Y42 S1 Ravenclaw Practice

Sutton swung hard as the bludger came her way. She watched as it soared towards the new alternate seeker, cringing as the bludger made contact with the new girl. That was not Sutton's intention. At least the bludger had hit someone though. She called an apology towards the girl before flying to find another bludger to aim.

@Lillian Morrow

1x Xiuying Huang
1x Sawyer Carnahan
1X Lillian Morrow

A budger came her way and Lily hadn't expected it to hurt this much. She winched in pain, but she didn't want to let it show too long. She needed to keep up with the team. Lily shot a smile when the girl apologized, but then moved on.

Sawyer was off to a rough start, taking a bludger from Valeria and missing his first two saves. He wanted to chalk it up to the slight rain but frankly he was probably just rusty, trying to shake off the ache as he managed to grab Rory's first attempt on goal before throwing it back out to Branson. "You good, Lillian?" He called, seeing one of their new second years take a nasty hit. At least it was good to see the beaters and chasers both getting in some good work already.

Branson threw the ball hard when he got close to the hoops and was very pleased when he managed to score again.

Valeria spotted another bludger and hit it hard, ending up hitting the seeker, which while she was sorry that she'd hit someone, was glad too.
@Hamish Reid
1x Xiuying Huang
1x Sawyer Carnahan
1X Lillian Morrow
1x Hamish Reid

Hamish winced when he got hit, but he pushed on anyway, determined to catch the snitch.

"You're killing me, Branson," Sawyer said with a groan as his fingers just missed Branson's shot on goal and he had to do the scoop of shame to grab the quaffle and get back into the game.

Sutton felt terrible but was happy that the younger girl seemed to shake off the hit. Maybe Sutton was still in her head, because as the bludger came towards her again, she hit it into a completely open area of the Quidditch Pitch.

Valeria failed to hit the next bludger she was aiming for.

Sutton saw the bludger coming closer and closer to her. She was ready. She aimed towards one of the chasers, hitting it hard but also making sure to think about where it would fly. This seemed to work as the bludger hit @Branson Archer

1x Xiuying Huang
1x Sawyer Carnahan
1X Lillian Morrow
1x Hamish Reid
1x Branson Archer

Michael sighed as he missed another bludger. Maybe his interest in the sport made him appear far more competent than he actually was? He looked at Sawyer with a shrug. "You good, old man?" He teased. "Least you can use the hair as an excuse."

Sawyer steadied himself on his broom near the center hoop, watching as the beaters seemed to continue on their little hot streak, quietly glad it was staying further away from him now. "I've learnt enough in my many years to not antagonize the people with the beater's bats," Sawyer said sagely as Michael flew by to tease him. "The green hair is camouflage. I'm blending in with the pitch," he said, shifting his broom slightly to keep an eye on the quaffle.

Okay, but like, this was just kind of embarrassing, though, and he hoped no one was watching.

Hamish continued his search.

Sawyer was always watching, keeping a close eye on the quaffle and the players, hiding a smile as Michael went through the familiar struggles of mastering a new position.

Michael hit a bludger at nothing.

Sawyer ran a hand through his hair, sure it was probably sticking up at weird angles now as he kept an eye on the rest of the team.

Michael sort of hit the bludger with the edge of his bat and it spun off to nowhere.

Hamish kept searching.

Michael swung and missed. :(

Lily nodded when the Captain asked if she was okay. She was sure it was going to be a big bruise after, but she knew that was one of the things that came with Quidditch. It was dangerous, people had died in the past. The Snitch wasn't going to be found easily and she still was looking around for the golden ball.

Xiuying got a hold of the quaffle when it was thrown back in, circling her way towards the hoops.

When Xiuying was close enough to the hoops, she threw the quaffle towards the hoops, and smiled happily when the shot had made it through the hoops yet again.

Michael pretended he was just stretching and not trying to hit a bludger as he did not come anywhere close to hitting one.
