Y28 Dueling Tournament

Welcome to another round of Dueling Tournament! This is the section where we will be signing up students, which will last a week! You can read up on how the duels work in the dueling forum, here. There are many old duels that you can see from there. And the rules and point system are easy to follow. How do you join the club that has no sign ups? You post your pic in the Accio! forum! And that is all! Do you need to know where it is at? It is found here. But, second years and up only. No first years. Period. First years don't know enough magic to hold a candle to the others. If you want to sign up, just post here with your name and year! I'll add you to my amazing table.

A few changes this year. I have two helpers that will be posting duels with me: Professor Aeon Summers (Jesse) and Professor Misha Haden (Emzies). We will not be hosting our own matches, for obvious reasons. Everything will be announced, and all matches will be posted within the same day, granted with some time zone differences. When we post our matches, it will be announced in this thread. All matches will last 7 days, ending at 12:00 AM EST on the 7th day. We ask that you plan your posts accordingly. Any match that is not completed by the deadline will have a winner chosen for them by random draw, aka random number generator. All matches have a 24 hour window before they are closed. The duelist that posted last will be the winner. My advice is that when they are posted, to track them.

If there is an odd number in pairing up in duels, then we will look at the amount of duels per person. If you have two or more students in the same year, the student that will progress further will be decided upon in one way: house points earned. So, if the student you are rooting for in the end has less house points than another one that you signed up for, the latter will be going forward. Under those circumstances, the one with the most house points will be going forward. We want to avoid having RPers duel themselves, for the sake of of the RPers. But anyway, post who you want, with their house and year, and don't forget to post your picture within the Accio! thread! Sign ups will close Sunday, at midnight, and the tournament officially begins Monday. Winners will receive 25 house points, with the final round worth 50. Participators will earn as least 5 house points for the first round. If you win one, and lose one, you will not earn 25 plus 5. You will only earn a total of 25.
