Felix was very excited for todays match between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Both his best friends were playing against one another, and both had important roles on their teams too. Regardless of who won, Felix was excited to watch from the stands and took a front row seat, cheering when he saw them down on the pitch lining up. He'd roped in Lilith's little brother too, pulling him along from the common room to watch his sisters play, and hoped that the first year would enjoy the atmosphere as much as he did.

With Susie and Lilith playing in today's match it was going to be tense one to watch. Eoghan made his way through the crowd, standing nearby Leo and Felix who no doubt were there to cheer them on too. Eoghan had sported his Ravenclaw gear for the occasion, because as much as he believed in Susie's ability to fly, he still wanted to see his own house do well, and not just because the game would end when his girlfriend caught the snitch. He had a small notebook with him too that he set in his lap, just in case he needed to make any notes for the school paper.

Wendall hadn't seen Susie fly since their friends and family camping trip a couple of years ago, but if she was as good with a bat as she'd been back then, Ravenclaw didn't stand a chance. Wendall had never been on the Quidditch team himself, but as a former Hufflepuff he was fully rooting for their win. He clapped hard when the Captain came onto the pitch, hoping that she wouldn't be the target of the Ravenclaw beaters too often.

Leo had been waiting for this first game of Quidditch for what felt like forever. Both his sisters were playing and even if he hadn't made his house's team it didn't mean the first year wasn't going to show up for his sisters and support them. When Felix had come over to rope him in it wasn't like it'd taken all that much, if he was being honest, Leo felt pretty important that Felix was wanting to watch the game with him out of all people. "Lille looks nervous, is that normal? Is she always nervous before game?" Leo asked the two older boy's near him. They'd seen his sister play before and while Leo had heard a lot about it he wasn't sure if she'd mentioned about looking like she was going to throw up before. @Felix Layton @Eoghan Blyth

Syrah was well aware that her daughter might not make it to the pitch today as she was an alternate, but nevertheless the woman had wanted to show up for support. Whether Rosé played or not didn't matter, Syrah was proud of he young Ravenclaw either way. Having found her old Ravenclaw scarf the professor had decided to wrap it around her neck over her robes as she made it up to the stands. Spotting a familiar face from the start of year feast she approached the other professor. "Mind if I join you?" She asked with a friendly smile, with no idea where the rest of her children were off to currently she wouldn't mind staying by a familiar face for the game. @Professor Wendall Layton

Wendall turned to smile at Syrah as she joined him, scootching up further on the bench to allow her more room. "Not at all, and you're right on time," he said, peering back out to the pitch. "They haven't started yet, I think they're warming up," the Herbology professor was nervous for Susie, as though he were playing down there instead of the prefect. "Did you ever play Quidditch at school?" he asked Syrah. He assumed the girl he'd waved at during the start of year feast was the reason the woman was now here sporting the blue scarf, even Wendall could put two and two together. @Professor Syrah Glass

Fifi peered at Lili a little closer, it was true she did look nervous. "Mmm yeah that's normal," Lilith looked like that quite a lot, before exams, before Quidditch, sometimes even before an event. He glanced across to Eoghan who was giving him a death glare, so the prefect quickly clarified. "I mean, it's normal for anyone to be nervous before a big game. There's so many people watching and you don't want to let them down, especially if you're playing Seeker." He knew that one from experience. Sure all the roles were important, but the Seeker was the one that ended the game. There was a lot riding on their shoulders.

Eoghan knew Lilith had asked Felix to take Leo somewhat under his wing, but the Ravenclaw still doubted whether or not that had been a good idea. He was glaring at Felix as he told Lilith's brother that her sister looking not just nervous but downright uncomfortable was normal, as though Lilith didn't also have an air of confidence about her most of the time. She was one of the most cheerful and upbeat people Eoghan had ever known, and he didn't want Leo thinking she was just a nervous wreck. "Quidditch can be dangerous," the prefect added, looking back out to the teams on the pitch. "Even Felix looks like that before a match," he gave half a smile to the younger boy.

Syrah smiled warmly as she sat down next to Wendall and then gave a nod. "Perfect, I would have hated to miss any second of it. I quite missed the atmosphere of school events." She offered honestly before directing her eyes to the pitch in search of her daughter. "Merlin no, I figured early on I wasn't made for the brutality of the game." The professor admitted with a soft laugh, she'd thought about it but it wasn't for her in the end. "Did you?" Syrah returned the question.

Leo's brows furrowed at Felix's words. His sister was always nervous like this? It was normal? He should fix it. Then Felix seemed to try and make up for what he'd just said and Eoghan even further control any damage caused to his sisters image. Putting his hands around his mouth to amplify his voice as he went to shout. "GO LILITH! GO LEENA!" He would be the loudest person in the crowd and then when the game was over he'd be the first to reach his sisters. "Really?" He whispered glancing to Eoghan then at Felix. "You play seeker too, right? If I ever make beater in this life time I get to smack bludgers at you." He stated with a grin.

Freddie squeezed past legs and bags, looking for a comfortable place behind the benches to stand. He probably didn't look comfortable, leaning against the wood railing, but he would much rather have achy feet than a burning leg. Could he see Rose from here? What about Susie? The order that the names popped into his head made him cringe a bit. He was totally here for Susie. He totally came all the way up here for his big sister, and not because he had a stupid crush on a pretty girl who wasn't even playing.

