Y37 Ravenclaw Practice One

After watching Hattie get hit twice, Sawyer had zero interest in going anywhere near a bludger. He knew it was all part of the game, and had even cheered a few times, keeping track of various bludger hits when he'd watched games from the stands. On the pitch though, it was a lot less entertaining. He was glad when Hattie actually caught the quaffle as he threw it in, hoping she'd have better luck scoring than dodging.

Juniper was glad Hattie seemed okay but still felt bad for the double bludgers. She kept an eye to make sure no bludgers went after the girl when she noticed one flying towards Hattie. She dove towards the Ravenclaw to attempt to hit it out of the way but missed. Thankfully, the bludger flew past Hattie. Juniper let it go do its bludger thing as she kept closer to the chasers.

With the quaffle moving away from him for the moment, and the bludgers staying busy with the rest of the team, Sawyer spared a moment to just enjoy being in the air, drifting again around the left hoop as he watched the chasers.

Lily nodded thankfully at Minnie and set off higher, she wanted to get the snitch first. She hover around every now and again to look for any sign of gold. But she couldn't help but be distracted by the game below. She knew bludgers were hit towards seekers too, which made her shiver at the thought of getting hit by one.

Ajaccio followed in behind Hattie as she had the quaffle and hoped that she might have better luck than him, but she had been hit with two bludgers. Which couldn't be easy.

Minnie pushed herself faster and spotted the snitch, she was quick to push and caught up with it and then managed to quickly catch it. There was visible relief when she had it in her hand. She smiled and made sure to stop for a moment, she let the snitch go would take a moment to just watch the practice and see how everyone else was doing before getting back to it.

Lily noticed that Minnie had succeeded in catching the snitch, before Lily had even spotted it, disappointed in herself she watched as Minnie let go of the little golden ball took a moment to watch the game and set off around and around the pitch to catch sight of the snitch

Juniper was following a few players when she noticed Minnie catch the snitch. It was exciting to see her teammates be successful, and she felt reinvigorated as she continued searching for bludgers.

Watching the game continue, Sawyer watch Minnie shoot off, amazed she'd already managed to catch the snitch. If they could do that in a match they'd have no problem winning.

Juniper was not having much luck hitting a bludger this practice, except for the hit at Hattie. She hoped she'd be able to catch one soon and kept an eye out as she flew around the pitch.

Lily stared around over the pitch, and just as she started flying toward one of the goal posts to look for the snitch, a golden flutter caught her eye. Immediately she spun around and chased after the snitch bit it took an unsuspected turn and Lily lost sight of it.

Teodora flew towards the other side of Hattie, however, she didn't offer her support like Ajaccio because she stole the quaffle from the older girl. Turning back on the spot, she flew towards the new alternate keeper as fast as she could, hoping that perhaps she could get a goal out of the steal.

Sawyer's attention had been drifting again when he saw movement down the pitch. It looked like Hattie had had the quaffle stolen and now one of the chasers, one of the twins he wasn't sure which, was heading towards him. Straightening up, Sawyer moved to the middle hoop, hoping to block her shot.

Minnie watched as Teodora managed to get the quaffle from Hattie and ocntinued towards the goals. Considering that Hattie had been hit twice with bludgers she was sure that the girl was having some problems with catching and keeping the ball. She didn't envy her. But with everything running smoothly she continued in search of the snitch. She could catch it again.

When Teodora caught the ball he flew in behind her and knew he could help her if she needed it, but more than sure that she would manage to score if she tried.

Juniper watched as the chasers continued working with the quaffle and tried to take a hit at another bludger, missing. It seemed to be a lot harder for her to hit today in tryouts, but she went after trying to catch up.

With Ajaccio now flying next to her, Teodora flew over towards the goal hoops with a certain determination to at least score one goal today. Her first attempt would not be it, however. She watched her attempt go wide and pouted, turning around to fly away a bit.

Ajax grabbed the quaffle first and headed to the hoops, but not the ones Lars was guarding. Lars was pleasantly surprised to see the new kid block the shot, and gave him a thumbs up he probably couldn't see from this distance. He winced when Hattie was hit, twice. He hoped she was doing okay. It would be terrible to get a player harmed in a practice, and Lars hoped the beaters would focus on protecting her now. He was then distracted when he saw Minnie grab the snitch, and smiled. She really was an amazing seeker. Teodora or Thalia then grabbed the quaffle, turning around to score at the hoops Sawyer was blocking. Her shot missed, and Lars waited to see who would grab the quaffle next.

Sawyer was tense as the chaser approached, braced to dart left or right depending on where she threw. He managed to guess correctly this time, diving for the quaffle even though the shot went wide without his help, so he was feeling pretty good as he threw it back in to the awaiting chasers.

Juniper happened to be near Minnie when she saw a bludger coming towards her. Swatting it away, it went off course and hit Lars. She winced and flew towards him, chasing after the bludger once it shot in another direction.

The quaffle back in play, Sawyer watched as Juniper managed to hit Lars with a bludger while defending Minnie, flinching at the impact. Resolute to stay a bit more focused on the bludgers when the chasers weren't about to score, Sawyer mentally adjusted his previous estimate about how often keepers got hit.

Still close enough to grab the quaffle when it was thrown back in play again, Teodora tucked it underneath her arm and flew towards Lars next.

Sawyer was almost tempted to ask which twin had caught the quaffle when he threw it back in, but she was already on her way across the pitch. He'd have to make the effort to remember the number on the back of their robes later.

Once again Lily lost a little focus when she watched the game progress, it was a bit scary to see Hattie get hit twice , and thinking that in the real games quaffels would probably be directed towards seekers. As she watched the game the snitch was visible very close to the ground. Lily dived down and chased it around

Hattie was a little bit disappointed that the quaffle had been taken off her, but she stopped and turned around as soon as it was, watching as the quaffle thankfully didn't make it through the hoop. The same girl took the quaffle again and Hattie was yet again on her tail, itching to steal it off her.
