Y44 Club Fair

Renata smiled reassuringly at the girl, though she paused when asked about the other clubs, tapping her chin in thought. "I think it depends what kinds of things you like to do?" she offered, a little uncertain. "If you like music or art, the Arts Club is a lot of fun, it's a nice creative space," as she felt like she should definitely talk it up a bit. "If you like to get outside and don't mind getting your hands dirty, the Wild Patch is a good option," she added. "Those are the ones I'm in as well, but there's also the Hogwarts Monthly if you want to do some writing and help out with the school paper, or the SDA if you want to duel!" Renata was not a duellist herself, but she didn't know what the girl might like and didn't want to prevent her from getting into a club that fit her. "You don't have to sign up to anything right now, but you also don't have to stick with a club if it doesn't end up being right for you. I think there's some unofficial clubs, and there's also house Quidditch if you wanted to give that a go!" She probably shouldn't have stayed in the arts club herself, not being much of an artist, but that was more of a wanting to support her friends thing than an actual improvement of her artistic abilities.

Marnie was mostly finished unpacking the decorations and boxes Sky had brought with her, busily fussing with arranging them while Sky did the important work of fielding the various sign-ups from new members. The booth was pretty busy and Marnie was happy to jump in an answer an easy question from one of the boys. "Nope, not at all though I mean why wouldn't you want to join if you want to use the room it means you probably want to do some sort of art and we do all sorts of arts but with other people I mean I definitely get wanting to work on a project yourself but you can do that any time if you join the club you can work with other people and get inspired PLUS it's a built in audience once you're finished and get to show it off right?" She explained excitedly, motioning to some of the finished pieces on the table. @Enoch Goldewyn
 
Veronica didn't love the idea of joint events with the brotherhood but she was sure it would be fine, boys weren't all bad after all. She took the quill and signed her name at the bottom of the sign up sheet. "Thanks, see you at the first meeting,"
 
Finishing off with his sign-up for the Brotherhood, Toby moved towards the other club he was interested in, clearing his throat as he smiled at the Head Girl. "I would like to sign up for the SDA as well," why wouldn't he want to be in a club about duelling? Of course it was a shame that first years could join the stupid duelling tournament, but he still wanted to be a part of the club that might actually help him get better with his wand. If he wanted to be a great wizard someday, then he knew he was going to have to work for it.

Dominic was a little late to the event, but he eventually made it. He had been too busy trying to find a secret room he had heard about, but there were so many rooms in the castle, he wasn't sure which one was the secret. When he remembered the club fair, he quickly sprinted his way down to the courtyard, catching his breath a little as he wandered around to have a look at all of the clubs. He stopped upon one that was simply for boys, and he figured this one would be good to join to help him make some new friends. He noticed a couple of other boys writing their name down, and quickly swooped in to write his own name without saying a word to the older boy on the other side of the table. He didn't have any questions, as it all sounded very self explanatory, and was just eager to join.

Celia watched in mild amusement as Enoch hurried off. Then the other first year who had tried out for the team showed up. She nodded. "Sure, just put your name down there," she said, pointing to the sign-up sheet. "I'll send out an owl with the date and time of the first meeting." As Toby signed his name, Celia idly wondered if she could orchestrate a duel between him and Enoch. She knew she would've been pissed if she had tried out for the team and lost out to Ivelisse or another roommate.

Kit wanted to make friends, so she looked over the list of the groups, she wasn't sure about the girl's club as it would be nice to have boy friends as well and not just girls. She had a few interests of her own and she thought about the plant club but it didn't suit her all that well. She was a bit artsy, at least she thought she was but she didn't want to limit herself just to the art club seeing another student go up who had the clear look of someone who'd paint all day. Accio was the yearbook creator, the one that had taken their photos around the first day of school. That sounded like something she could do, her mother had let her help make scrapbooks in the past from when they took trips, getting the photos printed out and adding little designs around them. She wondered if she'd be able to join that club. Walking up she noticed an older guy student who seemed maybe a bit like he didn't want to talk but she jumped right in front of him to grab his attention. "Hey! I like scrapbooking with photos we've taken on trips, is that anything like making the yearbook? I could probably take photos as well but someone would have to teach me how, I'm also short so that's probably something for a taller person like yourself to do." Kit went on a bit as she tried to grab the attention of @Eugene Nestor .
 
