Sawyer could already feel the sweat starting to drip down his back of his robes and he knew he could only partly blame it on the linger Summer sun beating down on their backs. He'd be the first to admit Ravenclaw's quidditch season had gotten off to a rocky start but after a lot of stressing and maybe some crying over the holiday break and a little enthusiasm from Michael, he was convinced maybe they could still turn it around. "Alright guys, I know it's hot so uh, drink some water and stuff, we've got a lot to work on. Chasers especially, you're going to be vital for this last game; if we can score enough points before the snitch catch, that's a guaranteed second place. And beaters, I want you to really focus on defense, keep Sefina and Hamish safe so we have enough time to score," he said, screening the sun from his eyes with his arm as he addressed the team. "Makes sense right?... Right?" He said after a beat, shaking his head and mounting his broom. "Anyway, serious about the water thing, let's go," he said, releasing the balls and tossing out the quaffle to begin practice.

OOCOut of Character:
No arrivals, just straight into it! Practice will run until our game starts on June 17th!

branson got on his broom and was able to snatch the quaffle as it was tossed up and he headed towards one set of hoops.

Valeria got on her broom and flew up into the air and began searching for bludgers.

Sawyer got settled at the hoops as Branson grabbed the quaffle, trying not to let how practice went psych him out too badly for the upcoming game.

Michael was keen for more Quidditch, looking forward to the next game even if they were out of contention for the cup. They were still playing for pride, at least, and could place pretty decently on the ladder. He mounted up, watching closely as one of the older chasers took possession. There was still a lot he could learn from the more experienced players.

Hamish arrived for practice and took off into the air, looking for the snitch.

Sawyer kept an eye on the chasers, pointedly not thinking about how Nikko would be the one at the opposite hoops for the game.

As soon as Branson got close enough to the hoops, he threw the ball and managed to get it in the centre hoop.

Valeria continued to look for a bludger or be sure to keep any bludgers away from the chasers.

Sawyer registered too late which hoop Branson was going for, squinting in the sun as he threw the quaffle back into play. "Good, that's good, more goals, right?" He said, reminding himself he wanted the chasers to score.

Seeing an opening and that nobody else was making any moves, Michael swooped in and went for the quaffle, moving around to try and take his own shot on goal.

Trying to position himself so the sun was out of his eyes, Sawyer was glad to see Michael hesitating less as he grabbed the quaffle.

Surprising himself, Michael managed to score by taking a quick shot on the far hoop. "Yeah, just giving us a confidence boost, right?"

When no one else moved in for a shot, Michael grabbed the quaffle again, hoping for a repeat.

Branson followed behind the young chaser as he grabbed the ball again.

Valeria was able to find a bludger to hit and sent it right towards the seeker.

@Hamish Reid

Michael attempted another shot on goal, but this one was blocked easily.

Hamish yelped when he was hit, but pressed on.

Sutton wasn’t sure how this semester of quidditch would go. She had been surprised at the quickness of her first game. Practice would be needed of course. Sutton swing her leg over her broom and began to fly around the pitch, looking for a bludger to hit.

Michael didn't exactly want to hog the quaffle but the team seemed a bit low energy and based on some mythological greater being known as timezones hypothetically it was optimal for him to go for the quaffle again at this exact point. You know, if you were in to those sorts of conspiracy theories.

Michael did not see anyone to pass to so he attempted to score and couldn't quite make it through. Oh well.

Sawyer gave Michael a snort of approval as he managed to get past him as well, wiping the sweat off his palms as Michael took the quaffle again. It was great to see the first year taking control of possession, though Sawyer was relieved to get his own head back into the game and start blocking some shots again. It was good for the chasers to be scoring a lot but he was distinctly aware that he needed to make sure Gryffindor didn't make any goals either.

Branson grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back out into play.

Valeria continued to look for bludgers to hit.
