Open Y48 Club Fair

Savannah looked up at the boy who first approached her. "You can join, but you won't be able to join the duelling tournament until your second year," she told him. "Since you won't know enough spells to be able to duel," she told him. @Miles Flynn
Then a girl approached, echoing what the point had said. "Yeah you can, Student Defence isn't just about duelling," she told her. @Autumn Owens-Rosemary
The next girl who approached was older but still had Savannah barely holding back an eye roll. "We do," she said. "Usually in the second semester," @Aurora Chase
Savannah looked to the next girl, and just frowned a little, she picked up a piece of paper and held it out to her. "Just sign," she told her, wondering why on earth she thought they'd have to do anything more. @Lilith Ilves
A group of people,a couple of slytherins and a gryffindor of varying ages approached, all asking the same thing. "Sure, if you'd like to sign up just sign this sheet one at a time and then that's it. " she told them all.
@Amory Raven @Hachiro Kaster @Ruth Thorne @Finley Mackintosh Baros

Lilith gave the older girl a smile before taking the quill and putting her name down on the parchment. "Alright, thank you!" She said before quickly disappearing, it wasn't all that bad after maybe her comment had been a tad bit silly about needing to prove being worthy of the club but you could never be too sure these days.

Amory gave a nod and signed his name before leaving the court yard, glad to have the socializing of the day done.

"Yeah... that's what I thought," he admitted, frowning just a little. While he was disappointed he wouldn't be able to actually duel until next year, that wasn't going to stop him from joining the club. At least it wasn't banned for first years. So, he reached forward with his pencil and scribbled his name on the list before straightening again. "Thanks!" With that done, he tucked his pencil away, looking around at the other clubs on offer for a moment before deciding there was nothing else he really wanted to join. That's when he left the courtyard.

Teddy was pleased to see a steady flow of boys signing up, ideally he wanted every boy to sign up but appreciated that a super fun boys club wasn't for everyone. "There you go, all yours." He offered the parchment to the last boy waiting. @Heemi Blenheim

Finley gladly signed his name on the paper, he wouldn't be able to duel yet, but that was okay, maybe he could do that on his own?

Once she'd signed her name onto the sheet, and ignored that the girl leading it was apparently an arrogant @sshole, but she could deal with that, after all most Ravenclaws she'd ever met were arrogant people hiding behind their own intelligence (which often tended not to be that high anyway) she moved on quickly to Heta Omega, which was kind of a nice name for a group. "Hi, yes, I will be joining this too, where do I sign?"

@Bailey Walden-Cade

Aleja had heard that the club fair could get intense, and had been bracing herself for it all day. She was going out on a real limb for the first time in her life, anxiety gnawing away at her stomach. But Vivian had encouraged her to pursue the things she was interested in, no matter what people said, and she was going to do her best. Hopefully she would be able to blend into the background enough that nobody would pick on her.

She had been hoping that she could show up a little late to the fair; that enough people would have dispersed and she could sign up in peace and quiet, and nobody would even notice her name scrawled on the list. But she clearly hadn't timed it right, as when she arrived the courtyard was still bustling with students. Great. She considered backing out and waiting a while before coming back, but she was here now, and this was all supposed to be about being brave, right? So she swallowed her fears and approached the table for the newspaper, glancing up at the older students manning it. "I'd like to sign up..."

Julian had thought about what clubs he should join. He knew that the least disappointing choice would have been to join the Student Defense Association, but Julian had never been much for duelling. And it was never a skill that he'd thought he needed to chase after. He had been quite content with his books and his plants. So for the past few days, he'd talked himself out of joining any other club aside from the Wild Patch Club. There was no reason for him to join the other clubs since Mikael wasn't part of any of them as far as he could tell. Or at least, he didn't sound like someone who would be into clubs. So that meant clubs were something he could take for himself. As he entered the fair, he made a beeline for the Wild Patch Club, eyeing the two individuals there. "How do I sign up?"

@Ruto Vernier-Raison @Zerrin Fergusson

Eurydice hesitated when she entered the Courtyard. She'd thought about signing up for Heta Omega again but seeing the girls clustered there made her not want to go. She vaguely recognized the girls from the tug-of-war event last year and wasn't exactly keen on having a confrontation here. She didn't want to go through another round of name-calling if she could avoid it, especially with her cousins milling about. Not to mention the possibility of Kael-nii being present. Instead, she turned back and almost left the fair altogether until she caught sight of the SDA booth. She bit her lip as she thought of joining the club. She hadn't last year but perhaps joining it would be good. After another moment of thought, she made a beeline for the booth. "Hi. Do you have defense practice regularly or is it just duelling?"

