It was time for Eleanor's first Gay pride event that she organised herself and the Queen of Flowers made sure to put the most effort in this occasion. She arrived at the Great Hall early and placed loose flowers on all of the tables and sprinkled them with glitter to make them stand out. A face painting area was set up for anyone who wished to paint their face and Ellie made herself in charge of the stand where the pamphlets were, the usual basket of flower crowns sitting proudly beside it. Additionally, colourful vines hung loosely on the walls and flags with the different sexualities were displayed proudly around the room. She didn't expect anyone to be too amazed by everything that was happening, as Orwell had definitely organised something like it before, and was more excited for her sister whom she was inspired by. It made Ellie feel great that her sister was able to come out and she was looking forward to seeing her reaction to all of the effort that she had put into everything.

After Ellie had placed down the spare roses from Valentine's Day on one of the tables, she began waiting for people to start arriving and read over one of the pamphlets again. She was glad she made them as it told those who were scared to come out that it was okay to not be heterosexual. Through this she hoped that more people would be able to tell everyone how they really felt without any sort of embarrassment. It annoyed Eleanor that her sister kept it to herself for so long and giving everyone the confidence that they needed to be themselves was vital in ensuring that no one felt left out. As people started arriving, the Queen of flowers beamed, hoping the event was going to be a success.

OOCOut of Character:
This is another Wild Patch Club Event! Feel free to RP your character going around and doing any of the activities or being apart of any of the stalls.

Rose loved being part of Wild Patch, and she had missed the pride event last year. So when Eleanor, their queen of flowers, had announced they would do it once again, Rose was excited. Her younger sister Phoebe had told her she liked girls over the winter break, and though Rose had been surprised, it didn't feel odd to her. She wanted to celebrate people like her sister, though, as she wanted Phoebe and people like her to feel welcome and comfortable at the school.

Eager to help out, and eager to smear paint on people, Rose had volunteered to help at the face paint area. Though before going there to help out, she grinned at Eleanor. "It's awesome that we're doing this. I invited my sister, I think she'll come." She told the older Hufflepuff eagerly.

Phoebe had known she didn't like boys for a while now, ever since her first crush on one of her primary school teachers. It had been a silly thing, but enough to tell her what she needed to know. Now, a few years later, she had told her sister. It wasn't like she was embarrassed or unsure, but she just didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Rose was pretty chill about it for the most part, and Phoebe had appreciated her invite to this pride thing. It would be nice to find some more people around her age that were like her in this regard, even if she wasn't sure how many there were. She was a little early, it seemed, and she waved at Rose a little awkwardly, though she didn't go over. Instead she looked around, feeling slightly awkward but also excited.

Ainsley had almost been too excited for the pride celebration to sleep properly the previous night. Her first one had been so formative and eye opening, and she had really felt its absence last year, when she was finally confident enough to know who she was and what she felt. This year felt new and fresh yet again, her friendship with Amber was finally repaired, and though their kiss had been an accident, Ainsley definitely felt like she had a fresh perspective on herself and her feelings after her talks with Hayley. It felt good. Ainsley had gone as far as to dress in pansexual pride colours - pink, yellow, and blue - and felt strangely exhilarated. She knew who she was, and she had spoken with Amber and Hayley about it, but Ainsley had never been this daring or open before. Smiling nervously, she gave Eleanor a small wave as she entered the great hall, both relieved and disappointed that there weren't many people there yet. Ainsley couldn't help wondering if she would see anyone she knew, as she picked up a bright pink flower crown, trying to find a way to make it sit nicely on her tangled hair.

Hayley had come along to the pride event mostly out of curiosity. She was dimly aware that she had friends her age who were starting to like boys, even to date them. It was slowly beginning to dawn on her that perhaps her disinterest in them was not so ubiquitous as she had initially assumed. Perhaps she could learn something here that would help her sort out her feelings. But more importantly, Rose had told her that she'd be helping at the face painting stall, and any opportunity to see friends was one that should be grasped immediately. Before she reached Rose, Hayley caught sight of Ainsley struggling with a flower crown. Maybe this would be an opportunity to introduce two friends; the girl gang had been curious about Ainsley earlier in the year, and Hayley thought that out of all of them, Ainsley would get on best with Rose. "Hey," she said as she approached, "how's it going? Do you want a hand with that?" Hayley would have reached up to help immediately, but her friend was too tall to reach the top of her head.

