Austin had been dreading the stat of the new semester, it didn't feel right being at Hogwarts without Geo, it especially didn't feel right captaining the Hufflepuff team when she was no longer on it with him. Austin walked out onto the Quidditch pitch ready to start the try outs for another year. He was hoping for an improvement on the following year, Austin desperately wanted to win a championship as captain before he graduated. With a couple of spots to fill maybe this was the chance to overhaul the team and bring in fresh blood. Once a group had assembled ready to try out Austin turned to greet them. "Welcome to this years try outs, welcome back to the returning players and new hopefuls I wish you luck, please state your name and position you're trying out for and lets get to it,"

April was eager for the Quidditch season to start again. She arrived bright and early to the tryouts, giving Austin a big smile. She was sad Geo had left, and had been confused about that as well. But she tried not to focus on that right now. It was important that they got a good team together, and April wanted to do her best to help with that. She gave the group of people trying out a big thumbs up, wishing them luck silently.

Aonghas had thought about trying out in the year before, but decided against it in the end. Opting instead to try out as a second year without needing to tell the captain and get permission. He was sure his name would’ve gotten him a try-out between his brother having been on another team, and from what he could see his half brother having led the team to victory, he could just try out but the hufflepuff had decided against it. Now, however, as a second year student and looking to get a whole lot more stuck into the school, the boy had decided to try out. He walked out to the pitch with his father’s old broom, he looked towards the captain of the team and listened as he gave a little speech about what was expected that day. Aonghas was eager and ready to get started. He wanted to do well, he needed to get on to the team. He was a fair player - or so he thought - fair enough that he figured he could get on to the team. At the very least he could be an alternate. That would be a fine place to start. When they were allowed to get started Aonghas stepped forward, ”Aye, hi, ah’m Aonghas Fergusson, tryin’ oot fae Chaser,” the boy said with a confident but focused tone.

Aonghas got on to the broom and shot up into the air, he was a fair flier, having learned to fly from a very young age, he’d played quidditch too, but never really properly. The boy began by flying around a bit, building some speed and getting accustomed to the broom. He knew that if he got on to the team his father would send him money to get a broom. Aonghas got started. He caught the ball as it was passed to him, and flew forward, getting close to the hoops and passed it to one of the other trying out chasers. He was pretty pleased to have managed to both catch and throw the ball well. He let the other person had a chance at scoring and got back into position. He flew forward and was able to grab the ball, this time, when he got close to the hoops he attempted to score, he missed but he was pleased to have gotten fairly close. He needed to work a little on his aim. The rest of the try-out he played relatively well, he managed to catch the ball on several occasions, passed it to others and a few attempts on goal, all in all pretty pleased with how he had managed by the end. He could tell that the thing he needed to work on was scoring, where he managed much better at catching and throwing, the aim for scoring was still a bit off. Aonghas was sure it would come with time, he just needed to work at it. He knew that he had done his best in the try-out, as he flew down to the ground and landed with practice ease. He was hopeful and willing to put in the necessary work for this.

Last year, Abian had been in over his head. He'd been going for a position that looked coolest, and only after flying a little bit in lessons. He hadn't been able to secure a beater spot on the team, and when he saw the other people trying out for the spot, Abian had understood. He had gone to all the Quidditch games last year, and had gone to the pitch a few times to practice with a regular ball. He'd figured out that playing chaser was less of a confusing position, because at least he didn't have to carry a bat while flying too. It was also most familiar to him as it was most like a few muggle sports, so while Abian would have liked to do the same thing Jacob did, he had eventually decided chaser may be a better position for him.

He was glad he was allowed to borrow Jacob's Scarlet Streak for this, and hoped he could return it to the boy with happy news of a successful tryout. He gathered with the rest of the people who hoped to try out, giving anyone who caught his eye a nervous smile. He really hoped he would make the team this year, an alternate position would be plenty. He just wanted to be part of it all, and had been quite sad to be cut last year, even if he got why. When it was his turn, he was nervous. "Uh, hi. I'm Abian, I'm trying out for chaser." He said hesitantly. He took the quaffle and flew over to the goals with it tucked under his arm. He focused his attention on the hoops, trying to pretend it was the basketball hoop he had often practiced throwing with at the playground near his house. He flew close, aimed, and threw. His eyes were wide as he watched the ball go into the goal, and he whooped loudly. He then retrieved it quickly and tried to score aiming for a different hoop. He managed to score again, but then his third attempt was blocked. Undeterred, Abian grabbed the quaffle and flew to the other side of the pitch as quickly as he could, figuring speed was important to show off as well. He threw the quaffle at the middle hoop and was relieved when it went in as well. He had done way better than he had expected! He tossed the quaffle to someone else, then flew down to the ground and dismounted. That went a little more clumsily than he would have liked, but hopefully the captain was already looking at the next person trying out.

