If they ever say that I never do anything for them, I’m cursing them, Jean thought to himself as he finished ordering the school house elves to set up the final table. The teenager had ‘borrowed’ a radio from another Gryffindor, and he’d coaxed the house elves into giving him the snacks and even making a cake by telling him that it was for his and his siblings’ birthday. Hearing that they were Snows had the house elves tripping over themselves to get things ready for such a ‘powerful family’s coming of age party’ – their words, not his, though he certainly hadn’t minded. Jean couldn’t believe that he was actually 17, the age that made him an adult in the wizarding community, the only world that mattered. Jean had even had the foresight to grab gifts for his siblings and they were tucked in a corner by a tree, gift wrapped from the stores he’d purchased them from. Jean had thought of it all, he was convinced that he had. He’d sent out invitations using the school owls a week before, inviting their sixth year friends, a few of his Gryffindor quidditch mates, the ones he was actually friends with, and some of their family members, the ones he liked anyway. He figured his siblings had invited a few others.

“Sh!t” Jean let out, realizing that he didn’t have any time at all to run back to his room. Using his wand, Jean summoned the shirt he’d been planning on wearing, glad that it didn’t take long to arrive. He slipped off the sweaty white shirt he’d been wearing to decorate, his back to the direction everyone would be coming from as he quickly slipped on the new shirt. Looking at the shirt in his hands, Jean shrugged and stuffed it in one of the fallen logs they'd use as chairs just as he heard the breaking of sticks that let him know people were arriving. It was time for everything to begin.

Katrina wasn't big on birthday parties. Actually she wasn't fond of parties in general. It was a control thing. When she wasn't able to keep tabs on everything and everyone, she often became nervous. The worst feeling in the world was when one had no control over their surroundings. But Jean was her brother, and he had put a lot of effort into this party. He had sent out invitations and everything. Although Katrina would never admit it out loud, she loved her brother to death. He might do some things she didn't agree with, but he had a good soul. He was probably one of the few members in their entire family that did. Which worried the Ravenclaw just a bit. People like Jean often didn't last very long in their family. Alyssa was a prime example, she had been alienated to the point where some of the younger members of their family didn't even know she existed.

Hopefully Jean would come to his senses soon, before the elders got ahold of him. "Wow. I'm impressed. You did all of this?" Katrina tried her best now to sound like she was too surprised, but she was. Jean had an eye for party planning, who knew? Then again, he was also one of the few members of the family also be rather social. Katrina was often to bossy to come off as friendly, Lucretia barely spoke a word to anyone, and Lucien, well he a butthead. Probably the worst of the four, but he often appeared to be at least somewhat social, even if it was only with girls in their year. "I'm tempted to ask why you did all of this for us. You know we'd never do anything like this for you. No offense." Katrina realized that her statement had come out meaner than she had meant, but she was trying to explain that none of the others would have thought to do this, so why do this for them?

If Katrina hadn't forced Lucretia to come, she wouldn't have. Being as quiet and solitary as she was, Lucretia wasn't exactly what one would consider 'good company' at a party. But after an hour of listening to her sister complain about how bad of a sister she was being by not going, Lucretia decided it would be better to just show her face for a few hours and get Katrina to shut up, then suffer her wrath for god knows how long. The only thing the Slytherin could pray for, was decent company. Hopefully no one that was likely to get any of them going was going to show up. Jean was different than the rest of them. He hung out with the type of people they weren't supposed to, even if tried to deny it, it wasn't hard to notice. The last thing Lucretia wanted to deal with was Theodore going back to the elders and having a target on their backs because they failed to do what they taught to do from a young age.

Lucretia wandered in after Katrina, silent as per the usual. Her eyes had been fixed on her feet until she heard Katrina begin to speak someone. Sure enough, Jean was present. Greeting him with a quick wave, Lucretia stepped away from the two siblings and found a corner to settle herself within. She was unsure why anyone would put such an effort into a party, but then again, Jean was the type of person to care about this sort of stuff.

