The Snows' Day

Archie's excitement to participate in the game of truth or dare only grew when the other party goers also seemed excited. Archie's smile widened when the game started though the smile turned to a partially confused frown when Orwell dared Jean to kiss him on the cheek. He was clearly surprised by Orwell's dare and furthermore surprised that Jean agreed to go through with it but Archie did remember the bet fiasco of the year before and figured this dare had something to do with it. Archie had forgotten that he offered to kiss Jean that day and failed to remember that until the moment that Jean moved forward to kiss Archie on the cheek. He blushed at the contact, giggling and bringing his hand in front of his mouth when Jean moved away. He was giddy, flustered and embarrassed at the same time though that didn't keep him from squealing and exclaiming "I love boys so much." when Jean asked the group who was next. Archie then looked around the group, the blush still remaining on his cheeks as he waited for the game to continue. With a start like that, he was curious to where the game would go next.

Avie's smile grew even larger when Esme appeared and he momentarily broke off from Lucien's side to be able to go give her a large hug, ignoring the boy who stood with her as he did so, and then returning to Lucien's side as the game of truth and dare got started, with the multi-coloured haired boy spoke, daring Jean to kiss Archie, and much like how he really disliked when he saw people kiss he scrunched up his face in disgust and then made an even more disgusted face when the boy actually watched him kiss the other boy's cheek, "Kissing is gross," he stated bluntly, his tone reflecting how bad he thought the act was. But it seemed that there was nothing else to dare, or at the very least following that no one had jumped up to dare anyone else, so Avie who was borderline about to burst with excitement over playing the game, now that he had gotten over how disgusting the kiss was blurted out with, "Someone dare me!" Avie just wanted to be dared, he cared not for the questions but was more than willing to do anything that they might ask, though perhaps not kiss, he would sooner eat dirt than kiss anyone, "Please!"

Lucien shot a look over his shoulder when Jean asked if he was moving on so quickly. As if he would ever date someone like Runa! She was so...touchy. When Katrina asked if he knew her, and Jean too, Lucien shrugged his shoulders. "We met once in the library. She can't take a helping hand without jumping down someone's throat." But at that point, Runa was walking off. Really, what was she doing here? Hanging out at his birthday party. Well, not just his but his siblings too. But then the mention of truth and dare made him change his mind about kicking Runa out of this party. Maybe he could really get into it, since the Greene brothers seemed to only be interested in his sisters. Especially Mason and Lucretia off in the distance. Lucien looked over to Matt, who nodded about the game. He then accepted the gift from Esme, who gave him a really nice gift, something that he put around his neck immediately. "Thanks, Esme. It is the coolest gift here." He went back to the group about the truth and dare, before he smirked, "I'm in. Someone needs to invite the Ravenclaw witch."

Matt wasn't so worried about the whole game of truth and dare, but he was a little worried about Katrina, and Runa. Runa was nice, but she definitely was not someone he could be around for too long. Mason adored her, but was always wrapped around Lucretia's finger. The game of truth and dare hung out there, but Matt didn't really want to play. He looked to Katrina before he gave her a quick kiss on her cheek, and turned over his shoulder to see Runa toward the food table. "Hey, maybe you should join. You may make some unforgettable friends if you can ignore the Slytherin sour puss." Matt looked toward Katrina before he whispered, "You know, her personality, if we can get them to click, it would really put a leash on Lucien and his arrogance." He looked at her and shrugged his lean shoulders. Matt wondered if Katrina was seeing what he was seeing. Sometimes, she could. But others, she couldn't. At least Lucretia and Mason were enjoying themselves.

"Don't let Avie hear you say that." Esme responded to Luciens thanks with a small look toward the older Slytherin's direction. Avie approached her for a hug, and she released Vulcan's hand to return it. She had initially expected him to have brought Lucien rock as a gift, but was surprised to find that he hadn't. A small smile touched her lips as her eyes fell on the photo from the day they had spent in the gardens, but it was gone just as quickly once the girl returned her attention to the current situation of Truth or Dare, a game she played as a small child, albeit under the name of Veritaserum. Apparently in this version, no one was opting for the choice of Truth. She wasn't particularly interested in participating, more than happy to just watch how it unfolded, but if one of the other students attempted to issue her a dare, she wasn't likely to back down.

