies in her stomach as she entered the Great Hall, though, and wondered if that was a feature of consuming too much chocolate. The starry ceiling above her captured Blue's attention as she half-listened to what the headmistress was saying. Perhaps she could try touch it if she stacked all the tables up and climbed them? Or used a broom, but that felt too obvious and lacked the style of building a makeshift mountain to scale.

"Hoshino, Blue,"

A small squeak escaped Blue as she approached the front. She made a point not to look for Teddy, even though her brother was sure to be watching her from the Ravenclaw table. She'd soon see either his relief or disappointment, depending on what house Blue ended up in. Blue hadn't decided if she had a preference. Slytherin would please her family, but Blue had never been very good at doing what they wanted. The small silver snake charm that Teddy had been given before his Sorting had been passed on to Blue, and she played with it absently as she sat down on the stool and let the hat swallow up her head.

"That silver snake charm could well indicate your house, a fair number of those kind value daddy's opinion above all else... but there's something that tells me you'll really shine in GRYFFINDOR!"

Renesmee Vargo have no friends and no brothers or sisters, she was alone since she was borned. She always wanted to be someone important in this life, and Hogwarts was her opportunity. In the train, she didn't talk with someone, she just listen music and read a good book. She noticed those ''good'' girls, with their perfect hair and perfect nails, talking behind her but only with a glance of her and the evil girls were frightened.

Now, she wait her turn at the sorting ceremony, marveling at the grandeur of the castle and how many wizards were in a room. She felt anxious and nervous because of this new chapter. This and because the had a fight with her mom, a muggleborn who doesn't understand the black magic, secretly Renesmee's favorite magic

"Renesmee, Vargo"

She climbed the podium where sorting hat was put on her head. Somewhere, behind, at the Slytherin house, she saw some blue eyes staring at her. But the hat started to speak and now it is the beginning .

"You have a lot to learn about magic... and life, and you'll find there are no kinder people to learn among than the HUFFLEPUFF!"

Vivid stars twinkled through white wisps of cloud overhead of those entering the Great Hall, shining brightly against the velvet darkness of space that blanketed the entirety of its ceiling, dominated by a single pale moon that bathed the room's entrants in a silvery light. The hall itself was further illuminated by flickering candle flames that appeared to sway and float in mid-air as if held aloft by invisible threads, bathing the building's lengthy tables adorned with shining dishes in a warm glow. Katherine herself stood positioned behind a podium at the forefront of the hall, greeting the youths who entered with a silent nod and a small smile. A sea of faces both new and old, from those here for their first year, to those here for their last.

"Welcome," Katherine began, her eyes sweeping over the sea of faces already gathered at the house tables, and those waiting to join them. "To those of you returning for another year, and to those of you joining us for the first time today. For many of you, this day marks the start of your journey as young witches and wizards in the magical world. The castle and its surrounding grounds will be your home for the next seven years - a place for you all to live, to learn, and to grow. That being said, I must remind the older students, and caution those of you who are new, that the Forbidden Forest is strictly off-limits to students unless supervised by a professor or member of staff. It may look enticing to some of you, but many dangers lurk within the forest. It is restricted for your safety, and any rule breakers will be punished accordingly."

The woman let her warning linger for a moment, eyeing those in particular who appeared more than willing to break that rule, before continuing on. "Now, let's begin. Each of you will be sorted into a house, which you will remain in for the duration of your time here. These houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, named after each of the original founding members of this prestigious school." As she spoke each name, banners rolled up against the farthest wall suddenly unfurled, depicting the colours and crests of each individual house, matching the silk cloths adorning each table. "First Years, as I call your name, step forward and seat yourselves here." Katherine gestured toward the short stool at the front of the hall, situated in perfect view of everyone present. "Once seated, I will place the Sorting Hat upon your heads, after which your future house will be decided and you are to move on to your table and join your new housemates. This decision is final, and houses cannot be changed once the Sorting Hat has made its decision. Now, let us begin." Ending it on that note, the woman unravelled the roll of parchment in front of her and called up the first name.

As stated in the Information about Sorting thread, you must fill out the sorting form entirely properly and fill in an RP as exemplified in the post. If your RP does not leave room for the sorting hat to sort you: you will not be sorted. If the sorting hat does not receive your sorting form: you will not be sorted. Follow instructions and: you will be sorted.

You can edit your post once you are sorted, but be sure that you only reply to this topic once and it is through the sorting form provided. Thank you.

Sky looked at the twinkling stars above her head and did not notice anything until her name got called.

"Lovermoon, Sky"

Actually, it was the second time... She had been distracted again and when she finally heard Professor Alicastell call her she tripped and almost fell on the stairs to the stool. She was embarrassed, of course, but she wouldn't let the giggling crowd get her down. She had a glimpse of her brother before the hat covered her eyes. Ash was smiling and so did she.