After breaking up with Clara, Lucien had never felt better. He felt as though someone removed a hundred and ten pound tumor from his side. It was grand. Nothing could bring him down. When he was invited down to the cliffs to enjoy a special something, he arrived within a few minutes of his other siblings. Looking around he could see a lot of presents, and felt bad for not even wrapping what he got for his siblings. Something Quidditch related for Jean, and some expensive jewelry for his sisters. He set them by the tree, and walked over to his sisters and brother. Looking around, he wondered what this was all about. It looked a little too fancy. Lucien reached around and scratched his neck, "Okay, so, Jean, you did all this? I mean, we got our back tattoos. I thought that was achievement enough." Lucien could still feel the wand burning it into his back, which made him flinch. He looked to his sisters, before smirking, "I bet your boyfriends will be here soon. I mean, this is a party. All of our friends should be here." One person he didn't really want to see was Emma. She was just so hyper. And she loved Clara.

It was the birthday of his girlfriend, and knowing that there was a party. Matt just had to invite himself. Well, in a way. Ish. Everything was rather confusing, but Jean was a super cool guy on the Quidditch team, and hoped that he would get captain. Matt was enjoying his last year here, and he was also very much attached to his girlfriend, when he had time to see her. Matt had a beautiful bracelet to give to her, since that was all he could afford right now. Matt's family was not exactly rich. He was sure that it was plated silver, and not even totally silver. But whatever. Matt strolled through the lawns, before arriving to the party. Matt didn't really look at Lucien. Matt was not a fan of that boy but he was in awe with his quidditch skills. Except when they lost to Ravenclaw. Matt approached Katrina, before slipping his hand with hers, and holding out the bracelet to her. "Happy birthday, Katrina." He looked to the other three, with one all the way to the side, alone. "And to you three."

After being invited by Lucien in order to tend to Lucretia, Mason Greene knew that this would be an awesome day! He had never spent time with all of the Snow kids at once. He used to spend time with just Katrina and Lucretia until Matt was dragged into it, and then romance developed. Mason was over the hills in love with Lucretia. She was his opposite, and because of that, he didn't know what to get her for her birthday. So, he bought her a huge teddy bear. It was about as tall as he was! Mason walked down the lawns toward the cliffs. He only knew where it was because he thought he had everything memorized. He followed the familiar voices, before peaking around to see Matt pointing in the direction of Lucretia. Mason nodded curtly, as began to walk. He managed to step on a shoelace, and fall onto the ground, with only the bear to cushion his fall. "Oof!" Oh, this wasn't fun! He jerked his head up to see Lucretia, and beamed. "Hi! I got you this huge teddy!" Mason struggled to get up while still holding onto it, while hearing Lucien say, "Clumsy idiot." Mason held it out to her once he finally figured out how to get up with a huge teddy bear. He pounced with a hug to his girlfriend, before turning to the others and announcing, "Happy birthday to the Snow Quads!"

Avie had worked so hard on his gift for Lucien, his gift to Esme had been one of his best rocks, it had taken a while to sort through his best rocks to find the best of the best to be able to give to her, but for Lucien he had wanted to do something more, for Lucien he wanted to get him something more but Avie had never been that good at gifts, he never knew what to get for people, and so much more when it was someone he cared about more than anything. Lucien had been so kind to him always, so lovely to him, and he just wanted to return the favour, but there was very little Avie could do, and he'd been kicked out of so many stores while looking for a gift and had broken many an item, but eventually, Avie had figured it out, and he was so happy with it. He'd wrapped the gift in his old charms notes which were illegible gibberish, attempts by him to know what was going on.

And eventually the Slytherin prefect was heading to where he'd been invited. The teen was wearing a party hat he'd found, and wore the largest smile as he ran towards them, placing a little gift in Jean's hands, that was a rock, one of the better ones just not as good as the one he's given to Esme, and then just stood in front of Lucien with the gift, "Happy Birthday Lucien!" he told him excitedly as he shoved the badly wrapped gift into his hands. Avie's few talents included photos and quidditch, and he didn't think Lucien would want a snitch and so instead he had found three pictures, one of Lucien, one of him, lucien and Esme from that time in the gardens, and the last was just of the two of them, in a frame that Avie had very clearly made himself, it was stuck together with glue. The boy was very clearly excited by it, and he couldn't wait to see Lucien's reaction to it, he wanted him to like it, and the boy definitely ignored the two other girls as he focused his attention on Lucien.

