Lucas would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous about the upcoming match against Slytherin. Their team was legendary, and Lucas couldn't help worrying that their win against Gryffindor had been a fluke. But he really wanted to win the cup, it was one of the few things Lucas still felt passionate about. He had called a new practice and was itching to get started. So when everyone arrived, Lucas unleashed the balls almost immediately. "Alright, let's get started. We have to get everything we can out of this practice. Slytherin is going down." He said with a grim nod. "Beaters, don't hold back." He added, before taking to the air.

OOCOut of Character:
No arrivals, just get started!

It was still pretty hot with Summer still lingering but René was still keen to get back on his broom. He missed Quidditch a lot over the break, more so since he knew the cup was on the line for them this year. He made sure to nod enthusiastically when Lucas addressed the team, advising the beaters to not hold back and René wanted to prove he could hit just as hard as Tilly. He kicked into the air, bat ready as he started looking for the bludgers.

Felix was ready for practice and didn't waste anytime getting into the air and looking for the snitch.

Circling the pitch, René testing the weight of his bat in his hand, leaning in close to his broom when he finally spotted one of the bludgers to chase after.

Felix kept looking around the pitch. It was hard to feel discouraged so early on in practice.

Renata was privately relieved to be practicing chaser over beater. She wasn't good at either, but at least she didn't feel as worried about upsetting people by hurting them this way. She grabbed the quaffle when nobody else did, heading towards one of the goals.

Gaining on the bludger, René took a panicked swing as it started to veer away, annoyed when it bludger barely wobbled off its course before continuing on harmlessly.

Felix kept looking for the snitch.

Renata gained on the hoops and took a shot when she was in a comfortable range. She beamed as the quaffle actually sailed through, glad for a confidence boost to start the session.

Jordie took to the air, smiling as Renata caught the ball. "You've got this!" He yelled to her, cheering when she scored. "You're getting slow, old man!" He yelled to Linden, catching the quaffle and starting around again. @Renata Stepanova @Linden Cullen

Felix let out a little cheer as Renata made a goal but quickly remember what he was supposed to be doing.

Linden headed to quidditch training his mind was elsewhere. He listened to Lucases introduction and really thought that he needed to talk to him. He really did. He took to the air and flew to the hoops. Before he knew it renata was there ball in her hand and he let her have a throw going slowly to the hoop le let it fly unhindered And was pleased when she scored. good shot he called. Before throwing the quaffle back I. Towards Jordie. ”nahh mate. It was just beginners luck he said. Watching as the ball moved back towards the other side of the pitch.
@Renata Stepanova @Jordan Harris

René watched the chasers for a moment, waiting for one of the bludgers to come around. He missed working closely as a team when he'd stopped playing chaser but privately he thought he must be a much better beater than he ever had a chaser. Maybe he'd have to ask Tilly what she thought.

Felix continued to look for the snitch but spared a glance at Lucas to see if he had had any luck.

Focusing back in on the bludgers, René grinned as his bat connected with the one he'd been tailing with a solid crack, sailing straight into @Felix Carnahan while he'd been looking the other way.

Lucas flew around, looking for the snitch.

René shook out his arm, feeling pretty good about managing a hit so early.

Jordie was successful in his attempt to score. He smiled, pleased, and looked around for Leo. @Leonardo Orr

Zagreus was nervous about their upcoming match, even if it was unlikely he was actually going to end up playing. But he still couldn't help thinking about it. He offered everyone a nervous-looking smile before taking to the air, letting out a long breath as he settled in front of his hoops.

When nobody else went for the quaffle right away, Renata flew in to grab it, heading down the other end of the pitch so she could give Zagreus some practice.

Tilly listened quietly as Lucas gave his brief speech. She agreed that everyone needed to give their best effort in practice. Slytherin was a good team, and they would be foolish to assume Hufflepuff was going to win easily. She kicked off into the air, advancing on the first bludger she saw. Tilly meant to send it towards Rene to keep him on his toes, but the bludger had a mind of its own. The iron ball clipped @Renata Stepanova instead.

x1 Felix
x1 Renata

Renata went to take a shot on goal when she got closer, but as she went to throw the bludger hit her arm, and she completely missed. "Sorry, I should've paid more attention," she quickly spluttered, turning to give Tilly a thumbs up. With the other arm.

Jordie flew in, catching the quaffle. He stopped a moment to make sure Renata was okay before heading back towards Linden, keeping an eye out for Leo.

René flinched when Tilly sent a bludger his way, quietly relieved when it veered off course and hit Renata at the last second instead. It was cheeky, but he couldn't resist chasing after it and returning the shot right into @Tilly Drage.

x1 Felix
x1 Renata
x1 Tilly

Felix didn't notice the bludger coming at him until it crashed into his arm because he was too busy staring at what looked like a flash of goal by the north hoops. He let out a strangled cry and glanced at Rene and tried to look pitiful and when he turned back the gold was still there so he did his best to suck up the pain and race after it. Thankfully his sore arm didn't slow him much and a second later he grabbed the snitch out of the air and held it up triumphantly before letting it fly away again.
