Y37 Ravenclaw Practice One

Eyes trained on Hattie, Sawyer was a little nervous when he spotted one of the twins was also flying nearby. Now he had to decide if they were going to pass or not. If he tried to cover a pass and guessed wrong, Hattie had an easy shot, but if he didn't, then the twin did as well. Unsure where to move, Sawyer held still, hoping he could move fast enough when someone took a shot either way.

Hattie pushed on with the quaffle under her arm, glad that Teodora was flying beside her in case she needed it. But Hattie wanted to do this on her own more than ever, and so kept flying towards Sawyer, trying to judge when would be a good time to try to shoot.

Teodora continued to fly beside Hattie just so they could confuse Sawyer a bit longer.

Sawyer was starting to sweat trying to keep track of both chasers. It would be so easy for them to pass and get past him. He started shifting his broom sideways, trying to take up as much real estate in front of the hoops as possible as if that might help.

Lars blocked Ajax' shot and threw the quaffle back into play. He saw Hattie took the quaffle and headed in the other direction. He was curious how this would go, as it seemed like the chasers had some sort of strategy.

Ajaccio flew behind hattie who had the ball.

Minnie wasn't having much luck anymore, after managing to catch the snitch quickly she was now not enjoying much success. But she just had to keep going. Not let it get to her.

When Hattie got close enough, she aimed for the far right hoop and sighed as Sawyer had caught it yet again. It was frustrating, but Hattie had to admit that the alternate was good. She waited for him to throw the quaffle back out.

Chloe was ready to block any incoming bludgers, noticing that two more chasers were following alongside Hattie. She flew next to them, and sighed when no bludger headed their way, she really wanted to improve her skills and aim.

Thalia had been watching the progress of the game, everything seemed to be happening very fast and it was a little difficult trying to keep up. She beamed when her sister got the quaffle and tried to score. Thalia wanted to be that confident. She decided to fly next to the other chasers in case they wanted to pass to her, and when Hattie tried to score, it was blocked by the alternate keeper, which impressed Thalia. She waited for the quaffle to be thrown back into play, itching to have a go.

Teodora caught the quaffle when it was tossed back into play and grinned as she flew past her sister who had been waiting for it, too. ''Got to be faster, Thalia,'' she said in passing, flying towards Lars again.

Lars saw one of the twins grabbed the quaffle before the other could, then she headed in his direction. Lars got ready to block the shot.

Juniper was hanging out near the goal posts when she saw a bludger headed towards Lars. She flew in front and hit it towards the twin who currently had the quaffle, hopefully prohibiting her from scoring.

@Teodora Pourroulis

Teodora was about to come in scoring range when a sharp pain in the back made her drop the Quaffle for the second time today. Getting hit by a bludger definitely hurt a lot more than she thought it would.

Sawyer was still glancing between the two chasers when they approached, making the decision that they weren't going to pass and sticking to blocking Hattie. He was relieved when his guess had been right, enjoying the satisfying feeling of being able to snag the quaffle out of the air. He threw it back out to one of the twins, relieved that he'd have a break as they headed off to the opposite hoops.

Juniper continued flying around the pitch looking for more opportunities to take a hit at a bludger. She needed to get more practice in for their real games.

Sawyer realized with a start that the twin with the quaffle had been hit by a bludger, watching with concern as she dropped the quaffle.

Hattie watched as one of the twins caught the quaffle and began heading in the other direction. She flew on her tail and winced as a bludger came soaring towards the girl and hit her, allowing Hattie to steal the quaffle as she dropped it. With the quaffle tucked under her arm, Hattie headed for Sawyer again, part of her hoping that the girl would be okay.

As bad as Sawyer felt for the twin that got hit (maybe they should ask them to wear coloured headbands or something next practice), he had to focus on protecting the goals again as Hattie came back his way.

As soon as Hattie got close enough, she let go of the quaffle, but groaned as it had just been caught again. She was definitely starting to get frustrated.

Sawyer felt like he was starting to get the hang of this. It was still nerve-wracking to star down an oncoming chaser, but when there was just one, he was getting better at guessing where they were going to aim. His reaction time was still a bit sloppy though, and he only just managed to get his hands on the quaffle after Hattie took her shot, throwing it back out to the waiting chasers.

Teodora was a little annoyed that she had managed to drop the quaffle when she got hit by that bludger, but grabbed it when Sawyer threw it back to them. She was glad Hattie missed her chance after she dropped the ball, as it should have been her attempting to score. Not to worry though, she had another chance coming up. With the quaffle tucked underneath her arm, Teodora flew towards Lars again.

Minnie was continuing to look for the snitch with limited success in her case, she'd only found it the once so far.

Once Teodora was sure that she could score from the distance she was at, she threw the ball as hard as she could towards the left hoop. Lars caught it, however, and she only got more annoyed that she hadn't scored a goal yet.

Sawyer was relieved to have a little break as one of the twins took the quaffle down to the other end of the pitch. It looked like Lars was able to block the shot though, so he knew it was only a matter of time before the chasers were potentially back at this end.