@Savannah Walters

Miranda thought the animal care thing didn't sound too bad, a lot of students had pets (she herself had an owl that was an olive branch gift from her mother) and were taking care of them for the first time. She made a thoughtful noise and scribbled down a note, thanking the boys and girl who signed up. Another girl approached looking pretty nervous, so Miranda figured she'd try and make it as painless as possible for her. "Hey, welcome!" she greeted, handing over the sign up sheet. "Just put down your name and house and we'll handle the rest! I like your hair, by the way," she added, hoping a compliment might help her feel a bit more comfortable.

@Aleja Morales

Daisuke already knew what club he wanted to sign up in, but he also wanted to be sure which clubs he shouldn't join. He'd made sure to come a little early and tuck himself in a snug little hiding place. He didn't know when Hachiro would be showing up but waiting would be worth it for as long as he found which clubs his twin would be joining. If Daisuke ended up in a club where Hachiro would be, he would never know a moment's peace in that club so it was just better to do it this way. Thankfully, his brother had for once, not shown up late and was instead part of a huge crowd of other students signing up for clubs. Once he'd marked which booths his brother had gone too, he snuck towards the Wild Patch Club to hurriedly sign his name before his brother could notice.

School clubs were at least something Angelo was familiar with. Each student was required to join two back home - something about a well-rounded education whatever that meant. In any case, usually in his school, they needed to join one academic club and one non-academic. In this school apparently they were allowed to join as many as they wanted to, he even heard that it was fine to join none at all. He wasn't about to miss the full school experience though. As he entered the Club Fair, he wandered and looked at the booths setup. Heta Omega was already a big no. While Angelo had no problem with hanging out with girls, he didn't think the girls would be fine with him coming to take up some space. He didn't feel particularly artsy enough for the Arts Club and he'd yet to figure out the magical version of a camera since pictures here moved. Yearbook was out. The girl leading the Defense Club was terrifying so maybe not that and he didn't particularly think he was cut out for gardening. At this rate, he was going to end up not joining anything. He looked at the Hogwarts Monthly booth and from what he understood, they were the Journalism Club. He didn't really have any experience writing for the school paper, but he thinks it'll be a good way to better his English. Or so he hopes. And so he rushed over to the booth and gave a wave to the people there. "Hey. Can I join?"

@Miranda Dawes @Hugo Stark-West

There was technically no reason for Theodore to attend the Club Fair. He was only going to be here for a year, and being a member of the school clubs in HNZ for only a year seemed weird. But it was such a large gathering of people that it was so hard to resist going. Besides, he'd never been one to shy from weird. If he was going to be a member of a club for a year, then he was going to be a member of a club for a year. Bonus points since he would be meeting a number of people around. This is how he found himself entering the Courtyard, hands in pockets and looking around. It wasn't hard to find the first club he should join. Or at least, bother. "Prefect, Quidditch Captain, and Brotherhood President?" he greeted the boy manning the booth, looking at him distinctly impressed. "No plans to leave some talent for the rest of us mere mortals?" he said as he looked at the various photos about. "Now do tell me what you like to do. Brotherhood sure has a good recruitment strategy - pretty face here and all."

@Teddy Pirrip

Aleja's nerves shot through the roof when the older girl spoke, too jarred to even register the compliment. She had hoped and prayed they would just ask for her name and write it down themselves, but of course that would be too easy. "Oh, um..." Aleja's shoulders hunched as she leaned over the parchment, gripping the quill tightly in her hand as she did her best to make sure her handwriting was readable. Her face was flushed when she pulled back, not quite able to bring herself to look at the older girl. "Okay, thanks..." She mumbled before hurrying off into the crowd, trembling slightly. What a way to get herself kicked out before she had even joined.
@Miranda Dawes

Zerrin was surprised as they were suddenly swarmed with a few kids. He laughed lightly, straightening. "Okay, okay, everyone is welcome, everyone gets a cupcake, and everyone will need to sign the sheet, and that's it," He told the three of them, though one had already signed his name. "I'm Zerrin, this is Ruto, and we'll post announcements for the date of the first club meeting, we might be collabing with another club," He told them all. @Ruto Vernier-Raison @Primrose Kaster @Julian Nightray @Daisuke Kaster

