Y36 Sorting Ceremony

Alison had always expected that she would attend Hogwarts, despite her father being a muggle it had always been taken for granted that she would be a witch like her mother and her cousin so it had been a relief when she began to show signs of magic as a child. Now the day had finally come that she was at the school Alison realised just how much she had wanted to be at the school. Alison had enjoyed the train ride and had met some interesting, if slightly odd, people and was looking forward to getting to know them more and meeting more people, even if doing so felt unnatural to her she was determined to push through her awkwardness to make sure she maximized her experience at the school, it would be her home for seven years after all.

The school was everything Luna had described yet her words hadn't done it justice. Alison hadn't seen her cousin since they parted at the platform and she briefly wondered if they would be in the same house, but she doubted it very much, she just couldn't see herself in Slytherin. Alison stood outside the Great hall among her fellow first years and once the doors opened she followed them inside to the stool at the top of the room. One by one students were called to the front and had a hat placed on their head. Alison waited nervously and the group of students had grown very thin by the time her name was called. "Urquhart, Alison," Alison swallowed hard and walked up to the stool and took her seat.

"I could see you in Slytherin, but it's certainly not the best fit for you. You want to be with the brightest and while those are present in every house, I think you'll find a great deal in RAVENCLAW!"

A surname that begins with the letter Q had never really struck Prudence as a problem until entering the great hall at Hogwarts New Zealand. This new problem distracted her, if but for a brief moment, from the question that had been bothering her since her parents moved them across the world: who decided to open a wizarding school in New Zealand and just rip off Hogwarts entirely? This old question returned to her mind quickly, however, as the sorting hat appears. Well, "the" sorting hat. If it even was the actual hat of Godric Gryffindor. Who knew, after all? Certainly not her. She hoped against hope that she wasn't about to be sorted by some second rate hat - nevertheless, sorting couldn't come quick enough. Soon she would join the ranks of all those who bore the noble names of the (real) Hogwarts founders in their lives - that was something she could get excited about!

Just when she was sure to collapse from waiting so long: "Quincey, Prudence"

"Oh no, don't collapse yet, I haven't told you the best news, Slytherin,"

Corvus Hensel walked into the Great Hall, and it was everything that he thought it would be and more. Katia really needed to describe things better since this was magnificent. Corvus wondered how his mom and her new man were doing, since Corvus knew that her mom wanted to kill him once. Corvus sang that too, right to his face. It did make him a little disappointed that Quil left the house without a single scratch, and his mom just ended up in bed. Oh well, Corvus was excited for the year. His mom had to care for the new addition anyway. He heard his name and he walked up to the stool to sat down. He just did not want to be in the same house as Katia. It would be no fun there.

"Oh no, certainly, there's not much Ravenclaw in you...but that's not a bad thing, you've a lot of energy and tradition is quite important to you...Hufflepuff,"

Jade Winters did not know what to expect as she walked through the doors of the Great Hall, surrounded around people that she did not know, some family and some otherwise. Jade placed her hands in her robes as she waited for her name to be called. Her eyes were golden, much like her father and his father before him. She was not a fan of her father's side of the family, but who could blame her? Her grandfather on that side was in Azkaban, and so was his brother. Her mother's side was a lot more open, less criminals as far as she knew. Jade knew that she was going to be one of the latter to be sorted, so she was patient. She had no reason not to be. The youngest looked to the Slytherin table to see her older brother, Jett. He was sitting with other family members, and was watching her. She gave a small wave once her name was called. She walked up to the stool and sat down. She waited for the hat to shout her house for all to hear.

"No need to wave at him, you'll be sitting with him soon enough...Slytherin,"

Nola was incredibly excited. There were so so many people around her, and she felt in her element. All the faces of the strangers were definitely just friends she hadn't made yet. And she couldn't wait to start making friends. Of course she was nervous as well. There was a huge great unknown looming ahead. Nola really hoped that she would be placed in the same house as Caleb, even though they had only known each other for two years, she would desperately miss her brother if they weren't in the same house anymore.
@Caleb Bennett didn't seem that excited when he was called up, but she clapped quickly as he did so anyway, excited to see where he would end up. She clapped and cheered loudly when he was sorted, and then it was her turn. Her nerves overtook her again, and she hoped that she would be placed in Gryffindor, purely for Caleb. With a deep breath in, Nola walked onto the stage and took her seat, waiting for the (not so fashionable) hat to be placed on her head, and seal her fate.