Esme watched with a mild interest as Orwell dared Jean to kiss Archie, a challenge that the Gryffindor obliged. The peck was brief, but for Renner it seemed to be more than enough, and the Lancaster girl enjoyed Jean's obvious discomfort. "It's probably the most action he's ever had." Esme said in regard to Jean, her voice quiet, but just loud enough for those immediately around her. Avie piped up with his interest in being dared next, but Esme had no suggestions. She just hoped he wasn't made to do anything stupid.

Katrina did her best not to glare at Jean when he suggested the game of truth and dare, he had basically just dug his own gave on this one. However, it appeared that the other Slytherin named Avie wanted to go next. Smirking, the blonde looked toward her younger brother. "Sure, I'll play." Anyone who knew Katrina, knew that her easily agreeing to do something usually meant that she was up to something. "Avie I dare you to run around the castle grounds. Naked." Would he be up to the challenge or would he chicken out? It'd be amusing to see if he'd actually do it but it also wouldn't surprise her if he decided not to do it. When Matt came over to talk to Katrina about the Ravenclaw and her brother, Katrina snorted softly before looking in the direction of her brother. "I don't know, I'm kind of worried she might beat him up." Whatever he did to this girl, or whatever she did to him, definitely created some bad blood between them. Lucien could rub some people the wrong way. His arrogance had the tendency to make him a little hard to swallow when it came to people who didn't know him well. Katrina had dealt with his attitude her whole life, so she knew what to expect from him, this new girl though, had probably only seen one side of him and was basing her opinion of him from that.

Lucretia scowled when Jean brought up playing truth or dare. She remembered playing this game as a kid with the three of them. The taste of earthworm lingered in her mouth to this day. "Ew, I'm not playing." They should all know why without being told as well. Her siblings, particularly Lucien and Katrina, got pretty mean with their dares. The last thing she wanted to do was be dared into eating another worm. Plus she wasn't sure if she wanted to stick around and watch her brother and the new girl at the other's throat. Although Lucien appeared to act like he disliked the girl, he had yet to kick her out of the party yet. Maybe he didn't hate her as much as he wanted to pretend. Or perhaps he just wanted to torture her. "You can play if you want." Lucretia offered to Mason. She didn't want him to sit out just because she wasn't brave enough to play with the others. Now watching, that she could do. Pretty sure if she stayed long enough she'd be able to see some pretty funny situations.

Runa didn't want the others to think she had anything against them, she just didn't want to deal with Lucien. His statement about how they met made Runa consider throwing a rock at his head. It took everything she had, but she resisted the urge to turn around and state that if he could keep his comments and his arrogance in check, she never would have jumped down his throat. Matt came to talk to her, which she found kind of unusual. Normally Mason was the one who attempted to convince her to do things. "I have the feeling that he's not going to make ignoring him easy whatsoever. But fine, I'll play. But if things get out of hand I'm out of here." Runa told Matt as she slowly rejoined the group. She managed to hear a bit about the dare that Katrina had just thrown out, and nearly left right then and there. If this was going to be the type of stuff she had to worry about, maybe she'd just stick with truth the entire time. Or maybe she'd get lucky and wouldn't have to be dared by any of the Snow siblings. She didn't know any of the people around her other than Matt and Mason, so anything was fair game by this point.

The fact Vulcan Zhefarovich was at a birthday party was out of scene for him, but he didn't mind since he was hand in hand with Esme, his girlfriend. He didn't know what to get anyone, so he just didn't. Vulcan didn't know the Snow cousins very well. Vulcan laughed as Jean had to kiss Archie on the cheek, and the little fruity boy seemed to be on cloud nine. Vulcan then heard Katrina's dare, to Avie, which was something that he wanted to see. Mainly cause it would be hilarious. Vulcan was not too big of a fan of this game, so he didn't say if he wanted to play or not. But he wouldn't say no to anything. He was here for Esme, and that was it.

