It's our way of celebrating that character and their RPer for really putting in some extra effort towards how they roleplay and develop characters on site!

What was your initial thought when you were contacted about being spotlighted?
Surprised, honestly. Wasn't expecting it at all, especially because Miles is still a pretty new character so he still has a long way to go!
What was the inspiration for your character?
The only real inspiration was the idea that I knew I wanted to write a werewolf character. So I came up with the backstory, and Miles just so happened to be the result of that plotting. I don't usually have a lot of inspo when I make characters, I like to let them write themselves for the most part. It always makes it more interesting for me.
What is your favourite RP that your character has taken part in?
I haven't had the opportunity to have that many RP's yet with him only being a first year, but there have been some threads I have enjoyed. I loved the idea of the Miles and Theo's Unofficial Quidditch Club coming together. And also a simple question to ask someone to practice with him turned into an impromptu coaching session instead in A Need To Practice
What is your favourite aspect of your character?
How outgoing and optimistic about things he is. It makes it easy to thread with all kinds of people because he is always so ready to start a conversation and try and befriend someone. I've had characters in the past who are very introverted, and it does make it hard to find threads, and they struggle to make friends. But Miles absolutely isn't like that and he is so incredibly easy for me to write which I am always going to be thankful for.
Your least favourite aspect?
How desperate he is to interfere in someone else's business to try and help. He does it because he has a good heart deep down and just wants to help people. But because he feels so incapable of helping his parents get back together, he is projecting onto everyone else's problems. If he can't help his parents then he wants to help everyone else instead. It hadn't caused any major issues yet, but I can see him ended up in a bad situation in the future if he keeps meddling and other people don't appreciate it all too much.
If you could meet your character in real life would you want to? Why or why not?
I don't see why not! We probably wouldn't be friends because of the age gap, but why wouldn't I want to meet my own creation
What do you feel your strength in developing characters is?
Your weakness?
Tough question. Honestly, I don't really know what my strength is? I guess I'm good at writing things on the fly and not really having much pre-planning for anything. I usually just go into characters with one set idea. Like with Miles it was "I know I want him to be a werewolf" and then that's basically all the planning I've done. I just let his RP's and his personality take me through the rest of life. Which probably isn't the greatest way to do things, but hey ho. As for weaknesses, well, you can say the above is a weakness as well because it does mean my characters basically never have any long-term plots. I'm really not a great plotter, guys
What would you recommend to those looking to further develop their characters?
God, I am really the wrong person to be asking that question, I barely do any proper development
I guess you can try throwing your characters into unexpected situations, that always turns out fun and could lead to new experiences.
What are you most looking forward to on HNZ in the next several months?
Just seeing where the road takes me. I still have a lot to experience on HNZ, only hearing about most stuff from my sister. My previous characters only made it a few IC years in, so I'm first just looking to get Miles further in school and to see what awaits me there.
What is your favourite part of HNZ?
Stalking other people's threads and plots
Sorry not sorry. You all have some really great characters and I can't help but scroll through the newest threads to see what's going on and what interesting plots and threads you all have ongoing. Really, some of the creativity you have is fascinating, and I can't help but follow along with it.
