New Year New Plots

Hi hi! Figured since new IC is upon us might just throw a fresh DV out there see what I can do with my characters and the few ideas I have for them! (My apologies I still quite suck at these I fear..)

​	Mania Athanasiou 3rd year Gryffindor(13)​
	In case you aren't familiar with this firework of a girl Nia is very energetic and someone that's hard to miss. She is social to the CORE. She will talk to anyone and everyone and she has in the last year or so discovered how oh so fun it is to have a crush. She went home for the break thinking she was going to have the summer of her life because she'd crushed on a family friend only to find out mans had a girlfriend, the heart break and drama in the Athanasiou house was well... it was a summer. What am I looking for? Topics with friends ALWAYS welcome!! But I also would love love love her to have some awkward crushing because she does not possess the ability to be subtle about anything she will be very obvious in her crushing. I'm talking about hearts for eyes, constantly bothering you etc.​

​	Juniper Veritas 2nd year Hufflepuff (12)​
	In the last IC of roleplaying her I have discovered Juniper to be extremely awkward, nervous and shy. She's also very much a pushover, won't stand up for herself and I doubt she'll ever speak up to anyone, she'll do small things for others but usually when they are not looking. She's naïve to the core and will believe you if you tell her squirrels are falling from the sky. She loves all things nature and cosy, her favourite place to spend time is the gardens or by the lake because it reminds her of home. What am I looking for? I'd love her to have some threads with friends she's made last year but also if you have a character you'd like to bully someone I can volunteer Juniper as a victim. I think she needs to start learning to stand up for herself and what better way than to throw figurative rocks at her (probably not real ones let's be honest.) So whatever you have just give it to mee and we'll work something out!​
	Eris Athanasiou (11)​
	My one and only new sortee of the year. Eris is quite calm and collected, she isn't mean like her older sister Gaia or chaotic like their older sister Mania. She is also the adopted baby of the family, technically her sisters are her cousins because their mum is the adoptive sister of her late father. However Eris' biological parents passed when she was still a toddler so she grew up with these girls as her sisters. While she doesn't refer to her aunt and uncle as parents she is close to and adores her older sisters. She has a passion for archery and when not in class or doing other things she'll likely be practicing it somewhere safe enough. That's pretty much her only goal in life, to be as good at archery as she can so that she can make her father proud. What am I looking for? Friends, I'd love for her to meet some other firsties or catch up with those she met before coming to school and once she's sorted ofc have her get to know her dormmates, but for that we gotta wait for the sorting!

Syrah Glass Shopkeeper (28)​

Alright so Syrah is my shopkeeper and mama of 3. Syrah adopted her 3 kids when they were still quite young but she absolutely adores them. She adores all things divination, ancient runes and arithmancy. She was one of those characters that started off as like well I'm just gonna see what comes of her and then she came to me in an instant and I have fallen in love with her ever since. She's very calm, loving and nurturing person, not only to her kids but to everyone around her. She's also very like free flowing type of a person. What am I looking for? I really just want to do more with her so I would love for her to have some friendly plots and even dip her toe in the dating scene perhaps? Maybe some odd dates with someone, both men and women are a go, so whatever you have just offer it up.​

Juniper - Don't have a bully for Juniper but I have an idea. If someone does bully her, I have Ivara who could stand up for Juniper initially, or comfort her afterwards in a separate thread and talk to her about trying to stand up for herself. It'd be very in character for Ivara (she's in the same year).

Eris - I have Natsuko, my firstie. They might not get along as Natsuko is a bit excitable but I don't know, it might be fun to just throw them into a thread and see what happens. Natsuko is a muggleborn who is very fascinated with magic and easily impressed.

Also - I know you didn't mention Gaia, but I'd be keen for another thread with her and Jun if you're interested!

Let me know what you think, I don't mind if you pick and choose or decide on all of them. I hope to be better at responding this IC year!

Hi Faye!

For Mania I have my third year Doyle and while I'm not sure he's particularly crush worthy, he is shy and sensitive, and creative with his love for music. But he's also an alt. on the quidditch team so there's that too haha. Personally I don't know what he would do with all of her energy but it could still be fun for them to interact. Which could also be interesting because one of his main friends is her roommate. The only other boys I have are Naveen in 5th year and Oskar in 7th. Naveen is definitely not crush worthy but Oskar at least has some quiet mystery about him haha.

