Y37 Ravenclaw Practice One

Sawyer had to admit he was getting tired just watching the other players. He could feel the telltale burn of the muscles in his legs and arms, but he imagined it was nothing on what some of the other positions had to be feeling by now.

Once Teodora was close enough to Lars that she could attempt a shot, she quickly decided which hoop she'd go for. It did, however, not go as she wanted it to go. The quaffle had slipped from her grasp when she tried to take a shot which resulted in Lars being able to grab it rather easily.

Hattie was so close to intercepting, she just knew it, but before she was able to do so the quaffle had been thrown and the Ravenclaw held her breath as she watched it go. Fortunately, it didn't get through and so Hattie was easily able to catch the quaffle once it was thrown back into play and headed for Sawyer in the other direction.

It was hard to see from this end of the pitch, but judging by Lars movement, it looked like he'd been able to block the shot. Hattie had the quaffle again now and Sawyer straightened up and got ready as she headed his way.

Minnie continued in search of the snitch. She was a little frustrated by the lack of scoring but it was still a new practice and after a long break everyone would be a little out of practice. It would pick up soon she was sure. She just continued to look for the snitch.

Ajaccio was flying up and down the pitch, keen to get another shot at scoring, but also there to support who had the ball, which at that point was hattie.

Lars was busy watching the chasers, when he was suddenly hit by a bludger out of nowhere. He grunted, gripping his broom tightly so he wouldn't fall off. He knew it was part of this, but was never sure if he would get used to the sensation. One of the twins then came his way, and he tried to focus on that. Thankfully, she fumbled her shot, making it an easy save for him despite the pain of the bludger. Lars threw the quaffle back into play.

Hattie pushed on, flying as fast as she could so no one could catch up to her. When she made it close enough, she attempted to throw it in the hoop but failed as Sawyer easily caught it. Sighing, Hattie just waited until it was thrown back out.

Chloe had been watching some of the action whilst also looking out for bludgers. She decided to stick to a player this time but before she could decide she noticed a bludger and sped towards it, however she narrowly missed it. She cursed under her breath, willing to do better next time.

Lily still chased after the snitch, but just a little too far to reach for it, however she kept on pushing her Firebolt forward in hope to close in on the fluttering ball

Ajaccio caught the ball as it was thrown back out and headed in the opposite direction towards Lars. He was hopeful he wouldn't miss this time around.

Minnie continued in her pursuit of the snitch, still having little success in finding it again.

Teodora followed Ajaccio when he caught the quaffle, ready to assist him if he wanted to pass it to her instead.

Juniper felt bad for hitting Lars, but unfortunately, it was the part of the game sometimes. She continued chasing after bludgers, not really coming near enough to one to get a good hit in.

Lars saw Ajax approach with the quaffle, supported by one of the twins. He readied himself to block the shot, focusing only on the two approaching chasers.

Juniper got distracted by the chasers as Ajax took the quaffle and then realized she should be looking for bludgers. She continued crossing the pitch, hoping to redeem herself from hitting her teammates, specifically Hattie.

As soon as Ajax was close enough he threw the ball and was disappointed when he missed. Hopefully he'd have better luck next time.

Minnie was really hoping the chasers would have more luck but it wasn't turning out like that. She just had to focus herself, get the snitch again.

Sawyer knew Hattie had to be hurting a bit after those bludger hits, so he wondered if that helped make her movements easier to read. He was thrilled either way when he caught the quaffle squaring this time, tossing it a little in his hands in triumph before throwing it back out to Ajaccio and watching as he headed across the pitch with it to try and score against Lars.

And ons and on Lily kept chasing the snitch through the other players surprised that Minnie hadn't followed her to it

Juniper watched as one of the younger players caught the quaffle as a chaser tried to score. The practice seemed to be going okay, and so far, no one else had been injured by a rogue bludger. She continued keeping an eye as she flew around the pitch.

Sawyer hated that it was so hard to tell what was happening at the other end of the pitch, though it looked like Ajaccio might have missed. That meant the quaffle would likely be heading his way again soon, so Sawyer tried to look ready.

Hattie watched as the quaffle was thrown to Ajaccio, and beamed slightly when it didn't make it through. She knew that they were meant to be a team however and so a part of her was also a little disappointed, hoping that the actual game would go so much better than this. The Ravenclaw took the quaffle once it was thrown back out, heading back towards Sawyer again with it tucked under her arm, trying not to think about the throbbing pain in her side from the bludgers.

Hattie had the quaffle now and Sawyer tried to center himself between the hoops, hoping he could correctly guess which one she was going to aim for as she got closer.

Ready to assist Hattie too, Teodora followed the other girl as they crossed the pitch towards Sawyer.