Luke had been one of the first up on the stands, to watch how the professionals did it before his own big game against Gryffindor soon. He was right at the front, barely tall enough to see over the rail of the stands to the pitch, let alone where they were currently standing, getting set up. From one side he heard a kid shouting about Lilith and Leena, so Luke took a big breath. "GO ON SUSIE. HIT THEM!"

"Really Eoghan?" Felix scowled at the boy for talking to Leo in Finnish, perfectly aware that the Gryffindor had no idea what they were saying. It was like they enjoyed leaving him out on purpose, not that he blamed Leo. "Yeah I play Seeker," he confirmed, although narrowed his eyes at the pure enthusiasm Leo had at one day hitting him out of the sky too. "You'll have to catch me first," he said, nudging him in this ribs with his elbow. Felix glanced up as another kid further along shouted for Susie, and spotted her little brother too, another that Felix may soon have the joy of feeling the wrath of.

Poor Eoghan jumped straight out of his skin when Leo suddenly yelled down to the pitch. "Don't yell too much, you'll distract them if you use their names," he warned, paying no mind to the way Felix seemed to disapprove. He didn't want any of them looking up or at the stands, especially once the match had started. That was usually how they came to have a bad run in with a bludger. Apparently his efforts were wasted, however.

Wendall suddenly burst out laughing at the prospect of him playing for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team that he was close to sending a stream of snot into his lap with the force of it. "No, Merlin no, not me." He was just proud of himself making it to the stands in one piece. "I played Quidditch with the family once," he included the Lagowski's in that sentence, of course. "I played Beater, but I wasn't very good. Dropped my bat and since we were playing in the dark, I didn't realise until later that I'd picked up a stick instead when retrieving it." It had still been a lot of fun, though. "My cousins played, though. Olive and Leda both played as Seekers, Leda went on to be the Captain, too."

Leo was suddenly aware of the way Felix scowled at his sisters boyfriend and then that Eoghan again used Finnish when he'd been speaking English to Felix. Narrowing his eyes he glanced at the two. "You best not scowl at each other around my sister." Was all he said, if they did it would just make her sad and that wasn't something the first year would be okay with. "Nah Lille and Leen are good at focusing, they won't let me distract them." Leo added proudly, his sisters were good at the game he knew it.

Auden bounced on his toes. What was taking so long? When was the game going to start? He shielded his ear from the sudden blast to his right, grinning. Luke was a silly billy. "That's your sister, isn't it? Susie?" he said, craning to look over the railing. They were very high up. "If I fell off, how long do you think it would take 'til I went splat?"

Syrah was glad she was with other people who knew their limits and that was not taking part in Quidditch teams. She smiled as the other professor laughed and then explained about a family game. "Oh that must have been fun. My kids used to love playing it on the ground, sometimes I did join them, it was good times." As the Divination professor spoke there was a nostalgic smile on her face. Kids were shouting around and Syrah took a look around, spotting a very familiar kid close by. "Oh, Freddie! Come sit with us!" She called over to the Ravenclaw, motioning to the space next to her that was still free. "Captain? That's impressive. I had some friends that played but nothing more than that." She said looking back to Wendall.

"Yeah it is," Luke turned his head to grin at Auden, glad that his friend recognised her. Suddenly the Slytherin was peering over the edge, straight down to the ground. "Mmm, probably like, eight hundred years," he grinned. The professors would never let the students fall out of the stands, and sometimes Luke wondered whether Auden forgot he was a wizard. As he heard someone calling for Freddie, Luke turned to squint over his shoulder. He hadn't even realised his brother was here too, but he was glad. Maybe if Freddie came to watch Susie's game, that meant his brother would come to watch Luke play, too.

"That's a bit too long," said Auden. "Seven-hundred years, maybe. So what we're saying is, you'd die of old age on the way down. Well, actually, you'd probably die of thirst after two days." He frowned. "I wonder what they'd write on your tomb."

Luke chuckled at his friend, "I'd never die of thirst, I'd just eat the rain," he told him, smartly. If it was a long descent, he'd lie on his back and just drink from the skies like a faucet. "I'd probably die of BOREDOM," he announced, given that there would be so few games to watch while falling that he'd probably pass away waiting for the next one.

Oh, no. It was Rose's mom. Freddie shuffled reluctantly closer, his back never breaking contact with the railing. He wasn't gonna sit down. She couldn't make him, and she couldn't tell him off - he wasn't in class. Urgh. He'd been hoping Rose might look up and see him, but now he begged Merlin she wouldn't. Maybe he could shuffle away again, when her mom wouldn't notice.

Rouge had been lingering by herself in the stands, waiting for the game to beginning between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, only to find out that Rose wasn't playing, at least not to begin with. The third year hadn't minded too much though, because she'd spotted Freddie a little way away, and she would have been content to watch him instead. It wasn't long before Mama invited him to sit with her however, and from Rouge's position a few benches behind Mama and the crowd she was gathering, the Gryffindor was even more excited to get a better view of the Ravenclaw.

Wendall nodded to Syrah, reminded of the version of floor Quidditch the younger children had played too. As the woman invited Freddie over to sit with them, Wendall was reminded of the way Monty had encouraged him to keep score that day too. "Hey Freddie," he gave the Ravenclaw a smile. "Are you going to keep count for us there? We might not be able to see everything from here," Freddie would have a better view after all from the railings.