"I don't think you need to worry much about not being with him..there's so much desire for adventure, more than enough ambition and just enough bravery for....Gryffindor,"

From home to the train station, her mother was telling her that she's the oldest of the three and whatnot she should do while they're at school. It was still echoing in her ears until Cassiah heard a woman's voice and the hat singing his usual song. Leslie, their mum, had described what it was like to be sorted. For one, it does take long and two ... Didn't she mentioned it took long? Beside her were her other siblings; Hayzel and Rye. Cassiah held their hands and while the woman in front continued to call out names, she said to her siblings. "If our houses aren't the same, we still make time for each other, okay?" Cassiah was nervous, she didn't want to loose touch with them. They might end up being busy with classes and extra activity but they needed time for each other. That's what Cassiah promised her mother. "West, Cassiah!" Called the Headmistres. The oldest West came forward, untying her hand with her siblings. The older brunette sat on the stool provided and felt the hat being put on top of her head. That was it, her fear of being judge wrong by whoever, even the Sorting Hat.

"I could see you in Slytherin, but if you really want a place where people won't look at you differently for your parents that's not it. No, you'll stand on your own merits much better in RAVENCLAW!"

Kirsten Snow did not know how to feel about coming to a new school. After being raised in the United States and her parents moved to New Zealand, she was expecting Ilvermorny and did all of her research on those houses. Not Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Everything would have been perfect if things did not change. Now, she was heading into this and did not know a damn thing. Kirsten was frustrated. At least Phillip had time to figure things out. She waited for her name to be called by the Headmistress to put the hat on her head. She wasn't sure what she was going to do in this school. Quidditch? Clubs? Who knew. She heard her name and the part-veela walked up to the stool, and plopped down. She felt the pressure of the hat on her head, and all she could wish for, was a place where she belonged. She knew nothing about these houses after all. These were not Wampus, Thunderbird, Horned Serpent, or Pukwudgie.

"I can see how distressed you are to be so ill-prepared. Don't worry, you're in good hands - you don't need to know about your house to belong there. You belong in RAVENCLAW!"

There had been a mild level of excitement building up for Sawyer all day as the journey to school has started, but by now, he was just tired and hungry. The castle was impressive, no doubt, but Sawyer couldn't help but view the whole place as noisy and strange. He would never admit it, preferring to trade jokes and reassurances with Theia about them striking out on their own the whole trip over, but Sawyer was starting to feel nervous and pretty homesick. It had been bad enough having to sleep in an empty room once Theia had gone off to school, but stepping into the Great Hall, Sawyer couldn't help but shake off the awareness that everything was about to change all over again.

He listened half-heartedly to the opening speeches and as some of the other students ahead of him began to get sorted, mostly focusing on trying to grab Theia's attention and make faces at some of the funnier last names. It had occurred to Sawyer early on it was quite likely he wouldn't be in the same house as her, and Sawyer was hopeful he'd be wrong about that. It wasn't too long till his name was called though, and Sawyer stepped up to the hat, locking his eyes with Theia and crossing his fingers he'd end up in Slytherin with her.

"You'll have plenty of time with your sister, don't worry - but I think your wit and adaptive nature will have you most enjoying the world of RAVENCLAW!"

Ricky honestly didn't know how he felt about coming to Hogwarts. He was mostly excited because he was going to experience a whole new world that is going to be with him for the rest of his life. But also nervous because he had no knowledge of the Wizarding World. While walking into the big Hall, filled with students, he looked around the hall with amazement and joy, 'this is what i am going to experience' Ricky thought as he looked around at the floating candles. He wondered if there was a fancy magical kitchen in the castle, so he could bake things. He wondered the 'what ifs' of the castle, that he heard someone call his name.

"Richard Andrews"

He cringed slightly at the name, he did not like his name at all, he slowly made his way to the stool and felt the magical hat on top of his head, waiting for what house he would be placed in.

