Raafe prides himself on speaking very honestly and straight forward about what he likes, dislikes, or thinks, often whether it’s asked for or not. At the same time, he can be incredibly hard to read emotionally, appearing very stoic or closed off in the way he expresses himself which can lead to many people misinterpreting his honestly for sarcasm or insincerity. Combined with a glib sense of humour, many find Raafe frustrating or hard to read, something he personally has no real qualms with.
While quick to insinuate himself in other people’s business if it catches his attention, Raafe doesn't find himself desperate for social attention, content with the close relationship he has with his cousin, Anisha, and not much else. The only child of a whirlwind romance between a muggle and a wizard, Raafe's parents met when Pallavi's brother married Samesh's aunt, following with their own wedding and family shortly after. As such, Raafe grew up very close to his cousin, Anisha, as she was the only other magical child his family knew.
While not as close to the rest of Khatri family, Raafe is fiercely loyal to Anisha, practically having grown up with her, and prizes his family very highly. He is less close with Indira, as she had always kept her distance from Anisha and by extension, Raafe, but he still keeps himself involved and informed in her life as much as he can. Little happens amongst the Khatri family that the others don't know about after all.