For Juniper I have January, who I think are probably also light friends considering they're roommates. Could be fun for them to get to know each other a bit better. I also really enjoy the thread with her and Naveen if you wanted to do something with them too. Maybe she can be his unofficial helper in the garden or something?

For Eris there is of course Ulric, they've already met and he thinks quite highly of her so far. If anything he appreciates the fact she hasn't been off put by him haha. I can definitely see them becoming better friends but probably post sorting when we know where they end up house wise.

And for Syrah, for friends I have Poppy here who is probably in the shop all the time since her best friend works there, and her girlfriend used to work there haha. She's also very bright and easy going so I can see them getting along. Currently she's a freelance artist and illustrator so maybe she can do some work on like new signs for the shop or something? As for romance I didn't realize that she and Simon, who works there, are actually the same age haha. He's a bit sour and grumpy and takes it out on everyone else. He's got a bit of a chip on his shoulder from family stuff but at his core he can be a very compassionate person, he might just not sugar coat things. I also have another character Daisy Vincent who I have done shamefully little with even though I do have plans for her like career wise. Currently she is trying to keep her family's theater company in business so she's a bit stressed, and her neice (January) is in the same year as the kids which is fun. Unfortunately she is a bit of a grump at the moment too due to stress and giving up on some of her dreams, but in better times she can be very witty and charming.

I think we chatted about the possibility of such stuff with Ivara and Juni last year but I think both of us fell off of posting for a bit (other than me on lessons oopsies ) but most definitely if anything comes up with any sort of bullying i would be lovli, in any case we could still throw them together at some point even if just to chat and get to know each other!

Don't worry Nia can add them all to her ever growing crush list even if she doesn't act on them! Doyle I'm pretty sure they hung out during their first year Halloween feast! Would be fun to throw them together again and see how i goes, Mania too is into music so could very much bond over it and ngl she would swoon over his musical skills and alt position at quidditch for a good bit She's also no stranger to crushing to boys wayyy older than her so I am officially adding both of those to her list even if we never put them into a thread together

January and Juniper YES PLEASE! I'd like to think they are already quite familiar with each other given they share a dorm, so would love o do more with them along the year! I actually think Juniper is slowly starting to like Naveen, I could see her trusting him more and definitely helping him around the garden if he lets her! She's had a bit of a hard time this past year with how scary older students are and people in general so it was refreshing when Naveen was so nice and chill, definitely enjoyed their vibe!

Eris and Ulric also an absolute yes for me, Eris finds him nice and calm. I could definitely see a friendship growing between them as well and after sorting we should have them hang out, if Ulric is sent down to the dungeons by hat she can help him plan his escape!!

Poppy and Syrah we could defs do something for them for friendly vibes c: Syrah would definitely love to support freelance artists and would defs take her on for the sign stuff! We should do a thread with them whenever, no rush, and see how they get along. Though I doubt there would be much issues Syrah is a very friendly person. She was also a Ravenclaw in HS so another connection

Romance stuff oooo workplace romance? Could be fun, I feel like Syrah is the type not to be bothered by grumpiness but instead she'd try to shine some light to give some contrast to that. We should just throw Syrah and Simon into a thread of either in the shop or outside work hours and see what happens It'll either do a titanic or actually work somehow! Idk but this idea really speaking to me right now so I am absolutely down if you are!

Would be down to throw Daisy and Syrah in too as an option if we wanted to see imo! Not too picky really I just want this woman to experience life a little more since she's been so focused on her kids that she's neglected her own social life in every shape and form for them, she doesn't regret it the least but defs just want to throw her at people and see what happens.

Doyle x Nia: whoops forgot about that thread haha, but happy to have them cross paths again!!

Juniper x January: Yay! Saw there was a thread with Juniper and Arachne so I might just toss her in there to make things easy. She's also big into divination so the tarot cards would be like catnip to her haha.

Juniper x Naveen: Yesss, I think he sees a lot of his younger scared self in her and is kind of surprised with how confident he is by comparison. But he would be happy to have her as a helper, there was a plot I kind of dropped last year but his "secret" garden organization might grow a little but I'm happy for her to be a part of it

Eris x Ulric: My boy got puffed lol. I think he might try and meet up with her the morning after sorting to make sure she's doing ok in Slytherin, since to him it was so scary. If that sounds fun?? Or they can meet up elsewhere. I have a feeling he's going to want to check out the forest at some point too.