"So... What do we have here?" the hat said

And she sat there for what felt like ages... The hat couldn't decide. When it finally announced her house to the whole hall she felt electricity run her body. She was never happier.

"There's no doubt about it - GRYFFINDOR!"

It was strange to be stepping out of sequence, but that's how it would work when they were called up alphabetically to recieve the house for the next seven years. While it didn't really matter where each of the Parris children went, Albertus personally hoped that they would be seperated out across all four, so that when they came together they would have information about each one. The worst thing would have been if there was just one house that they returned home without any further information about. He stood with the others, just watching as the students went up to sit underneath a magical hat. It all seemed a little, childish, if he were honest, and Albertus had to wonder whether the hat had perhaps been jinxed and was just relaying the information via one of the professors that sat up ahead. He was the first one of the group to be called, and moving past Circe with a smile, something he didn't get to do often given that she was usually before him, the boy walked up to the front and sat underneath the hat. From here the view was incredible, watching all the faces looking at him. He felt like he was about to lead them all together, although judging by the other sortees it wouldn't take long. As soon as he could he would return to those he'd been seperated from during the process, and tell them what he'd discovered about his house. Only now, he was about to find out which was one that would be.

"Me?! Jinxed! Never! I'm perfectly enchanted! But for you....which of these houses are you....hmmm...oh I know..Gryffindor,"

Watching Albertus up ahead was a daunting prospect. It was beginning of the group being split, divided in a way they had never been before in their lives. They'd grown up together, seen each other every day, not seperated by a house that would dictate what was to become of them through personality. What did that ever have to do anything? Just because a student believed a certain thing didn't necessarily reflect the outcome of what they did, so really the entire point of a house was subjective at all. Argos was never the first person to do something, but on this occasion he was the second. After Albertus moved off the stool towards his new housemates, it was the silvery haired boy's chance to get sorted too, and with a sigh he moved up the stairs swiftly to get this over with. As far as he was concerned they wouldn't be spending much time in the common rooms anyway, so once again this whole ordeal was made somewhat redundant to the first year.

"Oh, another one...interesting....you on the other hand, you have something else...an intelligence and desire for learning...Ravenclaw"

James was happy to be in new surroundings that weren't crawling with various magical plants. Growing up with a nursery at the back of the house had bred a certain disdain for all things Herbology. The wide open spaces and no greenery were a welcome change. James had parted from his sister on the train and sat with his other siblings as the three of them made their journey to their new school together. James fell in line with the other first years as they made their way into the Great hall where they were led toward a stool at the end of the hall with the sorting hat resting upon it. James had some ideas where he might end up but he'd never vocalised them. He waited patiently, knowing he would be stood around for a while with his siblings until the professor reached the W's. "Woodlock, James," James made his way up to the stool and took his seat...waiting.

"Well...a complicated mind..you'd certainly never struggle in any of our houses...but you have a preference...and I'm inclined to agree....Slytherin"

Cheiro stood with his hands in his pockets, making faces as he waited patiently for his turn. It didn't matter if it was age or alphabetical, Cheiro would always be third. Some of the houses looked a bit better than the others if he were honest. Some people looked, scruffy, bored, almost like they didn't care to be there as the new students arrived. He supposed most of the oldest students wouldn't ever learn the names of the new first years, not unless there was someone particularly special. He intended to be special. Well, he knew he already was, but he wanted people to know who he was. While he was glad for the chance to step out of the academy and do something different than his parents in his life, he had no intention of leaving this place without all if not most of the students knowing who he was. Parris or not, people would come to learn who they were eventually. He waited for his turn and when his name was called he stood tall, flicking his blonde hair as he walked with a jut of his neck, taking a seat with a smirk. "Do your worst," he muttered to the hat, half tempted to take a bow before walking away from the platform towards his table.

"All I ever do is my best...and my best here is Hufflepuff,"

Circe Parris was not used to being so far down the line. The children had managed to get to the Great Hall more or less unscathed, although there had been a questionable dog experience on the train that she didn't want to get caught up in again. She spotted the boy that had approached them earlier on in the day, hoping that he wouldn't bother them again. Circe wasn't sure how anyone could have a pet when they were trying to focus on themselves for the time being. Pet's could come later, when they ahd the responsiblity to look after it properly. She noted the boys as they were sorted into their houses, and the glances from other students as they realised there was more Parris in the school this year. They weren't a real family. They weren't even related. But they were here because they had a job to do and each and every one of them intended to carry this out. When her name was finally spoken, she took the steps up to the hat cautiously, wondering how it was supposed to read her mind. That, after all, was essentially what it seemed to be doing. That must have been some sort of dark magic. Circe didn't trust it all, and would feel more comfortable when she could get a chance to learn how all of this worked out here.