"Your loyalty and excitement for a whole new world will be well fostered in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Going to school in a magical castle was Marie’s dream, a fairy tale transformed into reality in front of her eyes. She could see dragons, unicorns, and learn to cast magic, even climb to the tallest tower and attempt to braid her hair and let it cascade down the stone like Rapunzel if she wanted. Despite the clear evidence her hair wasn’t near long enough to do so, she kept every dream of her time in a real castle alive, knowing she was a witch and that Hogwarts was her destiny meant endless possibilities, and for all her wildest dreams and fantasies from all her princess movies and stories to come true. Marie couldn’t wait to finally get to Hogwarts and start the rest of her life, practically bursting out of her seat on the Hogwarts express when it arrived to the castle, and dragging Elodie to the front of the group of new students where she walked hand in hand with her into the great hall. As the large doors opened to reveal the hall Marie was in awe, her jaw dropping as she looked to the ceiling to see the floating candles and beautiful night sky. In a mix of excitement and nervousness, Marie squeezed Elodie’s hand as they walked, her knuckles turning white as she was unable to contain herself when the group stopped in front of a stool, the headmistress standing nearby and explaining the rules of the sorting ceremony.

Marie knew a little about Hogwarts, her father going to Hogwarts Scotland when he was younger, and her older brother once a muggle studies professor in the very castle she now stood giving her some understanding of what she should expect when she arrived. She was a little nervous admittedly, not from worrying but from not knowing what the hat would say to her when she was sorted, or what house the hat would choose for her. That was the one thing that was unknown to her, the one thing her family couldn’t tell her to expect and though the unknown was a little scary, she was excited for it, too. With her surname early on in the alphabet, Marie was soon called forward to be sorted. She let go of Elodie’s hand and stepped up, moving to sit on the stool and closing her eyes as the hat was placed on her head. Marie knew a little about the houses, but did not know which house would suit her best. She was more than happy to leave that to the hat, and trusted it would choose the perfect house to be the setting of the fairy tale that would be the next seven years of her life.

"I'm sure you'll be more than content in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Dragon Bogies! When is this gonna be over?

Evangelia had to pee. To be clear, she really had to pee. It was the type of pee that warped her sense of time and space, making every step feel like an eternity and enhancing the force of gravity on her bladder alone– so much so that it threatened to yank the urine out of her at any given moment. Angelia tried to distract herself by watching the enchanted ceiling above her. The stars glinted in a way that was absolutely mesmerizing. Really, it would have been more mesmerizing if she didn’t feel like she was about to die, but it was lovely all the same.

And it wasn’t just because she was nervous – no, of course not. Evangelia didn't get nervous. It wasn’t like her mind was about to be probed by some judgy old hat whose only purpose was to categorize her in front of hundreds of other kids. No, because that would be preposterous. Seriously, if her relatively sane cousins had not sworn upon their brooms that this was how the Sorting Ceremony worked at Hogwarts, she would have never believed it. Now, Angelia was no stranger to magic, but as neither of her parents had attended Hogwarts, she didn’t have much reference for how things worked around here. And needless to say, Angelia was a bit skeptical. How trustworthy was a hat?

Nevermind that. Angelia couldn’t help but fret over the fact that a considerable portion of her thoughts were currently preoccupied by the sound of whooshing waterfalls and bitter regrets over having not peed during the ride to Hogwarts. She thought that perhaps she would have to plead for the hat to ignore those embarrassing thoughts, but started to reconsider as she continued to watch various children be sorted within seconds (some, milliseconds!) of having the hat placed upon their head.

Well the hat can’t be thinking very hard then, can it?

Angelia’s skepticism grew. At the very least, one would think that they would all be offered a sort of trial period, because what if a student didn’t like the house that they were placed in? But apparently this was a no-take-backs kind of deal, and they would have to live with the hat’s seemingly careless decision making for the next seven years. Angelia didn’t like the sound of that one bit, which is why she had decided that she would never let the sorting nonsense affect her mentality. She could make friends in whatever house she wanted to, thank you very much.

“Seong, Evangelia!”

When her name was called, she snapped out her thoughts and scurried up to the stool. Finally! The hat was placed upon her head and Angelia clenched her eyes shut, feeling a not so sudden moment of anxiety. She decided to try and be nice.
Hello great Mr. Hat, please be nice to me and ignore the waterfalls and any other less than pleasant thoughts. Thank you.

"I promise I've seen all I need to see in your head to put you in the perfect house for you - I could drag it on for you, but you seem to need a lavatory and I want to let you go find that. You're a SLYTHERIN!"

Millie twisted a strand of hair around her fingers. She was finally here at Hogwarts, and it was everything she had expected it to be. The whole place just screamed adventure. Everything was so majestic - from the scenery that surrounded it to the tall towers up above.

