Hufflepuff Practice Y39 S1

René let himself preen a little under Connor's praise, feeling pleased until the bludger Connor sent back his way hit him. He'd tried to raise his bat to fend it off but hadn't been nearly quick enough, grimacing and hissing in pain as it bounced off his outstretched arms, the pain shooting all the way up his arm to his shoulder.

René tried to right himself after the bludger hit, though his arm and shoulders hurt even more than before, which René hadn't thought possible. It was hard to get up the inspiration to go after another bludger just yet so René took a lap to try and shake off the ache.

Blair followed Hunter trying to look for a good chance to steal the quaffle from him.

Tilly winced in empathy as Connor's bludger hit Rene. At least the other two beaters were having better luck than her.

Since no one stopped him Hunter kept flying towards the hopps throwing the quaffle right at the middle one. The quaffle soared through the hoop and Hunter lifted his arms up cheering.

René took a few practice swings as he flew, arms still aching but feeling a little bit better about maybe trying to hit something again. Being a beater was exhausting.

Lucas kept scanning the sky for the snitch, not seeing any sign of it so far.

Feeling sluggish, René tried to catch up to one of the bludgers, though he was quickly outpaced.

Jordie caught the ball as it was tossed back into play, and started back around.

René doubled back on the bludger he'd been chasing, managing to cut it off and send it barreling towards @Amy Jewel. It was hard work and everything hurt, but René still felt satisfied to get in another hit.

Amy x1
Blair x1
Connor x1
Hunter x1
Jordan x1
Linden x1
Lucas x1
Rene x1
Tilly x1

Lucas winced as one of the captains was hit by a bludger, the beaters were doing pretty well.

Blair caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in the game and was fully focused on not being hit herself that she missed Amy being hit by the bludger.

René wondered if it was bad to hit the captains, but then again he knew Amy was an experienced player, and Connor hadn't seemed to mind, so hopefully it was fine.

Jordie flew back around, frowning as his goal was caught..He hoped he would do better in an actual game.

Blair passed the quaffle to Jordie, hoping that he would make a good shot.
@Jordan Harris

Jordie was surprised when Blair passed him the quaffle. He threw the quaffle, grimacing as he missed it.

Tilly watched as her captain got hit with a bludger. She was doing a terrible job of protecting her teammates and an even worse job of clobbering them.

Amy was following the other chasers when she was hit by the bludger. She gave Rene at thumbs up, pleased that the beaters were getting hits in.

René felt more assured when Amy gave him a thumbs up too, feeling proud despite how bad everything hurt from practice.

Tilly did a barrel roll and wondered if she would ever hit a bludger again.

René spotted Tilly doing some sort of cool maneuver and tried to copy her, balking as he nearly slipped off his broom. He quickly righted himself, embarrassed but at least still on his broom.

Deciding to keep a proper grip on his broom now, René took a weak swing at a passing bludger, unsurprised to see it wasn't enough to hit anyone.

After recovering from the bludger hit, Amy caught the quaffle as it was thrown into play. She kept an eye out for other chasers as she flew towards the hoops.

Tilly protected her teammates and wondered if she would be better off joining the Wild Patch Club.

Not seeing any other chasers, Amy threw the quaffle and grinned when it went through.