Analei was excited to try out for the Qudditch team again. She had been an alternate the previous year, and though she didn't get to play, she had learned a lot from training with the team. The Hufflepuff was confident that she would make the team again, and hopefully actually have a chance to play this year. Taking her broom to the pitch, Analei stood by Arvel, grinning at him. When it was time, she approached the Captain with a smile. "Hey Austin. Trying out for Beater again, and Chaser, if you need me." She said hopefully. While beater was her preferred spot, she reckoned she made a pretty good chaser as well.
Taking a bat, Analei shot off to the sky, swinging the bat around to get used to it again. She spotted a bludger quickly, and zoomed off towards it. Analei hit it hard, and though the shot went wide, she was glad it went far. She hadn't seemed to lose much of her strength. Analei continued to fly around, keeping an eye on the bludgers, hitting them away when they got to close to anyone else, and also managing to hit a fair few in the direction she wanted them to go.
When her beater try-outs were over, Analei put down the bat and took to the sky again. This time, she showed how fast she was, by zooming around the pitch a couple of times before catching a Quaffle that was thrown to her. Tucking it under her arm, Analei flew straight towards the hoops. Pretending to aim for the left one, Analei changed her movement at the last moment, letting it sail through the middle hoop instead. She grinned as she caught the Quaffle again, and continued to show how good she was at catching and throwing. Of course, some were missed, but by the time Analei landed, she was overall impressed with what she had done.

Norton arrived at the quidditch pitch and looked towards the captain. He was stood near April, but conscious of all the other people made no move towards her. He just smiled towards her, and had a fond expression whenever he looked towards her. The teen listened to the brief explanation and introduction given by the captain, he was hopeful that during this year they'd win! There team was so good and April was just an amazing player! The prefect nodded as the captain told them to just get started. He got on the broom and held the beater bat lightly in his hand. He shot up into the air and got started. This would be fun! He loved quidditch!

Wendy was at it again, trying out for the quidditch team, this time a little more prepared this year. Thanks to Kace's dad and his connections with quidditch players in America, Wendy felt she was a bit more informed about the players and the game overall. Wendy thanked them and even given them tickets to her grandmother's upcoming tour across America. Some were happy to get them, others passed them up not knowing the grammy, award-winning artist. It was easier if she played her music, but that's been impossible to do with electronics going crazy in her hands. They didn't want anything, they were just happy to help an aspiring quidditch player. Many welcomed fresh, new young faces in the American league. That made her more amp to try out this year and purchase a new broom of her own.

Wendy arrived at the pitch, carrying the wooden broom with both hands. She had to get used to carrying her new broomstick if she did make it this year. Wendy had made alternative last year, but who the heck knows what today will bring. Wendy greeted the captain and smiled over at those she already knew personally by name. "Wendy Bell, I tried out for keeper last year, but I'm going for chaser. I can do both, I'd love to try out for both," Wendy tells Austin, feeling up for the challenge. Wendy geared up, and much like last year, she used soccer techniques to play keeper. This required very little movements while guarding the tall posts. Wendy used some volleyball techniques with an open palm to slap the quaffle away. Thanks to the protective gloves she wore, it didn't burn as if she was playing volleyball. Playing keeper went on for a while, then it was time for Wendy to switch it up. This time she will be going after the quaffle and trying to make it in the high hoops. The quaffle was passed over to her and Wendy went dashing with the quaffle underneath her pit. The quaffle was like a soccer in size and the material it was made out of, Wendy recognize the familiarity. Okay, flying with the quaffle was harder than she thought, but she managed and took her first shot in the hoops and made it in! "Okay, okay then. I did that, huh," Wendy smiles happily and tried it again and again. Wendy took advantage of this tryout, by the time it was over she had been all over the pitch. Wendy was pleased with herself, and stayed a while to watch the rest of the tryouts.

Lauren had been having a horrible break and was glad to be back at school. Last year she had tried out for the team, but she was too young it seemed. But this year she was a second year and determined to make the team. She knew Aonghas was trying out too and how cool it would be if they made the team together. Lauren knew her parents didn't want het to do this, but she wanted this and they had no saying over here around here. They wanted too, but they could not. And they would never have to find out. Lauren was gonna make sure of that. It wasn't like her parents could call the school or drop by all of sudden right? She hoped at least and if she had made the team, what she really wanted she would make sure that nobody would ever tell. Because otherwise she would be in more trouble than she was now. The blonde felt at her arm and shove her shirt up. The blue bruise seemed to be bluer anytime she looked at it. And she had to cover all up. Thank god Quidditch could let her help explaining some bruises, and she could act clumsy and all too. Lauren joined the rest of the group on the pitch and went standing next to Aonghas and smiled to him. Lauren noticed Therese, and almost forgot that she was a part of the team. But she would not tell her dad too, because they never spoke or saw eachother anymore. Lauren always liekd Therese and hoped that she could join her cousin. When it was her turn she smiled bright a bit more overdone than she actually felt. Because the pain in her body was there, but she would ignore. '' Lauren here. I'm trying out for chaser! '' Lauren than stepped on her broom and shut into the air quickly. Flying felt so free and she could forget all of the trouble at home for a moment and focused on this moment. She caught the quaffle soon and decided to fly towards her cousin. It wasn't like she was gonna let it through because they were family. And she had seen Therese play once, she was kind of good. The blonde trew the quaffle to another chaser close that flew along. It was about team play also and she understood that. But later on when she caught the quaffle again she was gonna try it herself. The blonde threw the quaffle hard and managed to score with her cousin. And smiled afterwards. Lauren saw how many people were trying out and some were older than she was. She didn't really got much confidence about that for her own. Her parents told her that she wasn't good enough for anything so she started to believe that sometimes. Lauren tried her best and managed to score a few times, but couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't gonna happen for her. Why didn't she had the confidence? She was away from home and still she could hear her fathers voice to her. Lauren also missed a few times but scored more out of het tries. When she was done she went back to the ground again and stepped of her broom. And left the pitch with a mixed feeling.