To be perfectly honest, she couldn’t wait for the sorting to be over. Even though it was a pretty big thing, and everyone she knew who had been here had told her how exciting yet nerve wracking it was, she honestly didn’t mind where she ended up. After all, what was the worst that could happen? At the end of the day, whatever happened was set in stone, so there was no point in stressing over it. What she really wanted to do was go exploring around the castle and maybe meet some new people. Make some friends, maybe. And then spend the rest of the year doing whatever it took for her to achieve her goals while having as much fun as possible.

“Louane, Millie.”

Smiling, Millie jumped up and walked cheerfully up the steps before sitting down and letting the hat be perched on her head.

"That's quite right - nothing to be nervous about at all, you can't control it and there are four excellent houses to be placed in. There's a spark of something wise in you that really should be allowed to flourish. RAVENCLAW!"

This was it. The moment Aubrey had been waiting for. She had been anxious about this from the moment she received her letter. What if she didn't get into Gryffindor? Her brothers would be ashamed. She had to get in! She had to! She held her head high as she entered the hall, not letting her nerves show. She was strong, she was brave, and no one could tell she was shaking in her boots. Nope, no way. She straightened her shoulders, walking to the stool with pride when her name was called. She sat, letting the hat slide over her eyes. Place me where I belong please, sir hat. I am a Gryffindor. She thought with conviction.

"You'd make such a good Slytherin, though! ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT - go ahead, GRYFFINDOR!"

Morgan walked into the Great Hall with nervousness. She was nervous and scared about this year. She looked around the room with adoration, the room was stunning. Even though she was familiar with magic, she felt that magic was still new to her. She didn't know what to expect while coming into Hogwarts. But she was defiantly shocked to find out that a hat was what was going to sort the students into houses. Morgan stood close to her siblings, her social shell closing slight more. She listens carefully to what the professor is saying, she didn't want to break any of the rules. When they began to call the students names, Morgan became more and more nervous, as each name came closer and closer to her name. Her brother went up first, and she watched him nervously as he was being sorted into his house. Morgan then realized it was her turn next.

"Morgan Harvelle"

Morgan took a deep breath and wipes her sweaty hands onto her robes before making her way to the stool and felt the slight weight of the hat on her head, she began to become nervous again.

"No need to be nervous - I've never taken a head off with me yet! HUFFLEPUFF!"

There was an angry rumble from Penny's stomach in a loud complaint from not having had anything to eat for roughly three hours, but she sternly told her hunger that it would have to wait, because Sorting had to take place first. Penny had been looking forward to Sorting for the longest time. She knew that once she was sorted, she could begin her Hogwarts journey and that was exciting, she couldn't wait to explore and learn spells at long last. She ached to finally use her wand for magic.

The first years lined up in front of the Sorting Hat and they waited with varying degrees of patience while the Sorting Hat sang and names were called and Houses were announced. Penny watched the first five, then felt her eyes glazing over with boredom, and was just about to fall into another bout of daydreaming, when:

"Wills, Penny"

A tiny smile crossed Penny's face as she made her way up to the stool, sat down, and felt the Hat being placed on her head. She trusted the hat to make the right choice for her, it looked to know what it was doing.

"SLYTHERIN!"

Neale sighned. There was no denying that she was nervous, she was really nervous at that. Don't get her wrong, she was happy to be Hogwarts. She has heard many great things about it after all, but that didn't change the fact that she was nervous. Originaly, she wanted to make friends while she was waiting for her name to be called, but now that thought had disappeared. She just stood there, with the rest of the new years, and fiddled with her fingers. Suddenly, her name was called:

"Neale Erwin"

She jumped a bit at her name being called, but she still managed to get through the crowd to go to the sorting hat. She walked up to the chair and sat down. The chair was a bit more comfortable then it seemed from the side. Then she felt something being put on her head. The sorting hat. She held her breath in. She hoped that she would have a house that would fit her personality and where she could feel safe, but she knew that the Sorting hat would choose a house perfect for her, so she sat there, waiting to hear the house she'll be in.