Orwell had finally wrapped the gift for Jean and was heading for the Gryffindor common room so that he could grab Archie, he had a plan for him to grab a flower crown and in addition to that they had a gotten Jean a book, one of Orwell's old anarchist books called, Young Radicals that he was sure that Jean would hate but it was going to be good, for all Orwell knew it might help him. He thought he would be able to read it after all the things that Jean had taken part in that he might in reality enjoy the book. The teen waited until he was ready and then took Archie's hand as they walked to the birthday party at the bottom of the garden with the book in hand and then took a small detour to the gardens before getting to the where the teens stood for the party, Jean and Lucien, Orwell knew but the other two that looks similar he hadn't really seen before. He glanced at Archie, "I didn't realise there were more than two of them," the king of flowers whispered to Archie as they arrived, he greeted Jean with a warm smile, "Happy Birthday Jean!" He handed the gift to him, the wrapped book and the flower crown with the card from them both. He thought the little birthday area looked pretty good, and he was very impressed by it, and thought it was a rather sweet thing to do for his siblings, much like how Archie had thrown him a little party for his birthday twice.

“A simple thank you would suffice, Katrina. Happy birthday to you too” Jean grumbled good-naturedly. He wasn’t going to let anyone bring his mood down today. Really, he hadn’t thought it was that big of a deal. They were now of age, able to do magic whenever the hell they wanted without anyone being able to tell them anything. He figured that was something worth noting with a celebration. And if people happened to bring them gifts, he wasn’t going to complain. Since they’d entered school, the quads almost never spent time all together. They had such different personalities, after all. And he figured that they’d be even more distant once they left the school. He threw his hands in the air as Lucien arrived and also asked if he’d done all this. “Is it so hard to believe?” he asked aloud before smirking, “And the answer is no. The house elves did everything. I just ordered them around.” The Gryffindor was glad when other people began arriving, his sisters’ boyfriends, and the party was ready to get more underway. Jean moved to the food table, grabbing a drink for himself as he peered at the gift his brother had gotten him. A new broom cleaning kit. He grinned, heading back to the group. “I know which one of you is Matt now” he stated to his Gryffindor teammate. Usually, he had a hard time telling the difference between the two unless he saw them with his sisters.

As more people started to arrive, Jean found himself being handed gifts. First, a rock, by the shape of it, of course from Avie and then a wrapped gift from Orwell and Archie. "Thanks" Jean greeted all three. Using his wand, Jean raised the volume on the radio rather than walking over and doing it in case anyone wanted to dance. He probably wouldn't. He didn't think his favorite dance partner would show up.

Lucretia tried to fight back a smile once Mason arrived. He could be a pain in butt most times, but he was her pain in the butt all the same. Instantly the smile dropped from her face as Mason paraded into the area, then proceeded to fall face first while being cushioned by a large stuffed bear. "I swear we need a healer on call for this boy." Lucretia leaned over to see if he was okay. He was back up in mere seconds, with that trademark grin plastered on his face. He offered her the large bear, to which Lucretia blinked at. Was this for her? Not that she hated it, she just hadn't been expecting him to bring her anything. "Thank you. Are you okay?" Lucretia muttered quietly, hoping not to be heard over the bustle going on between the others. Her eyes fell quickly to the other two boys in the room. She knew their names, but didn't know either of them well enough to greet them, they must be friends of her brothers. Although who was friends with who, was unknown to her. These days she didn't pay too much attention to her classmates or who they hung out with.