Mason watched as the group started to play truth or dare, and it was something that never really interested Mason in playing. Watching though, was funny. He adjusted so that he was sitting next to Lucretia, and put his arm around her to cuddle. He shook his head, "Nope." He really didn't want to play when he could cuddle next to the girl he really cared about. Mason cuddled closer to Lucretia and he murmured, "No, I wanna stay here with you. That game with your siblings honestly would scare me a little bit. Let's just watch though." Mason didn't really hear the dares, but he figured that he would find out about them soon enough, when people start doing things that were out of their character.

It seemed that no one was willing to give him a dare, and the boy really wanted one, he just wanted to do something, this game was all kinds of fun, and he didn't understand why some didn't want to, specifically he didn't understand why Mason didn't seem to want to, that boy always had fun with him, why not now. However at long last he was given a dare, to run around the grounds of the school naked, and Avie nodded at it, "YES" he exclaimed jumping up and down as he pulled off all of his clothes breaking into a run before he had undressed fully, laughing happily and waving to them as he ran away to do his dare, stark naked with a trail of clothes behind. He would be back soon enough having run the entire way around the school grounds. It wasn't much of a dare to him, he could do this no problem and given his quidditch, he was pretty sure he could do the entire bit in one go, without a rest at all. Avie would show them when he eventually did return, unlike the kiss it wouldn't be too short a thing, and this was far less gross than kissing, which in Avie's mind was the most gross thing ever.

Orwell grinned easily as Jean completed the dare, it wasn't overly tricky and he wouldn't have seen any issue with kissing Archie's cheek which was something he did actually do, but the boy just let him have the moment of awkwardness as he stood beside his best friend, once that had been done, the slytherin prefect who seemed overly excited wanted a dare and before Orwell could think of something, one of the girls he didn't really know gave him a dare, Orwell had been about to stop it, or at least tell him that he should keep his underwear on, not for modesty reasons but more that to him the boy seemed young and he wasn't entirely comfortable with daring others to get naked, but thus was truth or dare it seemed. The King of the flowers looked between the group and the fading stark naked boy who was going to run around the grounds, "In the mean time, whose next?" he asked, knowing it might be a few minutes before the other boy got back and they could continue onwards with the game. Though a few of the people didn't want to play, he was perfectly okay figuring out who else wanted to play and who wanted to be dared, or god forbid have to suffer a truth.

Jean gave Esme the finger, something he seemed to do often where she was concerned, before smirking at his brother's explanation of the Ravenclaw. Now, he was even more intrigued by her. It didn't surprise Jean in the slightest when Avie easily accepted his dare and ran off to run the grounds. Jean laughed heartily. This was truth or dare with the Snows. "Not going to play, Lucretia?" he smirked at his older sister, fondly recalling watching her eat a worm when they were much younger.

Turning to the Ravenclaw witch, the only person in the bunch that he didn't know, Jean pointed at her. "You. Truth? Or dare?" he asked, offering her the appearance of a choice.

Runa felt her face growing hot as the boy took Katrina's dare, stripped off his clothes, and took off stark naked. As amusing as it was, she wished she had looked away instead. She had to admit though, he was much more brave than she ever was. Runa doubted that she could ever do anything like that and live to tell about it. Turning her head when Lucien's brother addressed her, she tried not to let it show that she she was flustered. "My name is Runa." She corrected him. Apparently it was her turn. Although she figured they would make her do something awful if she chose dare, she didn't want to be the first to chicken out and choose the easy way out and say truth. These people knew nothing about her so truth wouldn't be as juicy or fun for them. "I'm probably going to regret this, but dare." Jean seemed like the nicer one of the siblings too, so maybe he would go easy on her.