"I'm glad you trust me to choose the right house for you. You'll find great comfort in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Nicola was ready for Hogwarts, she was going to make it here one way or the other. She was eager to learn more about magic and on the other end she wanted to be there for her siblings. Speaking of siblings her sister and brother seemed to be nervous for this moment. Nicola didn't feel anything really, she was just eager to know her house. She was walking close to her siblings in a protective stance. Nicola was afraid people wouldn't accept them and thus she had learned to fight back. It wasn't like she was going to punch her way out of freedom, no Nicola had other ways to get her opinion across she was smarter than fighting with strength she definitely lacked.

When they walked into the great hall Nicola didn't know where to look anymore. There were so many people and Nicola felt small. She knew the procedure and Nicola wondered how a muggleborn would feel at this moment. Nicola had already too much on her mind and the thought soon slipped away. When the first student walked towards the hat Nicola wondered what the hat actually found when he was on your head.

Did he see all the times she had protected her sister and brother or the times she was angry at them and had fought dirty. Maybe he saw her playing her trusty ukulele. Maybe the hat wasn't male at all, maybe the hat was female. So many questions were in Nicola her head now and soon it was her time to go to the chair. She was the last of her siblings to go to the chair. When she heard her sister and brother get sorted she clapped hard. She just hoped she could be placed with at least one of them, preferably her sister.

''Harvelle, Nicola''

That was her que to walk up to the chair. She walked confidently to the chair and was eager to find out her house. She didn't have a particular house in mind, she was going to make it work anyway. She felt the hat on her head and it felt good. Somehow she knew everything was going to be okay.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

I can't believe I received the letter , no one expected, not even my brothers:hug: who are already in their second year at Hogwarts Academy. I'm on the Hogwarts Express and as the clock is almost 11am we are getting ready to leave.
I've heard a lot of stories from my brothers and I can't wait to experience it all. I'm curious to see the ghosts, especially Sir Nicholas, I've heard he has good jokes=)). I cannot wait the first lessons of flight, potions, defense against black magic and all the others.
The train stopped and now all I can do is to hope that I am going to be sorted in the house I want.:pop:

"I can see you being well loved in HUFFLEPUFF!"

Stefan entered into the hall, looking at his surroundings in a bit of awe. He may have already heard stories from his sister but it was still different when you see it for yourself. Shrugging, he moved forward, following the group of students as they followed the path until they stopped in front of a stool with a worn hat. The Sorting Hat. It sang as always, Stefan sighed as he got bored already. He knew Lidiya was somewhere but he did not bother craning his neck. He just hoped this would be over quickly. He did not really liked being around many people, except for the company of one. He wondered if that person was also here. The names were called finally, the white haired bly shifted on his feet, inwardly urging the names to be called faster.

"Kozlov, Stefan."

He looked up to stare at the woman calling the names before psuhing himself foward to make his way up the small podium, his hands in his pockets. Taking the hat gingerly, he took a seat before placing it on his head. What could he be looking for? I already know I want to be in Slytheirn. Lidiya is there. My dad was a Slytherin too. It will make this an easy decision for you and me. Win win., he mused over, waiting for the decided house to be called out.

"Win win, is it? Unfortunately, Slytherins have certain admirable qualities I find to be particularly lacking in you. Perhaps the only place you'll fit well is the place where any will do... HUFFLEPUFF!"

Violette stayed near the back of the group as they filtered into the great hall, making sure she had a good vantage point of the great hall and everything happening there. She spotted Grace at the staff table, and after some searching of the crowd, saw a few of her cousins as well. Diana and Alice were the good cousins, the ones she should be close to according to her dad. He also told her in no uncertain terms to avoid the boys, Eric and Connor. She had to admit she was a little curious about them, but knew that word about her talking to them couldn't get back to her father. He would be livid. She also heard that they were not nice, which meant Violette shouldn't be around them regardless.

