Slytherin Quidditch Practice One

Sapphire wasn't quite fast enough to get to the bludger, but thankfully it missed Leda as she over away from it. She came up to the other girl, watching to see if it would return. "We good, cap?" She asked, keeping a grip on her bat.

Blake kept searching for the snitch, soaring close to the stands to see if there was anything around there. He was starting to wonder if the stupid thing had just flown away entirely.

Leda was aware Sapphire was chasing after the bludger, but it was faster than she was. The sixth year had to drop a few feet in the air suddenly for the ball to sail over her head, before turning to Sapp. “Yeah. We’re good.” She was just glad the beater was aware of it.

Blake only grew more frustrated as he flew over the stands, seeing no sign of the snitch. For a moment he thought he saw something golden and shot towards it, but it was light glinting off the metal of the seating. Groaning in frustration, he turned around and continued searching.

Things were just not going well today, Sapphire had to admit that, but at least Leda was still (mostly) unharmed and there weren't any bludgers rushing in their direction. She gave Leda a smile. "I think I'll stick nearby for a minute, see if the bugger tries to make a comeback." She kept an eye out for the ball as she spoke, just in case.

Sara had been flying close to Luna just in case she needed some backup and was almost in reach for the quaffle when Jasper got to it first. She rolled her eyes but tailed after him, wanting a turn again. Hopefully he would actually score this time.

Leda got excited when she thought she heard the snitch, but as she turned her head she couldn’t see anything there. Frustrated and annoyed she kept close to Sapphire as she tried to find where it went.

Still grumbling about his false alarm, Blake continued to circle the pitch, looking around for the snitch as he went.

Leda circled back on the pitch, still trying to find the snitch. It had to be here somewhere, she just needed to get it to first.

Jasper attempted to score again as he neared the hoops, and he cursed out loud when he failed again. Face flushed with anger, Jasper flew away for a bit to cool off.

Leda saw that Jasper tried to score again, but she knew just as well that it wasn’t always as simple as that. “Just keep going,” she called out in a bit to support him. She knew it was hard to not get frustrated but she had to show she was looking out for them.

Blake gave up on the sky and started circling the hoops, wondering if the snitch was hiding behind a goalpost. He worked his way down slowly on one end of the pitch, frustrated when he didn't see any sign of the snitch.

Wow damn it's not letting her hit a thing today, lol.

Sapphire kept close to Leda. She still didn't trust that bludger to stay away. She noticed Jasper didn't score. Today was a win for the balls, that was for sure. Not like it was enough to stop her.

Blake kept flying down one set of goalposts, teeth gritted as his search continued to be in vain. Where had all his success gone?!

Well, if there was one thing that could be said for the Slytherin team, it was that they didn't give up. This practice was a mess. Neither of the seekers were really catching anything and the beaters had a hit each. She was pretty sure the chasers had only scored a few times as well. She hoped their games didn't go like this or they'd be back at the bottom. And that was hardly the performance Sapphire intended to give to Leda.

When Jasper failed to score again, she sighed, but tried not to let it bring her down as she scooped up the quaffle once again, speeding towards the hoops. If the chasers were following close by Sara had half a mind to pass the quaffle to them. Maybe changing strategies would help with their success more.

After having no luck on one end of the pitch, Blake began to circle round, annoyed when he saw nothing on his way to the other side. Once he reached the other goalposts he began to circle the posts on the way up, looking for any sign of the snitch on this end.

Leda wasn’t the only one who wasn’t having much luck. Maybe her dream was right as her first match as a captain would have been an absolute shambles. If that was the case though hopefully this was it and not during the match with the other houses.

Sapphire moved away from Leda a bit, deciding she was safe for now. She spotted a bludger on the other side of the field and shot after it.

Reaching the goalposts, Blake began to work his way back upwards, searching all around for the snitch as he went. He was seething - how had he only caught it once this whole practice?!

At least Blake has managed to catch it once. Leda hadn’t managed to catch the snitch in practise for years. As Sapphire decided to go elsewhere she hoped she wasn’t about to be hit with a second bludger too.

The bludger zigged and zagged in front of her, but Sapphire stuck tight to its trail. She wouldn't back down.

This was getting so infuriating. How was she meant to prove she was a good captain if she couldn’t even do the one thing she was meant to be good at for the team. She continued to fly around, willing it to show itself.

Searching his way up to the hoops, Blake was frustrated when once again he didn't find anything. Gripping his broom angrily, Blake pulled away and returned to circling the pitch, wondering if the snitch had just flown away.

Leda was becoming even more furious, gripping her broom tightly as she steered around her teammates, pleaded the ball to show itself soon so that she wouldn't show herself up even more.
