Y42 Graduation Ceremony: Guests

Even if Harper had sort of promised Chloë she would be inviting her to graduation she still had been surprised when the invitation actually landed on her doorstep. Surely, Harper had more important people to invite than her? Nevertheless, she had been happy to receive the invitation. Especially since she hadn't specifically thought she'd be back at school so quickly. At least not for another year, untill Zay graduated. If he even graduated. Chloë made her way into the hall and glanced around to find a seat, which was easier said than done. The hall was crowded and although she noticed a few familiar faces she decided to just sit to the side rather than having to get people to stand up so she could pass and sit with someone she knew. There wasn't much room for chatting during the ceremony anyways. She glanced up when the new Headmaster took the stage and clapped politely when the Head- boy and girl made their speeches. It felt like yesterday when she had been up there, trying to do some damage control after everything that had happened that year. Giving a speech for both of them since Connor had been a bit of a mess. Not that she could ever blame him for that. Chloë clapped as the graduates took the stage one by one, making sure to whoop loudly when it was Harper's turn and clapping as loudly as her brother had done for her back then.

Lena was beginning to enjoy graduation more from the perspective that she finally knew some of the students walking across the stage. However, with recent life events, it was such a big to-do with having to get a sitter for the girls and make all those arrangements, as her mum was out of town. But no matter - she was here and was going to support all the students as they walked across the stage. She knew there were always some who didn't have family in the crowd, or at least, didn't have supportive family for whatever reason. The whole concept made her sad. As a mother, she couldn't imagine not being supportive of her child for something they couldn't control. She made sure to clap after each speech and for each student, whether she had them or not. That's what she hoped others would do for her girls one day if she was not there.

Angel was aware he couldn't exactly take credit for how well his students did, at least not all of it, but it didn't stop him from being exceptionally proud and rather smug as yet another Slytherin head student was set to take the podium today. At least until Liusaidh started booing. Leaning back, Angel decided regardless of how proud he was feeling about some of his students, he might not miss all of them equally after they had left. Though it would certainly be a lot quieter without some of them next year.

Evie had never been to a graduation ceremony before. There were a lot of people there, and a lot of them Evie didn't even know and hadn't seen before. The teen sat with her father in amongst the guests, yawning a little as the ceremony started and the professor began talking. Then it was the head people's turn to talk before finally everyone was to get their diplomas. When Estella walked on stage Evie rolled her eyes a little as she bowed, and then finally the ceremony ended once everyone else had been called. The next ceremony she would attend would be her own, and the thought of that was scary, but at least now that Essie was gone, she had a few years to herself.

When James stepped foot into the Great Hall, it was much like the last time he was there. He took a seat in amongst all of the other guests, smiling over at Daina when he caught her eye in the crowd of the graduates. James didn't know either of the Headpeople, but he enjoyed both of their speeches before everyone started getting called up to collect their diplomas. The man clapped for Daina as she took hers, happy that yet another family member had graduated.

The graduation at the end of the year was always the hardest moment for Landon. He had watched everyone grow up quickly, and now they were here about to set off for the adventures that lay ahead. While none of his students were Head People, he was happy for them both and thought they did quite well with their speeches. As one of the Slytherins booed them, Landon glanced over to Castillo and frowned a little. He was sure that would've been quite embarrassing for the man. As everyone went up to collect their diplomas, Landon clapped loudly, beaming at his students who he was always very proud of. It was emotional to see them leaving, but he was sure good things lay ahead for them all.
