Open Y48 Club Fair

Teddy saw the Heta table had Audrey helping out and he cocked his head in response to her raised eyebrow, wondering what she was doing here. His attention was drawn away by a boy asking if they ever did events with the girls. "Yeah, we’ve teamed up a few times," Teddy replied. "We had a shared bonfire a few years back, a tug of war last year, and the plan is to do something else this year." He grinned when the boy went to sign up. "That’s the spirit," he encouraged, watching him sign his name until the next person came.

The boy asked if they ever built things. Teddy considered it for a moment, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Not officially, but we do themed meetings, and that’s actually a good idea for one. I’ll keep it in mind," he said, turning the suggestion over in his head. A third question came about past events. "Oh, loads," Teddy replied. "Last year was tug of war and truth and dare. Previously, there was a Nerf war, and a rugby game once. We like to mix it up. Keeps things interesting." He gestured to the sign up sheet, "All you need to do is sign your name if you want to join the Brotherhood."

Last year Lilith had focused solely on getting used to her new surroundings and life, she hadn't really bothered with anything besides lessons and the occasional socializing, even that had been enough to push her limits at times. This year though, Lilith was keen to explore some of the activities and clubs the school offered them. She marched up to the Student Defence Association stand. "Hi! I would like to join the club, do I just sign up on a paper or something or are you going to test me somehow? I hope not, I didn't prepare for such thing." She blurted out, she just wanted to join the club but if they were going to test her on her who knows dueling abilities? Well she hadn't prepared for such, so she really just hoped it was a name on paper and done type of deal.

@Savannah Walters

Logan's eyes lit up at the events the older boy described, they sounded really fun. He nodded enthusiastically and grabbed a quill to scribble down his name. "Cool!" He said with a grin.

Since Echo had spent her entire life being homeschooled, the idea of finding a club she could be part of was fun and something she was keen on trying. Despite not quite knowing where to begin, the first year scanned the different stalls hoping to see something that would stand out to her. She didn’t really want to fight, and she wasn’t a writer nor did she feel particularly creative if it wasn’t to do with her clothes, but perhaps singing up for the Heta Omega was a good start. She’d learn about as many girls as she could with potentially similar interests, without standing out so much my signing up to one of the more specialised clubs. She listened to the older girls talk about the kind of things they did, before Echo took a couple of stickers and signed up name neatly at the bottom of the list.

@Bailey Walden-Cade

Theo nodded his head enthusiastically when the older girl had explained to him where he could sign up. He quickly did what he was told and signed his name as well as everything else he needed to do on the sign up sheet. He said a quick thanks to the older girl in the arts club @Lucy Montague before quickly making his way to the boys club, grinning as there seemed to be a lot more people interested in the boy club, he waved at his friend as well before turning to the older boy. "What cool activities do you guys do? Where do I sign up?" Theo asks the older boy, eager to sign up for the boys club, @Teddy Pirrip

Last year, Ten had tried to join a club but things had turned south quickly when the girl that ran it thought she was being rude. Looking back, the Gryffindor could sort of see what she meant, however the fifth year didn't think it had been such a big deal that Ten's punishment to not be allowed to join the club in the first place was warranted. She'd turned up to the Club Fair again, hoping to get a place in the clubs that would allow her to expand her horizons. She adored working in the greenhouses with Professor Carter but felt as though she should be doing more with her time at Hogwarts.

Approaching the Head Boy, she resisted the urge to be distracted by the flowery cupcakes, knowing that the most important thing she could do right now was make a good impression. "Please may I.." Mervyn had told her the importance of remembering her manners, especially now that she was getting older, "join the Wild Patch?" Surely no one could say she was being rude this time?

@Zerrin Fergusson

Audrey grinned at the younger girl, though she let Bailey give a better explanation first. "Yeah, I'm Audrey, and I am fun," she said brightly, handing over a sign up form. "What's your name? It'll be cool to hang out with you at the club," she added, determined to do a better job at being friendly and a good role model. Sure, her study load was still way too much, but if she didn't turn out like her parents she knew she was winning.

@Mania Athanasiou

Miranda's yelling must have paid off, as a boy came up to join almost immediately. "Oh, for sure, we'd love to have you aboard!" She handed over a sign up sheet to the boy for him to write his name down with an encouraging smile and nod. "Anything particular you'd like to write?" she asked, casually - although she was trying to get some ideas on what to put in the paper going forward.

@Finley Mackintosh Baros

Zerrin had barely settled into his chair when someone approached. He looked up, smiling at the girl. "Yeah, sure!" He agreed, sliding over the box of cupcakes. "Just sign the paper there with your information, and feel free to grab a cupcake!" He told her, pleased that they already had someone. @Ten Layton-King

Mania smiled at the two older girls, they had done their job well and she was now thoroughly convinced to the cause. "I am Mania Athanasiou, but you can call me Nia! I look forward to hanging out with you two at the club, I have loads of sisters at home but they aren't here so it'd be cool to have older girls to ask for advice, if I need any. Writing a letter and waiting for a response from France might be a bit too daunting." She shook her head as she explained, daunting indeed. Not that she'd willingly ever admit she looked up to Hera and found her advice useful, least of all to her. "Oh, may I take one of these? Also do I sign my name somewhere now or do you got it covered?" Her attention was now on the stickers and badges situated on the table.