Teddy swiftly signed his name for SDA and proceeded to the Brotherhood of Magic stall. Although not the most popular stall, Teddy couldn't help but notice that the majority of attendees were female and the few males in attendance were signing up for the Brotherhood. "Is the Brotherhood worth joining?" He asked the older boy at the stall. Although Teddy's eagerness to join outweighed any concerns, he still sought insight about what the group actually did.

Jingyi was quite surprise he wasn't getting that many new sign ups. Maybe there was some rumour about him going around putting people off. Thankfully, though, two other boys came up once the other two had left and Jingyi offered a smile and a small nod of his head. The first one didn't even ask any questions, just putting his name on the list. The second was asking if it was worth it. "If you want to just hang around with a bunch of older boys and chill out, then sure. We've also got some stuff planned with the Sisterhood this year, so that's something to look forward to."

The mention of hanging out with older boys and chilling out sparked his interest. It sounded like an opportunity for socialising and hopefully fun. Teddy flashed a smile when Jingyi mentioned the Sisterhood. He hadn't expected that the Brotherhood of Magic had connections with them. "Even better!" He replied, "Okay count me in." He grabbed the quill to sign his name.

Angel decided to check out the club fair, seeing as it would be interesting to see what clubs she could join. She passed by the plant club, and the brotherhood, made a subtle face when she passed by the heta omega. She understood their purpose but she did not think it was a good fit for her. She spotted the newsletter club and wondered if she had the patience long enough to finish an article. Then, she found it and made a beeline for it."Is there room for one more?", she asked @Niamh Eriksen after waving hello to the group already formed at the booth.
 
Objectively, Milo knew there was only one school activity he was actually interested in, but since it seemed like the chances of a first year, even an amazing Quidditch buff and flyer like him, of getting onto the Gryffindor were slim to none, it couldn't hurt for him to find something to keep him busy in the meantime.

Hearing Marnie's voice at one of the stalls however, Milo immediately ducked away, winding his way through the crowd for awhile until he was sure she wasn't going to call out to him. She knew better than to try and drag him into her art club stuff by now, but he'd rather not risk it. He ended up by the school paper's table though and spent a moment pensively browsing a few articles. Milo didn't consider himself a writer per se, but he definitely had a lot of thoughts and opinions. And if the paper could let him share said opinions, especially about Quidditch then.. Well. "I'm signing up," he announced to the girl at the table, jotting his name down and bouncing before Marnie saw what he was doing and had something to say about it. @Giulia Alcott
 
It was something of a relief that the Monthly booth was quieter than the others seemed to be, though Giulia felt her nerves jump immediately when a young boy approached. Before she could even think of anything to say he had signed and left, and all she could do was blink after him in confusion. Glancing down at the name, she quickly realised this had to be Marnie's brother. Well, that explained it. @Milo Frogg
 
Sky watched the younger hufflepuff write her name and smiled as she said goodbye. "See you Marley. have a nice day" she said waving as the girl left. it wasn't long before another girl came to the table and asked in they could join or if they were full "no the more the better. just sign your name house and year on the list so we can contact you" she said it was always nice to have new members join especially older students who may not have felt like they could join earlier but now felt like they were welcome.
next to join the table was a boy. asking if he needed to be a member of the club to use the room. Marnie got to the answer before she could so she let her go as she turned to the slytherin from before who had signed her name and left she waved "see you around, umm, Gemma" she said glancing down at the paper to get her name. her space was quickly filled by a Gryffindor who had joined the crowd that was building around her table. "Yes this is the arts club. I am Sky one of the leaders and this is marnie" she said gesturing to marnie who had just finished listing the benefits of the club to the boy. she glad that the younger girl had joined in to help and she hoped the boy wasn't too put off by her speech. everyone is welcome to use the room if you are a member or not. if you want to sign up later you can do. but you don't have to join or show your work if you don't want to" she said. it was arts. everything went. she had always thought of the arts room as a safe space. somewhere anyone could go just to be. no pressure no questions, and she wanted to keep that the main focus for the club and the room.
she turned her attention ot a girl who had filled the space vacated by the Slytherin. and smiled. "there is always room. arts are for everyone who wants to join. you just need to add your name to the list" she said.
