Slytherin Quidditch Practice One

Wow, the team wasn't having any luck today. She missed her swing then watched jasper miss a throw. She cussed silently. They would need to train harder and get better before the game.

After seeing both Sara and Jasper miss their shots, Jai swooped in and caught the quaffle to get back in play. He sped around the pitch dodgimg the bludgers as they whizzed past. He could only hope he would get the shot but with the way things were going it seemed like practice was needed.

Blake couldn't quite help his grin as Liam noticed how well he was doing, slowing down to listen to the captain. Something felt special about the older boy taking notice of him, and Blake wanted to do well to make Liam happy. He didn't really care about making Leda more competitive... a bitter voice in the back of Blake's head said if Liam had wanted that, he should have made Blake the seeker. He didn't say that out loud though, instead giving Liam a confident grin. "I'll catch it a dozen more times!" Heart racing with adrenaline now, Blake flattened himself to his broom and resumed the search.

Although it seemed like everyone on the team needed practice and more practice, the girl sent her fellow chasers a thumbs up, even after Jasper missed again. She felt bad for him, but it did take some practice. It wasn’t going to happen one hundred percent all the time. She followed close to Jai who was now in possession of the quaffle, hoping the best for him and that he would do better than her or Jasper’s last shots.

Today was just not the day for bludgers to behave. As the blusher yet again dodged her swing, Sapphire let out a frustrated groan. Stupid balls. She flattened to her broom, determined to smack the blusher she had been chasing for the past few minutes.

Nearing the hoops, Jai tried to aim for the right hoop before he threw the quaffle. The boy could only groan as the ball sailed over the right hoop instead of through it, he'd definitely have to work on his aim and throw better. Practice was very much needed indeed, he thought as he waited for the quaffle to be put back in play.

Encouraged by Liam's support, Blake kept searching for the snitch with renewed vigour, eager to catch it again and show everyone what he was made of. He circled the pitch, flying high again to see if he could find any flutters of gold in the sky.

Once Jai missed Luna (who was here the whole time) swooped for the quaffle and began making her way to the hoops at the other end of the pitch.

Sapphire slowed down again, popping some gum in her mouth to help her concentrate. She'd be irritated if she missed again. She took off after the bludger once more, renewed vigor spreading with the taste of peppermint.

Blake flew on, gripping his broom firmly as he searched the air above the stands for the snitch. He was frustrated not to find anything, but knew he had to keep looking, eyes scanning the sky for any sign of gold.

After failing to successfully score, Jai watched as Luna caught the quaffle and headed towards the hoops. The boy adjusted his flight and shot after the girl to give her assistance should she need it.

Leda looked around at her Chasers, (including Luna) to see that they were all taking it in turns to try scoring. It didn’t go unnoticed when Sapphire stopped in the air to gaze around a bit but before Leda could say anything she was back in the game. Not trusting whatever Liam was saying to Blake, the prefect hunted off for the snitch once more.

Blake kept on flying, his focus on nothing but catching the snitch again. He had to impress Liam, show the whole team what they were missing by keeping him on the benches. Blake pulled the nose of his broom down again, flying low as he searched for the snitch.

Sara hadn’t even noticed that Luna was there all along, the girl had been rather quiet. She followed close behind her and the other chasers when she took possession of the quaffle, just in case she wanted to feel like making a few passes. They should probably practice those amongst themselves, too.

Leda just needed to catch it at least once to show Blake that she was the better seeker. He’s enthusiasm was great but she was most definitely letting the side down when she couldn’t ever seem to get it. She concentrated on her flying, hoping it would show itself soon.

Liam had been hitting two bludgers now and he was kind of pleased with his own performance. He seemed to be doing it better than Sapphire so far. But actually he wanted the team to do better. Liam flew around the pitch and looked to the team for a moment observing them. He didn't saw bludgers nearby, so hoped Sapphire would hit something soon. '' Come on everyone! You can do it! '' He said trying to give them support.

Leda felt like everyone in the team was doing well except her. She watched as Liam helped to support the others, glad for the first time she wasn’t leading them by herself as she didn’t want to take her eyes off the snitch.

Blake circled low near the grass, keeping a lookout for any signs that the snitch was near. He was starting to get frustrated again, despite Liam's encouragement. He had had so much more success last year, why had he only managed to find it once so far this practice?

Leda was lapping the pitch as she tried to find the tiny golden ball. Surely it would show itself eventually? Trying not to get annoyed and remembering it was only a practise, the sixth year just had to keep her eyes open.

Today's practice wasn't going well, but that wasn't enough to stop Sapphire. When the bludger jumped up out of her reach yet again, she adjusted her broom, flying straight up after it. She wasn't going to let it get away again. Grip tight on the broom, she worked to close in on the squirrely ball.

Leda looked over her shoulder as she heard the familiar sound of a bludger headed her way, and sped up to try and get out of its path. The last thing she needed was to be hit a second time, and she hoped Sapphire would be able to knock it away too.

Luna looked over her shoulder as Jai started to fly alongside her, she was getting close to the hoops, once she was close enough she took a shot at the hoops and the quaffle sailed through.

Sapphire had just pulled her arm back to swing when she saw the other bludger nearing in on Leda. Abandoning her pursuit, she turned and rushed towards the redhead. With any luck she'd get there before the bludger did.

Blake grumbled slightly under his breath as he flew on, pulling his broom up again. He was clearly having no success down here, maybe the snitch was up higher after all. He was getting more and more frustrated with the lack of success.

Jasper was very annoyed when Luna managed to score. He scowled, then flew up to grab the Quaffle. He tucked it under his arm and flew off to do a lap with it. He wanted to score now, he couldn't let Luna get the best of him.