@Audrey Beauchamp

As much as Eoghan enjoyed learning about the practical knowledge that came with the SDA, and as keen as he was to get to the duels this year, the Ravenclaw knew that he also wanted to do more with his own passions surrounding divination and tarot cards. Approaching the table for the school paper, he'd been pondering as to how he could help out and use his writing skills and personal interest to create something for the Hogwarts Monthly, although he wasn't sure if other students would be keen to read about it. Eoghan had already read the editions from last year, trying to gauge the space on the team that would be available. He didn't want to write about something that was already taken. "Hi," Eoghan spoke quietly to the girl who seemed to be running the paper. He knew there was already a section on horoscopes, but that also wasn't exactly what he had in mind. "Can I join the group for the paper?"

@Miranda Dawes

Miranda was in the midst of signing one person up when another boy - a Ravenclaw, she had seen him in the dorms she was pretty sure - asked to join as well. "Yeah, absolutely!" she said, cheerfully, handing another sign up sheet over. There were some quills available on the table as well as pens, since she knew not everyone was used to muggle stationery. She'd grown up using it with her dad's job, when they weren't using computers. "Just sign your name up here so we can make sure you're on the list for our first meeting!"

@Eoghan Blyth

Eoghan felt like a door had just been opened to him when Miranda said he could join the paper. The blond nodded, taking the quill and writing his name down neatly on the signup sheet. "Thank you," he added a wave of excitement at the idea that others might get to hear what he had planned up his sleeve. He wasn't sure when their first meeting was, but surely it wouldn't have been too far in the future. There weren't any other clubs he wanted to join just yet, so once he was ready to leave the Hogwarts Monthly table, he went off to see if he could find where Lilith had got to.

"I'm not sure what I want to write but it will definitely be something cool! Do you have a section about animals and animal care?" it might be nice to make sure people's pets were being taken well care of! He quickly signed his name to the paper before looking for his next group to join. He headed on over to the table full of boys. "Is this just for boys?"

@Teddy Pirrip

"Welcome to the Brotherhood!" Teddy said as the newest boys signed up. It wasn't long until two more came along and Teddy found himself repeating himself, although he didn't mind. "Yeah, just for boys. We do loads of fun activities, last year we played tug of war against the girls, but we have loads of different themed meetings to keep things interesting." Teddy explained, "Just sign this parchment if you'd like to join."

It was busy at the club fair by the time Hēmi came down to have a look. He'd almost decided not to show up but at the last minute thought maybe it wouldn't hurt to at least check it out. He wandered around, eyeing the different stands and thinking over what he'd like to join. He decided to stop at the brotherhood stand. He caught the tail end of what the older boy there was saying to other prospective members and thought it sounded alright. "I'll sign up," Hēmi said, waiting for the others to sign before taking his turn, not wanting to be rude.

Amory had one mission, sign up to the Student Defence Association and then get out of there. He wasn't one to mingle around groups of people if not necessary so with his target in mind he made his way through the lingering students. "Hi I'd like to sign up to the SDA." Amory said simply to the girl running the stand.

@Savannah Walters

Ruto watched as she saw Zerrin hurry towards her with the cupcakes. "Yes, definitely a nice touch." she agreed, watching as he sat down and began eating one. It wasn't long before a younger girl approached the table, only turning to Zerrin and as if Roo wasn't even there. Roo just observed, folding her arms across her chest as Zerrin said she could join the club and gave her the sign-up sheet. This was going to be a long day.

@Zerrin Fergusson

Theo nodded quickly, before quickly signing the parchment, before saying a quick thanks to the boy, @Teddy Pirrip and was off. He looked around the fair for a bit to see if there was any other clubs that interested in. He shrugged before heading off.

After the Quidditch club, Peregrine went to the actual club fair. She quickly signed up for the paper, knowing how her uncle would write freelance reviews for papers. She wanted to try that out too, see if she liked it as much as he did. Peregrine looked around at the other booths, wondering what she might enjoy, and went over to the Heta Omega booth, overhearing some conversations on the way. "Hello," she greeted the older of the girls at the booth with a small polite smile. "Did I hear right, this is a club for girls to hang out?" She toyed with the quill already in her hand, hoping that it would give her good opportunities to make friends. "May I please sign up?"

@Bailey Walden-Cade

Hachiro finished off signing his name for the Brotherhood and then headed over to the table set up for what he could only assume was duelling. "I'd like to sign up here too please," he said, writing his name under the list, there were others asking questions but he was pretty sure he knew how this worked.

@Savannah Walters

Christa was excited to have a club room where she could pretty much do whatever she wanted. Making her scrapbooks would be so much easier if she had access to the proper materials. "Oh cool! Thanks," she took a sticker and signed her name before heading in search of another group to join, eventually coming to face a group for girls. Ooh, well she was a girl! "Um, hey! I'd like to join please!" she said, moving to sign her name.

@Bailey Walden-Cade

Prim nodded as they all sort of started talking at once, and she smiled slightly, quickly signing her name. She supposed she could probably just stick it out for a year and see if she liked it and then if she didn't she could drop out of the club, that seemed like her best option at this point. She headed over to the Wild Patch club, and smiled as she saw the head boy. "I would like to join too."

@Ruto Vernier-Raison @Zerrin Fergusson

Ruth hadn't bothered joining any clubs other than Heta Omega last year having been far too lazy, but now she could participate in the dueling tournament she thought she might see how she went with it. She didn't have high expectations on herself - not in the least so nobody else did - but she thought she might like to duel and hoped she might be able to be secretly good at it. And if not, at least she would give it a half-hearted try to get to that point. She raised her hand in greeting to the older girl at the table. "Hey, can I like, just put my name down?"

@Savannah Walters

He signed his name on the paper that would let him join the brotherhood and then headed over to what looked like the section for duelling. He wondered if they had a creatures club anywhere. "I'd like to join too."
