Y43 Hufflepuff Practice S2

Rene was glad to be able to keep the seekers clear right but it was still impressive to watch Chase knocking bludgers around.
 
Felix kept flying.
 
Renata had had some fun flying around and Leo had managed to get the quaffle and score before she could try and get the quaffle back. Renata laughed, grabbing the quaffle herself and tossing it between her hands.
 
It was good seeing the team playing more aggressively today, they'd need a bit of an edge if they were gonna take the cup Rene reminded himself, his stomach doing a flip at the thought.
 
Renata decided to switch things up a bit and quickly doubled back to the same goals that Leo had just shot at, ducking to the right and managing to score. Maybe it was a bit mean to the keepers but they'd need to be on their toes. So to speak.
 
No snitch was spotted anywhere.
 
Zag just wasn't having a very good practice, unable to concentrate and mind all over the place a little bit.
 
Renata felt a little mean for pulling a stunt like that on Zagreus, and decided to slowly head back towards Veronique after taking the quaffle, weaving around in order to give the other chasers the chance to steal or be passed to.
 
Felix was starting to think his bad luck from last practice was following him still. At least the game had worked out. So maybe it was good sign.
 
Maybe Renata was a little too caught up in trying to fly a little wild and have some fun, but she did not manage to get the quaffle past Veronique.
 
Chase headed for another bludger.
 
After Renata's attempt on goal Leo surged forward and caught the quaffle as it was tossed back out and began to circle back to the hoops.
 
Chase swung at the bludger but missed.
 
Zagreus tried to concentrate as Leo took the quaffle, at least wanting to make an attempt at stoping another shot if he happened to head his way.
 
Chase dodged a bludger and then turned around to see if he could hit it.
 
Veronique thought she was paying attention but quickly hit by a bludger, pushing her away from the hoops as she lost control of her broom. Once she came to a stop, she winced and made her way, seeing the chasers score twice on Zag. It made her thankful they hadn't ganged up on her, but she saw Renata coming back towards her and checked the quaffle with her shoulder so it fell.Going down, the quaffle almost hit the ground, but Veronique caught it in time and threw it back out.
 
Felix kept looking.
 
"Way to throw your body into it, Veronique!" Rene called when he saw she managed to block Renata's goal, right after taking a bludger too. Falling back from where he was following Felix, Rene switched to marking Penelope for awhile, trying to match her flying style.
 
Zag shook his head, trying to wake himself up as he hovered in front of the hoops.
 
Rene turned quickly when he saw a bludger out of the corner of his eye, managing to knock it clear of Penelope just in time. He hadn't had much time to aim though and winced in sympathy as it hit @Finley Holmes by accident.

Leo failed to score as he tossed the quaffle.
 
Penny kept flying around.
 
Rene looped under Penelope as she flew, pulling up and knocking a bludger that had passed too close, sending it straight towards @Chase Campbell again before twirling his bat in challenge at his other beater.

Felix was a little lonely now that he saw Rene fly over to Penelope instead. But he maintained his focus and kept looking for the snitch.
 
Rene drifted back from Penelope, checking around the pitch for a moment. He was feeling good about his defense so far though it would be different when there were two beaters gunning for their seeker. "Shall we both switch to offense? Put the seekers through their paces?" He called to Chase, keen to try and work together with Chase to get some hits in.
