Refereeing the duels was invigorating, and Kahurangi was enjoying what the students of Hogwarts had to show. She was a little upset to have flamed out so early after winning last year, but there wasn't any shame in losing to a former Auror, and she'd put up a decent fight in the process. She was a little achey from the exertion, rubbing her shoulders as she took her place for the next duel she was refereeing. "Alright, I want a nice clean fight from both of you, stay focused and give it your all. On my mark you may bow to your opponent and begin." She stepped back, glancing between the two duelists. "Begin!"

Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules here. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

One more duel. Emmanuel had always been the one to stand in Yuelia's way, so it felt somewhat poetic that he'd be the one to be her final hurdle. He didn't need to win in the way she did. And he clearly hadn't taken her mild threat seriously. Yuelia bowed politely, and decided to open with one of her favourites. "Levicorpus!"

Emmanuel had never had much luck in the duels, he liked doing them, but he had yet to have much success in winning them. It helped therefore that he didn't entirely mind. He bowed to Yuelia, whom he knew took it much more seriously than he did. He blocked her spell non-verbally, and then sent back an equally non-verbal, Stupefy.

Yuelia watched Emmanuel closely, as it seemed he was going for silent spells. She had to quickly cast a silent protego with less warning than she would have liked, then looked back with a toss of her hair. "Good. Then you won't be needing this. Langlock!"

Emmanuel just managed to block her spell though he wasn't sure if it would've hindered him too much. He then took just a moment to decide to throw back a silent diffindo, though the spell was a bit weaker than he might've liked

The problem was Yuelia wasn't used to the opponents casting silently, and she slipped and let one through. Her uniform gained a few fixable tears, and she winced as a few papercuts grazed her arms, but she didn't drop her wand. "How can the Head Boy be so consistently cruel?" She taunted, firing back a silent jelly-brain jinx.

Despite perhaps the fact that he'd thought the spell weak it did manage to him. He immediately felt terrible, especially given her reaction. He just about blocked the spell she sent his way, and went for a much kinder, but still non-verbal, slug vomiting curse.

Yuelia could really only do one spell non-verbally and wandless, and the latter was a bit shaky, but it was a good spell to be able to do as it was protego. She focused hard on doing that so the spell bounced off harmlessly and she wiped a small drop of blood from her cheek in a way she hoped looked intimidating. Yuelia angled her head up and pointed her wand at Emmanuel to cast a non-verbal tarantallegra. Was it the ideal spell to use? No, of course not. But it was another of her favourites.
