Week 6
We are now in week 6 of the semester! The time has really flown by. We would encourage professors to catch up and encourage students to do the same, given that this is semester one, there is still a lot to play for and those points are pretty close.
Quidditch
We've had a couple of quidditch games since the last Bi-Weekly update, Gryffindor went up against Ravenclaw and won pretty quickly, you can read the game back here. We've also got our other schools game upcoming, who are you hoping will win?
The Winking Stag now open
The eagle eyed amongst you might've noticed but we've got a new/old shop, this shop is now called the Winking Stag and was once the second hand shop. This has now been taken over and revamp by Zach, head on over here to check out what it sells.
Halloween
Halloween has passed now IC, and here are our winners for the costume contest:
Best Overall: Hugo Stark-West as a Prince (Mia)
Best Magically Enhanced: Cyrus Thorne (Daph) as a Rainbow
Most Scary: Gaia Athanasiou as a Plague Doctor (Faye)
Best Group/Pair: Nessie and Arachne Westwick as a Spider and Fly (Rowan & Daph)
Most Ridiculous: Teddy Pirrip as a Frog (Verity)
Most Traditional Halloween: Freddie Lagowski as a Skeletal Knight (Claire)

Birthday Fun
Another birthday celebration over! You can still check out the various games and the fun in some of the threads now sitting in the OOC areas, but it's another year by and another year in which HNZ gets older. Thanks for all the participation and fun that was had.

Global Moderator Appreciation Day was June 1st, as it is every year, check out the thread here. Where you too can show some appreciation for our GMs both current and former.

The Admin have noticed an uptick in event applications and would like to remind everyone that not all events need to or can happen in semester 2 - though it gives you more time to plan etc., if you hold the position for more than one year you can plan for a S1 event.
GM changes
There have been some changes to the team; Marga is no longer a Global Moderator. We thank her for the time and effort she gave in the role and wish her all the best.
Shop Reminder
As we are in week 6 we're quickly heading towards the mid-year break. This means for shop keepers please to try to keep on top of your shop, make sure you are responding to threads, cleaning up areas etc..

- History Repeats - Freddie encounters a new kind of teacher, and a new kind of punishment.
- Un-Frog-Ettable - A couple of weeks after Halloween Hugo pulls Teddy aside to apologise for his actions at the feast. However, his nerves and some unfortunate miscommunication get in the way.