Lilyanna did not know if she wanted to go to Eleanor's event. Her sister was always over the top with everything whilst Lilyanna preferred to be a bit more discreet and didn't want to come out to everyone at once. However, Lilyanna was relieved that Eleanor didn't think any poorly of her for who she was and her idea of the event had made Lilyanna smile. The prefect hesitated before she finally decided to make her way out of the dormitory and into the Great Hall where Eleanor told her to come. She could feel herself getting nervous, especially when she saw all of the other people that were already there. Fiddling with her fingers, Lilyanna looked around the room at all of the decorations and an aroma of flowers surrounded her, reminding her that Eleanor was also supporting The Wild Patch. Lilyanna soon found Eleanor near where the pamphlets were talking to another member of her club and the Slytherin tentatively walked towards them, not really knowing what to take of everything around her. Without saying a word, Lilyanna nervously stood next to her sister, hoping she wasn't disturbing a conversation they were having.

It wasn't long before everyone started arriving and she beamed as she spotted Rose who was first to make conversation. It made Eleanor glad that people were inviting others and the growing amount of people coming to the event each year meant a bigger support group for everyone. "Yes, it's great!" she exclaimed. "Who's your sister? Maybe she could join The Wild Patch?" Eleanor figured she could never have enough people in the club and wanted nothing more than for more people to join in. The prefect smiled as she watched her sister creep up towards them, happy that she decided she would come. "This is my sister, Lilyanna!" She beamed, not wanting her sister to feel left out. "She's one of the main reasons why I'm doing this." Eleanor gave Lily a reassuring smile, hoping that through coming to the event she would also be able to make friends.

Flavio was accepting of all different sexualities and had been from a very young age. So despite knowing he was at least attracted to girls (the attraction to other genders being a slight question on his mind as of late), Flavio arrived to the wild patch club's pride event, happy and willing to spread the word that everyone deserved to be accepted in their school. Pia had told Flavio she played an active role in previous pride events at the face painting stall which made him want to follow in her footsteps and paint other people's faces but he was unfortunately too late to sign up for that and ended up in a stall where flower crowns were being handed out. Though it was not his first choice, Flavio found it fitting as making flower crowns was more his forte than painting faces would ever be, the act of weaving flowers together being therapeutic for him and something he was good at. He stood at the stall, weaving himself a brand new flower crown with some roses left over from Valentine's day, and happy to be part of an event that was so positive for him and hopefully for others around the school.

Amber felt nervous about entering the Wild Patch pride celebration, as she didn't want anyone to think she was there for any reason but to support Ainsley. She could tell how important this was to her friend, and she had vowed to show her support more. So for this event, she had chosen her outfit carefully to fit the wild patch vibe. As she entered the Great Hall, she immediately searched for the red hair of her best friend. And she was delighted to spot it. She smiled fondly at the bright pink flowers on her head, as they should clash horribly but honestly looked quite nice. But before she could approach, she saw that Hayley was already there. Amber felt a stab of irritation at the younger girl. Was she now everywhere Ainsley was? Amber was here to support her, and now the Slytherin seemed more supportive as she got there first. Amber strode over and put on her brightest smiles. "Ainsley, hi!" She said happily. "You helped with this? It looks amazing. Here, let me help." She stood on tiptoes and even then only managed to slightly nudge the flowers on her friend's head. Still, it felt like a victory. Only then did she pretend to notice Hayley, though she made sure her smile didn't waver when she looked at the girl. "Oh hi Hayley, are you in wild patch too?"

Rose giggled and pointed out Phoebe. "There she is!" She said happily, waving at her sister. "Phoebe! Come here!" She said, waving her sister over. Phoebe moved closer, reluctantly it seemed, but Rose was glad. "Eleanor, this is my sister Phoebe." She turned to Phoebe. "This is Eleanor, and her twin Lilyanna." Rose waved at the Slytherin, grinning. It was remarkable how much she looked like Eleanor, though her expression was very different. "Nice to meet you Lilyanna! Your sister is pretty awesome to organize this right?" She glanced at the face paint stall. "Oh! Actually, I should go back there to paint people's faces. Phoebe, enjoy yourself okay?" She gave her sister a quick hug before hurriedly returning to the face painting area.