"I'm wondering how many of you there are....but you, this is more difficult that the ones before you, you straddle the line between Gryffindor and Slytherin..loyal to friends, but ambitious....hmmm..better be...Slytherin,"

Saying Lily has never been more prepared and assured of anything in her life would probably be a understatement. She stood tall and proud, very noticeable with her golden blonde hair neatly tied back by a black ribbon and deep blue eyes gleaming. The South African sun did her skin well. She'd have to adjust not speaking afrikaans that much anymore. After all she was born in Bristol.

The names were being called out already. Thet were nearing the letter R so she is close to being called up to be sorted into her Hogwarts house. She didn't have a house preference at that moment. Her only goal was to become well known in history and ideally one day minister, whatever it takes. She smirked slightly to herself. Her mother had been in Slytherin and her father in Ravenclaw. They're opinion on the matter was either gryffindor surprisingly or Slytherin, not that it really matterd.

'Stanley, James' A boy's name was called out and he was sorted into Hufflepuff. She must be next!

'Stonem, Lily' It was her turn. She sat on the chair , her future school life already flashing by as she planned ahead. She tried not to think too much about the sorting, neither to the hats mumbling. 'Alright then were shall I go?'..

"SLYTHERIN!"

Evelyn had her arms crossed over her chest as she waited for her turn to be sorted. Coming in the hall it was nothing like they had at home in the slightest. It almost seemed juvenile. How were they expected to learn the best of the best when they were being taught in a playground? Evelyn rolled her head as she waited impatiently for her turn to be sorted. The sooner they got into their houses, the sooner they could sleep, which meant that they could meet up again tomorrow to talk about their first impressions. As she stood with Olga, they were the last kids to be sorted and she gave her friends a nervous shrug when her name was called, hoping that she would be paired with at least someone she knew. While Evelyn had nothing against making new friends, it was a lot to take in all at once, so knowing at least one person would have been a plus. Taking a seat she waited to hear which house she was going to be placed in, thinking that some houses colours would look nicer on her than others, but not wanting to influence the hat based on something so trivial.

"Everyone suits the colours they get...and it doesn't affect my decision.....I hope you like yellow...Hufflepuff,"

Olga was busy watching the other people when they were stood waiting to be sorted. Watching to see what their reactions to the hat would be more than anything else going on. She would pass through whatever challenges she had to whilst she was at school, that wasn't important. What was important though was that she wanted to see how people would deal with their own situations as they occured. Students were a mix of energetic and nervous around her, and Olga made the most of the fact that she was the last person to be sorted out of her group. She took to the stool when her name was called, straightening out her outfit as she crossed in light steps, hopping up onto the stool with her legs not even able to touch the ground. All the talk about the houses on the train helped her to know where she wanted to be placed, but that didn't necessarily make it the best place for her to be. If this school wanted to assess its students, Olga wanted to find out what qualified them for their houses, and the first step of doing that was to see where she would be going. She waited calming, hands clasped in her lap, and hoped that she'd be able to least join one of the other Parris children for the next few years.

"The chances of you joining one of your siblings is very high....it would be impossible to not..Ravenclaw,"

Hayzel followed Cassiah as they entered the hall of Hogwarts. Everything was so magical despiye growing around magic her own life. They were ushered to the front where they would get sorted, just like what their parents told them. Rye on the other side of Cassiah, Hayzel took the chance to lool around and caught Finn's eye. He had sent her a wink to which she was supposed to reply back with her tongue out but her attention was caught by Cassiah squeezing her hand. Playfully rolling her eyes, she whispered. "It would be more fun if we are in the same house right?" She may be hoping for Gryffindor but she would enjoy it more if her siblings were with her. Or her new friends, especially Finn. The sorting started and it would take a while before it got to Ws. She clapped her hand as Finn got sorted to Hufflepuff and Perseus to Slytherin. The girl chuckled inwardly knowing that the boy wanted to get into Ravenclaw. Soon enough, the first West was called. She looked at Cassiah climed the steps to the sorting hat. The nervousness was visible on Cassiah while Hayzel moved closer to Rye, linking their arms. All she knew Rye would want to be with them, his promise to their parents. Cassiah got Ravenclaw. Now, Hayzel was in the spot. She would want to be with her twin girl in Ravenclaw, be in Hufflepuff with Finn and be in Gryffindor.

"West, Hayzel."

Hayzel squeezed Rye before pushing forward to the front. She sat casually on the chair with the hat on her head. So many things in her mind now. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw....Ravenpuff, Huffledor, Gryffinclaw... She shook her head with a chuckle. She was thinking of them too much, she got the names jumbled. Wherever she got placed, she would make sure she would have lots of fun and adventures.

