Édelie was glad to see her team starting to pick up with hits and techniques among the chasers. She kept a close eye on Amelie and Ares as she followed the younger boy back to the hoops.
Ares pushed on towards the hoops, determined more than ever to get a successful shot. When he came close enough, he threw the quaffle, aiming for the middle hoop, and beamed as it sailed right through.
Gemma was relieved to finally hit something and was feeling more confident. When she saw a bludger coming her way and swung her bat towards the new seeker. She felt bad hitting the other girl so soon but she was on the other "team" and it was what she was supposed to do. But she would consider aiming elsewhere next time she got a shot. @Amelie Derouin
Amelie didn't even see the other bludger coming until it hit her other side. She cried out, startled, and stopped where she was for a few moments, clutching her ribs and trying to catch her breath.
Édelie saw Amelie get hit again and winced, trying to figure out an easy solution. "Hey beaters! Why don't you switch teams to give some folks a break?" she called out to them, catching the quaffle as it was thrown back in.
Gemma shrugged as Edelie told them to switch teams. She shot Hugo a look and shrugged. "Watch out." she warned before she flew over to Amelie. She gave the girl an apologetic look and looked out for any bludgers heading their way.
Amelie was starting to think maybe her first catch really was just beginners luck. She wasn't about to give up yet, and pressed on, determined as ever to find the snitch.
Gemma spotted a bludger coming their way and raced out to hit it. She tried to aim it at Hugo but was off and missed him by a wide margin. She swore under her breath, feeling frustrated.
Practice had been frustrating for Hugo, as he hadn't even seen the snitch. But at least he had been spared bludger hits, unlike his rival. But that was probably about to change, he just hoped he could at least catch the snitch before he got hit.
Aramis had zoned out for a moment, blocking a few shots but missing Ares' next shot. He never knew if he should be impressed or disappointed when he couldn't make a save, but he figured it boded well for their new chaser either way. Grabbing the quaffle, Aramis threw it back out and watched Gaby catch it and do a loop of the pitch.
Amelie noticed Hugo on her tail, and it was glancing back to him that she saw it. Without a word she turned and zipped past him, grabbing the snitch before she could reach him. She flew over to him, smiling and offering the snitch out to him with a playful grin.
Gemma spotted one of the bludgers out of the corner of her eye and raced after it. She managed to hit it but it went wide and missed her target completely.
Aramis watched Hugo and Amelie zipping across the field. He was tired just watching them, but was surprise that Amelie had managed to catch the snitch a second time. Realizing Gaby was heading his way though, Aramis had to start focusing back on his own job now.
