Killian might not have been able to duel when he was a kid - due to his giant genes, this was the next best thing. He did wonder how dueling was in Hogwarts New Zealand versus the dueling that was over in Durmstrang. Only time would tell. This duel, he was monitoring a couple of fourth years. He wondered what would come from them overall. "Choose opposite ends of the stage. When you are ready, bow to your opponent, and begin. Whoever wins will advance." Killian took a step back and folded his arms across his chest to witness the chaos.​

Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Please also remember site rules apply, including power/god modding. You can find the site rules here. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

Yuelia wasn't going to take her past wins for granted. She knew she was very good at what she was doing, but each year she had to be better than she had been. And try not to get too caught up in playing things up. She had to win, after all, she couldn't give her classmates too many chances. She knew she'd beaten Emmanuel before, but he was intelligent and for her to beat him, she simply had to be merciless. She bowed politely, steeling herself and quickly casting a jelly brain jinx. "Let's inhibit those wits of yours, hm?" It would take her a little bit longer to get to 'merciless', perhaps.

Emmanuel had really been hoping for someone else in his first duel. He just never really managed against Yuelia, it felt like she was just different when she was in this. He blocked her spell, and then tried to not let her words get to him as he cast the Conjunctivitis curse.

Yuelia wondered if Emmanuel was somewhat afraid of her. It didn't matter too much as she was surprised by the curse he sent back, stepping out of the way to just barely dodge it. Yuelia scowled. "Interesting. But no. Silencio."

Emmanuel was certainly a little afraid of Yuelia, but he was just trying to keep it together. He dodged out the way of her spell and then tried to cast back at her, "Furnunculus,"

If intimidation was going to help her chances of winning then she'd definitely keep playing it up. She'd taken some notes from watching Celia and now was trying to harness her duelling persona a bit better in order to improve her chances. She put up a shield charm quickly to stop herself from getting into a world of pain, and coldly glared at Emmanuel. "Your spell choice is rather cruel. That is no way to treat a lady. Confundo!"

Unfortunately for Emmanuel, Yuelia was in full flight. She loved this, loved the rush that dueling gave her. It made her feel alive when everything else felt so dull, numb even. "I said," she taunted, blocking his spell and taking a step to put some more power in her stance. "That you are being rude! So much for you being such a gentleman. Stupefy!" It was a very basic spell, but well practiced.