"If only Gryffinclaw did exist that would describe you well, but between those two, you've just got a little more adventure in you.....Gryffindor!"

As clenchy entered the room, she cannot help but notice the enchanted ceilings and the students that were sitting in long tables with the four houses sorted. She glances at the table where the gryffindors are sitting and hopes she can join them too.
And because she is too preoccupied to hoping she is put to gryffindor she did not notice that she and her fellow first years are in the center already. She can see the sorting hat in the chair and she is shaking now. One by one the first years were called by proffesor mcgonagall. Finally proffesor called Clenchy and she could feel her heart pounding so hard. She was scared and also excited to be sorted and is hoping for a good result.
As the sorting hat was placed in her head, all she can imagine is that wherever house she is placed, she will enjoy and will make a lot of memories.

"You will make so many memories here, and you'll do it best in Gryffindor,"

As i was searching for my brother who was a second year in the hufflepuff house. The headmaster then called my name, I was hesitant to walk in front of the many young wizards and witches looking at me with gazes that says " another half blood oriental". At the second beckoning of headmaster katherine, i urged myself to walk in front, feeling nervous and excited at the same time.

As i walked slowly forward, hands curled up around my chest, head down. I was thinking of the things that i will do in the span of seven years. The goal to be an auror and have close friends that i could count of, the adventures that i will encounter, the spells that i will learn and use! And being friendly with a gryphon too! As i sat down on the stool i saw my brother, widely smiling at me, with his group of friends trying to say that we do not look the same. I took a long breath before the headmaster put the sorting hat on me and said to myself " I can do this".

"You are certainly adventurous...but even more so is this intelligence...you'll excel best in Ravenclaw,"

As Gorllewin entered the great hall he was amazed by the beauty he was a bit nervous of what house he would be chosen to but he knew he wanted to be in gryffindor like the rest of his family so one by one the students were picked and he would always hear the words hufflepuff, gryffindor, slytherin, and ravenclaw as he was just standing there one of the students named percival came up and said "how about you where do you think you'll end up?" Gorllewin replied "probably gryffindor like the rest of my family" "I think I"ll end up in gryffindor too my names percival how about you?" percival asked, Gorllewin replied by saying "Gorllewin that's my name" "well it's great to meet you percival said "GORLLEWIN!" the sorting hat said, as soon as Gorllewin heard his named he took a deep breath and walked up thr stairs and sat down and said "I hope you make the right decision because i really want to be in gryffindor like the rest of my family.

"Good new for you, you take very much after your family....so much so...Gryffindor,"

I leaned against the walls hard texture, wringing my hand together trying to shake of my anxiousness. My life long friend (thats not very long!), Molly, seemed to notice.

"stop it Cam, it's going to be fine, you don't even have a preferred house, I'm here with you it's okey." she took my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. She is right, I'm being silly.

After Molly had been ssorted into Gryffindor, it was finally my turn.

"Stonem, Camille!"

I quickly came up and sat on the chair, the sorting hat was placed on my head. I blew out a breath I obviously knew I had been holding.

"Anxious one, aren't you? Where to put you, Ravenclaw like your father or Slytherin like your mother, maybe neither? Pure heart, yet creative mind, but also cunning, maybe even brave.Maybe..."
Come on! I thought...

"It'll be neither...you'll do best in Gryffindor,"

Sam was just looking around and everything seemed so stranges, she didn't understan how is it possible that she can see sky and then she was something she didn't expect to see. Sam saw her cousin Zoey and just got more confused but didn't say anything. She was scared that now hat will say that there was just a mistake and she is just a muggle, so she was pressing closer to her best friend Amara. Samantha thought that friend looks like she is made for it, like she is born to now be here and be sorted. "My cousin is here," she finally said something with stressed voice and then they called Amara to go and get sorted. Sam felt like she lost all she could lean on but actually she just normally standed and tried to don't be that stressed. She looked how everyone was going and getting sorted and finally she needed to go to.

"You will come to understand all of this very soon, and you'll do that best in...Hufflepuff,"

Terrell had been having the best day from the moment he had woken up, to the moment he was walking up the middle of the Great Hall to be sorted. He couldn’t help but feel excited about the upcoming sorting and school year. He gawped up at the ceiling where candles hung magically below a nights sky.

Distracted, the group of first years came to a stop and he bumped into the person in front of him, his head still looking up at the sky. “Oops sorry!” he said to the student and forced himself to look forward and be more present. He didn’t want to miss anything.

They started to be called up one by one, as the hat was placed on their heads, their houses were announced. He watched as more and more people were sorted and soon it was his turn.

“Foley, Terrell”

Terrell sparked into action, stepping forward and letting the hat be placed on his head to sort him into his house.

"There is a whole lot of bravery here...a whole lot....this is an easy choice, Gryffindor,"