Lavinia wasn’t sure why she hadn’t tried out for Quidditch last year, she had more going on now than she had then, especially with what was happening at home, but she needed something to hold her into place, and Quidditch literally seemed like the only thing that stopped her from properly going insane. So she headed to the pitch, ready to try out again after two years, and her broom was in her hand. She smiled at the new captain and listened to his words, eager to get started and just focus on her tryouts. Even if she just became an alternate, that still basically counted as being part of the team. She just wanted a spot. She needed this. "Lavinia Benivieni, trying out for beater," she said, before she mounted her broom and was up in the air in hunt for bludgers.

The hufflepuff tried her best to channel her anger, what she had been feeling for months now, and tried to use it without losing control of it. She didn’t want to get disqualified for being able to be an alternate, anyway. Of course, it would be great to be on the actual team but she already knew that the position she loved the best had enough people and was filled. She spotted a bludger that was about to hit one of the other players and she sped forward, before she swung her beater’s bat and hit the bludger away from the player. Lavinia felt satisfied about her hit and due to this her energy increased. She managed to hit the next two bludgers, dodging one and missing one, she winced as it hit her left arm, thankfully not her dominant one. The fourth year decided that was it, and noticing one last bludger she held her bat firmly and prepared herself for the hit. With a crack, she sent the bludger flying all the way to the other side of the pitch. She grinned, happy with what she had achieved.

Therese was glad to be back at school. She enjoyed playing as a keeper and it was the perfect position for her. This was the first year without Rory and Therese kind of missed him. Rory was a special person and not everyone saw that. They had been dating, but that ended a time ago. And after that they had been staying good friends. Therese just hoped that he was alright outside of Hogwarts. The brunette joined the team on the pitch and saw a lot of new faces. '' Hi Austin.'' She said friendly and greeted their captain and noticed April and Norton than and went standing next to them. They looked so happy and cute together she thought. Both amazing people. Therese felt most happy when the people around her seemed too. Otherwise she wanted to make sure that they would become happy. When the first people were trying out she than heard a familliar name and saw the face. Lauren her cousin. Therese was glad to see her, but was sad about not seeing the Davenport clan anymore. Lauren and Gabriella were on school with them now, but that was all. Lauren seemed to be noticing her too and Therese smiled at her back. The brunette went sitting on her broom and flyed towards the three hoops and would see if she could catch the quaffles or that there were a lot of new talents.

With another year of Hogwarts starting, that meant another Quidditch Tryout for Patrick. The boy had felt himself get better at the sport over the years and he quite enjoyed the games that he actually played. It was a fun sport, despite the fact his step-sister thought otherwise, and it gave him a break from his studies, which he knew he would need this year with his OWLs coming up. The Hufflepuff made his way down to the quidditch pitch that morning with all of the other people trying out. He felt confident and was ready to show the new captain that he could actually play. He listened as he spoke briefly before telling everyone they could begin to tryout, and Patrick promptly did so. With his broom in hand, he approached Austin. "Patrick Vernier, trying out for beater again." he said, and with that he mounted his broom and flew into the air with his beater bat over his shoulder.

Almost as soon as Patrick positioned himself high enough into the air, the boy spotted a bludger and quickly swung his bat back to hit it with all his might. He managed to do this easily, watching with a slight smirk as it flew across the pitch and out of sight. Once this was done, Patrick continued to fly around, watching others that were also trying out as he kept an eye out for bludgers. He almost missed one but acted fast, quickly and easily swinging his bat towards it and watching as it flew towards a younger person trying out for chaser. By the end of the tryout, Patrick thought he had done quite well and nodded a thanks to the captain before heading back up to the castle.

If Analei didn't make it onto the team this year, Arvel was going to quit. He told himself that, anyway - he knew Analei would never let him, and even if she did, he would never go through with it. Quidditch, flying, was one of his few passions, and one of the only escapes he had from his troubles. He wouldn't have given it up for anything. He offered his friend a few words of encouragement before they took to the air. Even though he thought his own position was fairly safe, he didn't slack off during try-outs, and managed to score two goals. Now he just had to recreate that for real.

Tryouts are now closed. Thank you everyone who tried out and here is the team for Y33.