Esme smirked as Jean gave her the finger, amused by the gesture. But she'd said everything she wanted to say to him, her attention now turned on one of the Snow girls, her eyes narrowed as she dared Avie to strip down and run around the grounds. That was not a dare the Slytherin was comfortable with. "You cannot be serious. No, Avie-" The witch started, but by then her friend was already removing clothes and disappearing into the distance. She averted her gaze until she was sure he was away. She did not expect to see that much of Avie, and she hoped that was the last look she got.

"I'm sure you know why I'm choosing to sit out too, brother." If she recalled correctly, Jean was the one who dared her to eat the worms. Or maybe it was Lucien. A lot of the memories she had with the two of them were somewhat, confusing. Sometimes she remembered one of her brother's being involved, but not which one. Being twins, sometimes it was hard to tell the two apart, and Lucretia had a twin herself. Sometimes twins had different features, but other than their large difference in personalities, Lucretia thought the two brothers looked exactly the same. When Jean addressed the new girl, attempting to bring her into the game, Lucretia wanted to tell the girl not to pick dare. If she valued her dignity and sanity, she would not pick dare. Even if Jean was considered to be the nicer one of the four, Lucretia knew he was still more than capable of being mean if he wanted to. When the girl chose dare, Lucretia resisted the urge to sigh, she was a goner.

Katrina bit her lip when Avie took the dare. As he ripped off his clothing and took off into the distance, Katrina broke down into laughter. This was a lot funnier than she thought it would be. "Oh god. You guys have got to bring this kid around more. I didn't think he'd actually do it!" Katrina said between breaths of laughter. For once, she was glad someone actually listened to her and took the dare. It didn't look as if he were going to return for a bit, so the others pressed on in their game of truth and dare. Katrina had been hoping to catch Jean for a turn. Whether or not he picked truth or dare, she was going to do what she could to figure out who this mystery girl was. Jean was quicker than Katrina was though, he asked Runa, and Katrina smirked when she picked dare. Hopefully he picked a really mean one for her.

"Sister, I swear I haven't a clue" he smirked at Lucretia, knowing full well why she wasn't participating. "Hungry?" he added, letting on that he was well aware and enjoying teasing her. With that smirk still on his face, Jean turned to the girl who'd introduced herself as Runa. If Lucien hadn't known before, he would know her name now. "Runa. I dare you to get me a puffapod from Professor Kazuyuki's greenhouse." He'd heard that the professor was strict, so he was certain she'd have security measures up.

Runa frowned when Jean dared her to steal a puffapod from Professor Kazuyuki's office. Runa hated the thought of stealing anything, but she didn't want to be seen as a chicken. Muttering something under her breath she stalked off towards the castle. It took a minute to reach the greenhouse, which was locked. Runa figured it would be, but being a fairly decent witch, Runa had been prepared for some bumps along the way. Using her wand to unlock the greenhouse, she made her way in. The entire placed smelled like dirt, which brought Runa to scrunch up her nose in disgust. Runa knew where the puffapods were, but in order to get through them she had to maneuver her way through the aisles of pots and planting supplies, along with several plants that attempted to hinder her progress. By the time she had the pods in her hands, she was covered in dirt as well as a few scratches. Runa re-locked the door to the greenhouse and headed back towards the party.

"Here's the puffapods." Runa spoke, sounding out of breath. She handed the pods over to Jean and attempted to rub some of the dirt off of her face and clothes. Herbology had never been her favorite subject. Her adoptive father was somewhat of a germaphobe, so dirt was something Runa had been taught to avoid if at all possible. "Who's next?" Runa was still trying to recover from her little adventure, so she would let someone else play before she stepped in. Plus she had to think of a couple good dares in case someone did choose that option when it was her turn.

Taking the perfect opportunity once Runa had returned, Katrina smirked and turned towards the youngest of the four. "Jean, your turn. Truth or dare?" As much fun as it would be to have him pick dare, because she had several good ones set aside just for this game, she actually wanted her brother to pick truth. That way she could get him to spill the beans on the girl he had supposedly been so taken with, if there even was one. Jean should be worried right now, Katrina was probably one of the meanest, if not the meanest when it came to this game. She made sure the dares were hard, and the truth even harder. After all, why keep this game boring and easy?