Phoebe sighed slightly when Rose called her over, but made her way over to her and the leader of the Wild Patch and her sister. Phoebe smiled a them both, rolling her eyes slightly when Rose almost immediately got distracted and left. "Well, hey." She said with a shrug, glancing between them both. "So, pretty cool to do this sort of thing. Why is it associated with the wild patch, though?" She had to ask, as she was curious. "I always got the feeling you guys mostly spent your time sitting around making flower crowns and being modern hippies." She grinned slightly. "Not that that's a bad thing, just not my style." She glanced around the room. There were more people here than she had expected, and she wondered how many were here because they were like Phoebe and how many were just there to show support. She wished it was easier to see, but she supposed in the end it didn't really matter.

Ainsley was still messing about with her flower crown when she saw Hayley approaching, breaking into a wide smile. "Hi!" Ainsley beamed, pleased to see someone she actually knew here. Hayley probably knew more about this side of her than anyone, and it was a definite comfort to have her around. Things were certainly still a little awkward after their accidental kiss, but Ainsley was hopeful that they would be back to normal before long. "Oh, yes please!" She smiled at Hayley's offer of help, bending down slightly for the shorter girl (a term that frankly, described all other girls Ainsley's age) so she could reach.

The hands that reached up onto the top of her head weren't Hayley's though, and Ainsley looked over, startled to see Amber here. She hadn't expected her friend to actually come. It warmed her heart, that Amber's feelings had so thoroughly changed since Ainsley's uncomfortable coming out. "Hi, Amber!" She beamed, face flushing slightly at the sight of her best friend. She was about to introduce Amber to Hayley when Amber spoke again, addressing Hayley in a familiar way. Oh. When... had they met? Oh no. Ainsley's joy turned to horror as she realised that Amber could easily have asked Hayley about the kiss... she wasn't sure which would have been worse, before or after they had spoken about it themselves. Either option was horrible. Oh no.

Thinking back to the last Pride event she had attended at Hogwarts, it astonished Lizzie how much she had grown in so little time. In her second year Pride had been terrifying, an event she only dared attend with Archie leading the way for her. Now going to Pride felt natural, despite Lizzie's slight fears that Caro might see her. She doubted her sister was likely to attend though, and so didn't hold back, painting rainbows on her cheeks in her dorm and sprinkling glitter in her hair in preparation. Checking herself in the mirror, Lizzie gave a nod of approval. It was a look Archie would be proud of, for sure.

Satisfied with her outfit, Lizzie made her way down to the celebration, beaming as she saw there were already plenty of people in attendance. This felt like home. Lizzie didn't actually see anyone she knew well enough to talk to (With the exception of that awful Hufflepuff girl messing with the tall girl's flower crown, but she doubted that would be a pleasant conversation. Also, what was she doing here?) so she made her way over to a table with a few snacks, getting a drink, contented to just be here for now, enjoy the atmosphere, surrounded by people like her. It felt safe. Like home.

Ares had missed the pride event last year, so he was certainly pleased when this year rolled around and one was called. He stood at the entrance of a very familiar site that he liked. He could see people scattered about the place, doing the different aspects that they had always done when it came to this event. He was proudly out, he hadn't told too many people but he was out. He had a crush on Damide as well, the first of it's kind for him. He wasn't sure Damide felt the same way back but he was happy to be feeling it. He spotted Eleanor who had put together this event and decided that he should go talk to her. He wandered over, noting that she was with her sister and speaking to someone else. But he figured it was still a good thing to go over and talk to her, congratulate her on such a beautiful and awesome event. One that for him held such dear memories. Spending time with boy his brothers, support Isaiah, and supporting him. It was nice. He waved at her as he approached, "Ellie hey! Great event you got going, congratulations," he told her happily, meaning every word of it, grinning happily as he did so.