Teddy arched his eyebrow slightly when an older boy approached his table, he looked to be a similar age to Teddy but he didn't recognise him, probably a transfer he decided. He wasn't sure if this guy serious, or was he taking the mickey? Either way, Teddy wasn’t one to shy away from a bit of banter. “Impressive, isn’t it?” Teddy said, his tone deliberately casual as he chose to play along for now, “I like to keep the bar high." He said before directing back onto the boy, "Are you here to join a club or just compliment the people running them?”
@Theodore Nightray

"Complimenting? You wound me darling," he said in mock offense. "I'm trying to flirt, but I must be off my game. Tragic," Theo sighed deeply, eyes closed before he opens them again, grinning at the boy in front of him. "Do I get to spend time with you if I join your club?"

@Teddy Pirrip

Thomas had been avoiding clubs for a while, but he knew if he had to make some friends, he had to at least try and sign up for these clubs. The Hufflepuff timidly made his way around, he knew there was a few clubs he needed to sign up for and his dad had been encouraging enough for him to do so. Thomas first made his way to the wild patch club. He smiled shyly at the older boy. "Do you guys tend the garden a lot? Or do you guys do other things too?"

@Zerrin Fergusson

"Flirting? Oh, that’s what that was?" Teddy asked, nodding a little and slightly puzzled by the whole thing. The guy was a bit weird and Teddy wasn’t entirely sold on spending time with him yet. "Yeah, I’m usually at the meetings." He confirmed, he was club president after all.
@Theodore Nightray

Ignatius hadn't exactly done a lot to socialise at the school, not really having seen much of it as worth his time. It didn't help when his attempts were met with crazy girls like Sunny...and indeed most of the Quidditch team, which now had four girls with bats coming for his life. He needed a safe space, and he supposed the brotherhood might be worth his time. Perhaps there were decent boys to associate with. He approached the table, pushing his way to the front and sighing, sucking it up. "I want to sign up," he said, bluntly.

@Teddy Pirrip

Theodore snorted. He will wear him down. Eventually. Probably. "You know what? You're cute," he said as he grabbed the quill and signed his name. "I'll see you at the Common Room and at the meetings, Mr. President," he said as he walked away trying to decide if he should go for another club.

@Teddy Pirrip

Bailey was glad to see so many girls wanting to join the club, it gave her hope that they would have a fun year buoyed by the stream of new faces. “That’s right, just put your name on the sign up sheet and we’ll let you know when the first meeting is,” @Peregrine Piper. She then turned to the other first year who asked if she could join too, “Of course! Just put your name down, everyone’s welcome,” @Christa Langley An older girl, a very attractive older girl at that also asked to join and Bailey slid the sign up sheet over to her once the younger girls had finished. “Right here,” @Aurora Chase

Hugo knew that he needed to get down to theclub fair. he was the editor of the paper after all. but he was reading. and he had just got to a good bit. he would go down when he finished the page... okay, when he got to the break at the meddle of the next page... but there is only a couple of pages left of the chapter. he may as well finish it... but you cant leave me on that cliff hanger. he was halfway down the opposite side of thenext page when he realised the time. he had meant to be at the club fair five minutes ago. he put his book inits sleeve and placed it in his satchel before hurrying down to the club fair.
"Sorry I'm late; how has it been so far?" he asked Miranda as he slipped behind the stand. "it looks great by the way." he said.
It wasn't long until another couple of young students approached them. As Miranda turned to the girl he and started talking and he spole to the boy. "Yes you can join if you want to. you just need to put your name down." he said. "I'm hugo, and this is Miranda, we are the editors." he added not sure what else to say, it was the school paper, it didn't really need much explaining. he was actually rather glad miranda was there to e the extravert that they needed. "we have a few of our past editions it you were wanting to look at what we do" she said.

@Miranda Dawes @Aleja Morales

Teddy glanced a look at the name, Theodore, after he signed the member list. "No worries, see you later." No sooner had a younger boy arrived, Teddy knew him from playing Quidditch and was kind of surprised he wasn't already a member. "Sure Ignatius, just sign there." He said, handing him the quill and parchment to sign his name.