Syrah x everyone lol: I'm happy to start a thread with her and Poppy soon! As for the other's I'm fine maybe seeing how the staff meeting with Simon plays out since he is very distressed by all of the children he works with now haha.

Hi! So there's nothing I love more than awkward friendship tension and I got it in my head that perhaps Peregrine might feel low key a tiny little bit envious of Nia, when the boys she finds cute seem to like her instead... i mean she'd still think Nia's great and like "of course boys like her she's fun and pretty and cool" but I just thought I'd drop that thought in and see if you potentially wanted to do something with that at some point.

Also I didnt get around to it last IC year and I'm just getting back on track now (famous last words) but did you want to have Lilith and Audrey attempting meditation together for animagus training (and possibly getting distracted)? I'd really like to RP Mania with my 3rd year Gryffindor Tessaria. They seem pretty similar and I think they'd get along very well. Tess is also sad because she doesn't have very many friends yet.

If you'd like for Juniper to have another bully, I can also volunteer my 2nd year Slytherin Aiya. She says what she thinks and is quite bossy. Perhaps Juniper can be her little minion as well.

Hi! So there's nothing I love more than awkward friendship tension and I got it in my head that perhaps Peregrine might feel low key a tiny little bit envious of Nia, when the boys she finds cute seem to like her instead... i mean she'd still think Nia's great and like "of course boys like her she's fun and pretty and cool" but I just thought I'd drop that thought in and see if you potentially wanted to do something with that at some point.

Oh my god Poor Peregrine, I do love that though its kind of funny I feel like if Nia were aware of this she'd feel bad and be like no!! Ofc they don't like me lmao idk wym we could have a thread on them of having a chat or something and just see how that goes and what their dynamic is currently? Last year at least I did like the thread we did at the start of he year and their rose topic was fun too I do think she considers Peregrine a friend so we could do something and if Peregrine is envious that could add a fun little edge and possibility for some drama I could start something for them once I get the chance?

As for Audrey and Lilith please! I feel like Lilith very much looks up to Audrey (both academically and on quidditch pitch probably) and it'd be cute to do a thread with them in a setting like that! Especially since Audrey is graduating soon Lilith would want to probably get a chance of shared training in any shape or form, she's still like very at the beginning haven't gotten to even the mandrake leaf part yet but you know but like she'd also be dying to talk to Audrey so getting distracted to chat would be a likely scenario in any case, would you like to start that one whenever you have the time to?

I can see you have some exciting plot ideas above. I hope you don't mind me joining in as well?

First and fore most YES NIA AND TESS PLEASE! I really liked when they had the rose delivery topic and would love to have the two explore their possible friendship more (I think Nia at least would already consider Tessaria a friend especially since they share the dorm!) Would you like to start that one?

Juniper and Aiya I am down to give them a go! Juni is definitely the type to become someones minion especially since she is too naïve to see if people are using her and also is a chronic people please Aiya is free to take full advantage of both traits I could start something for these two once I get the chance?

I think it seems like Mania has no shortage of people for her crush list but I really need someone to make my boy Jono look stupid and act out a bit (he's been rotting alone in his dorm for two years already sorry, Jono) and I thought maybe in a reverse, Jono could get smitten over Mania and not know what to do about it beyond be very awkward and maybe try to do some things to (fail) to impress her. (Plus her potentially crushing on all the boys in their year except him when he's totally gone on her amuses me)

Thoughts?

(Oh also I'm very curious to see how Eris and Amanita play off each other this year in the girls' dorm but I'm waiting to see how the dust settles there...)

Hey Kris! Absolutely love this idea for Nia and Jono I definitely feel like in all her boy craziness she could very well just be blind to someone crushing on her I'm 100% down to do things on them! We could have a thread for them sometime soon of just hanging out to set he pace and see what happens and how everything goes

Also I am very curious to see how they'll do, Eris is quite crossed with the placement of the dorms but i'm eager to see how she'll do with everyone! Bu yes we shall see how that thread goes first!