The Pride event the Wild Patch organized hadn't really called to Tristan in his first year, but now that he knew he liked boys as well as girls, it was something he wanted to at least check out. Getting the interest of girls hadn't been very hard so far, but Tristan couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to flirt with a guy, maybe even kiss one. One that wasn't Vivian, at least. He wasn't exactly open about it yet, but that was mostly because it was convenient to let Vivian think the reason they should be secret was because they were both boys. Though that was not the case. If Tristan could get a male partner to a dance that would fit with his ideal more, he would in a heartbeat. Like a quidditch player, or prefect. But he didn't know of any that liked guys as well, so he hoped attending this event might give him some connections in that regard.

As he entered the Great Hall, he was a tad disappointed. There weren't many boys here at all, and of course it was impossible to tell if they were here to simply show support. He smiled at anyone that caught his eye, but lingered near the doorway. The idea of a flower crown of face paint was ridiculous, and if no one interesting caught his eye he would leave before long. He did notice Ares, whom he had talked to before, but didn't approach. He seemed busy, and Tristan preferred to observe for now.

Hayley glared at Amber as she hijacked her attempt to rearrange Ainsley's flower crown, but managed to force her expression back into something more friendly before either girl looked round. Why did she have to be so possessive? Wasn't Ainsley allowed other friends? On the other hand, perhaps this boded well for the eventual reciprocation of Ainsley's feelings. Hayley's single previous encounter with Amber had been about the most bizarre conversation she'd had during her time in Hogwarts, but actually if Amber was in love with Ainsley too, whether or not she realised it, it would make a lot more sense. Should she tell Ainsley about this possible interpretation the next time they were alone together? Judging by her friend's stricken expression, she'd have to tell her something about having met Amber. Hayley wanted to reassure her, but if fixing a flower crown could be interpreted as stepping on Amber's toes, words of support certainly would. "Hey, Amber. Nah, I just came to be supportive. Plants aren't really my thing."

Amber smiled happily at Ainsley, lowering her arms again as soon as the flower crown sat on her head without falling off. Wild Patch wasn't something ever really had any interest in, but it had always suited her friend very well. She saw something odd in the expression on Ainsley's face as she looked between them, and she wondered what it was about. Did she mind that Amber had looked up the other girl to meet her? Why would she mind something like that? Amber glanced back at Hayley. She believed it when Ainsley had said the kiss had been an accident, but now she wondered if there really wasn't anything going on. Amber smiled at Hayley. "Same for me! I like flowers, but I don't really like gardening." She glanced at Ainsley. "I just came to support my best friend."

Jerara arrived at the pride event definitely interested in what it had to offer. He didn't really know what he was. He liked girls, liked Beaubelle most of all, but he thought that some guys were cute. He didn't know if this was anything more than just being able to appreciate others but he was happy to explore it. The teen walked in and spotted a few people he knew. He waved happily at Eleanor as he walked around before spotting Tristan in the crowd. He wandered over to him and stopped next to him, "Hey Tristan," he greeted warmly, "This event isn't quite how I expected it to be, though I don't know what I was expecting," Jerara shrugged as he moved to stand a little in front of the other boy.

Tholomyes had helped out at all the events that Orwell had thrown with the wild patch, but he was now here again. With a new leader and he was more than happy to do so. He was as he'd always been, sat at the table of face painting ready do the faces of everyone who could possible want it. He had finished painting a love heart on to his face, and he felt far more motivated than any of the other years to do something at this event. Now that he had Emma back by his side, everything was just so much easier. It was just better. The prefect smiled softly as he finished painting on someone else's face and just kept looking around at the small but growing crowd of people, knowing he would be busy during this day. It would be fun, he liked doing this, it was a calm thing in a fun event. The teen knew he would do this again in the next year should it occur again. He only had a year and a half left in this school and he would do everything in his power to enjoy it, so he would definitely do this again. He would enjoy this, "Alright, who else wants their face painted?"