Avie much enjoyed running around and he found that there was something actually incredibly freeing about the fact that he was running naked, but as he made it through the final stretch he realised that he was back towards the beginning and he could see the crowd again. During his running, Avie had tripped twice, and he was pretty covered in mud, and he began putting back on his clothes as he came to them, getting closer and closer to the group. He waved happily at all of them, and finally, back, and fully clothed he stood with the rest of them, smiling easily, "What did I miss?!" he exclaimed happily wiping his forehead and wiping away the mud that was upon it, hoping that someone would catch him up, and he was also looking for praise for what he had done, the mud covered prefect was just smiling happily at the crowd, as he stood next to Lucien and was very clearly excited for the continuation of this game. He loved truth or dare, and he wanted to just do more, and see others do more, he wouldn't mind running around naked again in the slightest, that had been the most fun ever, aside from any time he'd been rock collecting.

Jean smirked as Runa returned, puffapod in hand. “Excellent” the Gryffindor declared, putting the plant at his feet. He hadn’t really wanted it. Really, he just wanted to see if she was willing to go through with it, and she had been. As he was ready to point to someone else, Jean’s sister beat him to it. He stared at her for a second, knowing that either option would be terrible. But, the question that she would ask him if he picked truth was written all over her face, so he stalled, thankful at Avie’s arrival. What the boy had gotten up to during his run was a mystery but he was covered in what Jean hoped was mud. “Nothing much. I got a new puffapod” he stated with a smile before replying to his sister. “Of course, I pick dare.” He usually chose dare anyway, but with Katrina in charge that wasn’t usually the way to go.

Although Katrina had wanted him to pick truth, she could easily have just as much fun with a dare. Jean must be feeling pretty darn brave today, because he knew that Katrina could be pretty mean when it came to her dares. What would she have him do? Wrestle with the devil's snare back in the greenhouse? Eat his own weight in pudding? Whatever it was, it had to be mean. How else was she going to show how much she loved her 'little' brother if she didn't give him the worst dare possible? "Jean, I dare you to-" Katrina stopped mid-sentence when she saw a figure approaching. Growing quiet she glanced at her other siblings before swallowing hard. "Theodore." Sometimes it was easy to forget that Theodore was their older brother, he was pretty good at pretending they didn't exist. When Katrina was younger, she used think herself above him due to his blood status, but Theodore had always been pretty good ignoring what others thought of him. Actually he ignored ninety percent of everything.

Theodore had caught wind of a little party his siblings were throwing for themselves. It wasn't hard, teenagers really lacked the ability to keep things quiet. Theodore would have much rather just stayed in office and kept to himself, but something told him he should pay the little snots a visit. "Truth or dare. Really?" Snorting softly as he approached the group, she noticed the various decorations and food that had been laid out. Theodore had to resist the urge to state that he didn't realize that spawns of Satan could even have birthdays, but being a Professor, he figured he should at least try to be respectful. Even if he felt they didn't deserve. Theodore didn't have a very good bond with his siblings. He didn't hate them, most of the time, but they had grown up with different family dynamics than he had, which he was envious of. They didn't grow up knowing Alphonse and the way he treated his children. They barely even grew up knowing what a mess the family had been when he was in charge. He felt that because of this, they were more reckless in their behavior. If they knew what would be done to them if they didn't follow the laws, they wouldn't be doing half the things they do now.

Lucretia bit her lip and avoided eye contact with Theodore. She didn't like dealing with the older members of the family, they had the tendency to be mean, and Theodore was no different. He wasn't as bad as some of the others were, but she knew better than to be as mouthy as she wanted to be. She was tempted to ask what he wanted, but decided against it. Lucretia wasn't even bold enough to tell her sister off sometimes, there was no way she would ever have the guts to tell off Theodore.