She focused her attention on the hat as it started to sing. She listened quietly, though she had been told about the different houses already by her sister. Violette had no idea what would suit her. If she was honest, none of it really sounded like her. A part of her wished she was at Beauxbatons like Grace had been, there she wouldn't have had to deal with being judged by her personality like this. But she could admit Hogwarts looked very wonderful, and it did feel like an adventure to be on the other side of the world. She had tried to tell herself that, that she was at least traveling and seeing more of the world... but Violette couldn't ignore that it wasn't by her own choice. Her father had decided to send her off, so here she was. She was burdening her sister by staying with her and her boyfriend before coming here, and now she would be watched by her as well. She knew Grace and her dad didn't always get along, but she could only imagine their father would ask Grace for updates on her education often enough. The feeling made her feel more trapped than she already had. Everyone here knew her last name, would that mean they would expect certain things of her? She knew Alice was a prefect... but she couldn't imagine even talking to half the students here. Violette felt faintly dizzy and almost missed it when her name was called. Did she imagine it, or did people look up at the sound of her last name? Were they wondering if she was related to the Minister? Sharply and suddenly, Violette resented her father for forcing her to come here. But there was nothing to be done, and the easiest way to get out of the spotlight was to go through and get sorted quickly so the next person had to step forward. Violette sat down on the stool quietly, her hands in her lap. She waited for the hat to call out the house would have to be in for the rest of her time here.

"It might not be Beauxbatons, but at least there's blue in RAVENCLAW!"

Eleanor Kingsley looked around the great hall with wide eyes. The train ride had been so thrilling being in this room was even more exciting. She had been hearing about this place her entire life, but she'd never been inside here before. She stepped forward with the group of first years, catching the glance of her mother sitting at the head table. She looked proud, and possibly like she had tears in her eyes, but really, it was too far for her to be certain. Eleanor smiled brightly at her. She glanced around to see if she could spot Jake or Jemma, but she didn't see them through the people. Eleanor didn't really think Jacob seemed excited to have her at Hogwarts finally. He'd probably just avoid her like always. Eleanor bounced up and down slightly, finding it difficult to remain patient as student after student was called. After what felt like a hundred years, she heard "Kingsley, Eleanor." The brunette moved forward anxiously as she heard whispers around her which she completely ignored. She was used to her family name turning heads. Eleanor grinned as she sat down on the stool waiting for the hat to tell her where she was meant to be.

"A Kingsley! Yes, I suppose you would be used to that family name turning heads around here - but it seems like you need some help imagining where it, paired with some innate talents, might take you - I think you'll quite like what you find in SLYTHERIN!"

Alena had heard a lot about Hogwarts from her brother and for a time it looked like she wouldn't be attending the school but rather the local school back in Russia. Once she arrived at the school and took in her new surroundings she was very happy with the decision that had been made. She didn't know what Koldovstoretz looked liked but there was no way it was as pretty as the Hogwarts castle. Alena waited with her fellow first years, some of which were nervous about their sorting and others less so, she fell into the later category. Alena didn't really care where she went, her brother was the only member of their family to attend that particular school so there was no family house legacy to uphold, though her mother had attended the sister school in Scotland and had been a Ravenclaw, from what Alena knew about the house traits, she doubted it would suit her.

It was a tedious wait for the students ahead of her to be sorted, kids going off to the different houses, some of them definitely looked more excited than others depending on where they ended up, she was glad she wasn't holding to any kind of hope, she wouldn't want to start her school experience with a feeling of disappointment. Finally she heard her name called, "Romanova, Alena," Alena pushed passed remaining students to take her place on the stool and await her fate.

"You might not be a Ravenclaw, but I'm sure your mother will be equally delighted that you're a GRYFFINDOR!"

Raised by muggles, Phinn had no idea whatsoever of the wizarding world. But that background did not let him feel out of place. In fact, he felt home. He was so mesmerized of the new world he was seeing that he only heard his name on the third call. "Aureli, Phinn Kieke Lukas!"

The profesor sounded irritated calling his name for the third time. Coming back to his senses, he looked at the professor straight to her eyes. He sent a half smile as if telling her, "I heard you professor, no need to hurry." The professor's irritation gave him a weird feeling of satisfaction.

He never felt a bit of nervousness. He was so calm as he approached the stool. While he was walking his way towards the sorting chair and mindful of the new faces around him, he thought that someday in the future these people staring at him would know his name and be better prepared for it. And he knew, in that moment, that his new world had just begun to change in a manner that was favorable for him and for the wizarding world.

"How fortuitous for us to have another eleven year old grace us with his unrivalled ignorance! Your mere presence beneath me, child, honours me in ways that you cannot yet comprehend. I think I'll just let us both sit here for a while... appreciating this moment... don't worry, I'm sure none of your peers are judging how very uncomfortable you look - how ill-fitting I really am on you, I'm sure they're just awe-struck at the fact that they're here... breathing the same air as you. I hope you feel many more strange satisfactions as you make your home in RAVENCLAW!"