Lilyanna smiled slightly as Eleanor introduced her to her friends. She was glad that her sister was very supportive of her but sometimes she thought it was a bit exaggerated at times. When the Gryffindor spoke to her, Lilyanna blushed slightly. "Yes, my sister puts too much effort into things." Lilyanna said, not really caring how blunt she was to say so, even as her sister was standing right next to her. Her eyes darted around the room, clearly not interested in talking to the girl anymore, and she was glad as she walked away and headed over to the face-painting. It wasn't until Lilyanna spotted Tholomyes over there that she left her sister's side without a word, heading over to him. "Why do you like painting people's faces?" Lilyanna asked him, looking around at all of the people who wanted their face painted.

Eleanor beamed as Rose's sister came over. "Hello!" she exclaimed, happy to be meeting someone new. At the girl's question, Eleanor was happy to answer. "The Wild Patch club has always been happy to support everyone and so that's what we do." she told her, not feeling as though it needed a big explanation. She was a bit taken aback by her comment about them being hippies but tried not to let this get to her as she chuckled at Lilyanna's comment about her putting too much effort into it. She was used to Lily's blunt comments and so found them quite amusing. As she spotted Ares walking over to them, Eleanor smiled at him before waving goodbye to Rose. "Thank you!" she exclaimed once he had made it over. When she spotted Jerara she gave him a wave, and before she knew it Lily had disappeared in the same direction Rose did. Eleanor wasn't bothered by this however and was glad to just talk to Ares. "How are you?" she asked him, having not spoken to him in a while.

Seeing Jerara was a surprise to Tristan, but he was glad to see his friend. They hadn't talked enough lately, even though they had a lot in common. More, maybe, even than Tristan had supposed at first. If Jerara was here, did that mean he might like boys too? Tristan hadn't ever really considered him as possibility to date, and even now it was an odd thought to have. They were probably better as friends. He snorted a bit when Jerara said he expected it to be different. "Me neither, but i guess the Wild Patch is sort of silly by nature. I didn't really expect it to have face paint booths or flower crowns. What is the point of all that?" Tristan didn't think Pride should be about looking silly, but what did he know. "So... why are you here?" He asked Jerara carefully, curious to find out the answer.

Theo liked face painting a lot and smiled happily as Lilyanna joined him on the bench he was at. The boy was content with what he was doing, "Hey Lilyanna," he greeted warmly to her even as she just launched into asking why he liked it, "I'm good at it," he said with a shrug, "And it gives me good experience," he then added, since while it wasn't the kind of art he did, it did still give him some experience of doing different things on varying sizes of surfaces. It was an easy task to do, an easy way to give back to such an event, "Would you like your face painted?" he asked her holding up the paint brush in his hand with a smile. He probably wasn't the best to be doing this, but he was enjoying it, and he knew that most people were happy with what he produced for them. It was an easy thing for him to do, adding to skills he already had from his years of painting anyway, "How've you been Lilyanna?"

Sara had been curious to find out what the wild patch club event was about after she had heard other students talking about it. She knew it was something to do with Pride which she supported (despite her parents being wary of the LGBTQ+ thing). Sara was not one to judge, if you were attracted to someone else, a different type of person other than the one you were expected to like then that person should feel free to feel whatever they felt. It was with this open opinion that she reached the great hall and noticed there were many people there already. Sara couldn't recognise anyone besides one of her classmates, Tristan and Flavio Morales, the boy she gave a rose to. The second year was thinking to greet Tristan but he was busy talking to someone else, probably one of his friends so she decided to wave to him instead, not knowing if he saw her. She approached Flavio instead and smiled at him. "Hi. I like that you guys decided to set this up," she commented gesturing around her. It looked very well-organised and supportive of Pride.

Ares smiled at his friend, glancing over the wonderful things she had done with the place, "I'm good Ellie, how are you?" he told her, nodding his head and smiling slightly at her, "I've been kept busy, you know how it is," since he was sure that she did, since she was the leader of a club, the same OWLs as him and a prefect, he at the very least didn't have the last. But he did have quidditch which took up a lot of time, but they were in the same boat. Dealing with a lot of different school related things and working towards that OWL goal. The teen smiled at his friend, "This event is amazing, thanks for having it," he added since he felt more than some congrats were owed to her for organising such a thing. The teen knew that it must've been a lot for her to do.