"But it's so much more fun teasing you, brother." Katrina teased back, knowing Jean likely didn't appreciate her comment. Like Lucien, Katrina had the tendency to be more aggressive when it came to teasing others. Katrina was very blunt when it came to feelings, even more so than Lucretia, and that girl held nothing back when she actually chose to open her mouth. Katrina smiled at Matt when he arrived to the party. She had half a mind to ask where that half-breed he had the tendency to hang out with was, but ever since she and Vladimir had been together, Katrina had been careful to watch her mouth. It had always bothered Katrina that Matt was once friends with the girl. "Than you. It's pretty. Want to help me put it on?" Katrina asked as she held out her hand, she always had trouble putting it on by herself. Looking back up at her brother's, Katrina smirked devilishly. "Where are your….girlfriends? If you'd even call them that?" Actually she had no idea who either of them were with, or even if they were, but she refused to believe that either of them were currently single. They were always seen hanging out with girls. Katrina figured she might be pushing some buttons, but someone had to do it, and it might as well be her.

Runa followed behind Matt and Mason, unsure as to whether or not going to the party would be a good thing. First of all, she hadn't been officially invited by the guests of honor themselves. Two, Runa lacked in the social department. It was hard for her to speak to others, and when she did she often had the tendency to sound shy or rude. Runa just had the tendency to rub people the wrong way, even if she didn't mean to. Arriving behind the brothers, she was immediately shocked to find that she did know one of the guests of honor. What was more disturbing was the fact that he had a brother and two sisters that looked exactly the same way. The brunette found herself secretly praying that they didn't all act the same. The way she had been treated in the library put a bad taste in her mouth for the surname Snow. There was a Professor here with the last name, who's attitude was just as bad in her opinion. Maybe the bad attitude was a family trait they all shared?

Runa stared around the group awkwardly, before waving. "Hi." It made her uncomfortable being around so many different fa-well somewhat different faces. The first thing she noticed was the evil look she had been getting from a one of the sister's. The one Matt had given a present to. Perhaps this was the girl he had been seeing? No reason for the hateful looks though. As cute as Matt was, he was not really Runa's type. Though she had been known to be spiteful from time to time, so hopefully the hateful looks stopped before Runa had the chance to consider the idea.

When Jean told him that house elves did everything, it made him smirk. Oh good, that was the inner Snow or Zhefarovich coming out. It was hard to tell since the families were rather huge. Although, the Snows were run by a half-breed, and that was something that Lucien didn't appreciate as much as the Zhefarovich family. "Careful brother, if you keep bossing people around, they might think you are me." Lucien liked giving Jean a hard time, but everyone knew that Lucien was a lot nastier than the others. But some of the other guests made his lips twitch in disgust, which were nothing more than the flower boys. Whatever they were. But Avie coming up to him, handing him a badly wrapped gift definitely took his mind off of it. He opened it and saw three pictures. Lucien smiled a bit, before thanking him softly, as if he didn't want others to hear it. The frame was so badly made, it was hilarious, but the pictures meant more than the frame. Katrina asked where their girlfriends were at, and that made Lucien laugh, "I broke up with that crier. She was really lowering me down." His eyes then landed on a new person, someone that he definitely knew. Runa. Placing the pictures down, he decided to approach her. "Who invited you?" Lucien raised an eyebrow, thinking of saying that she'd be better jumping out of cakes, but he kept his mouth shut.

Matt listened as Katrina asked him to help her put it on. He smiled, thanking the gods above or below that she didn't notice that it was cheap or something. He struggled to hook it together, seeing as he never fondled with jewelry before. He paused when he heard Jean say something to him. Matt looked up at him and chuckled. He knew that he and Mason were identical, but Mason's hair was a little shorter than his own. Very hard to notice anyway. Matt shrugged his shoulders, saying as he continued to try to put the bracelet on, "I could easily be Mason, but I fear I don't have what it takes to trip over air." He looked in the direction of Mason, before shaking his head. Mason had a tendency to hurt himself. Even in Quidditch, he hurt himself more than the beaters did. It was embarrassing but Matt still looked after him. Matt finally hooked the bracelet onto Katrina's wrist, and looked at the others that were here. Lucien was being a pain as per usual. But that was nothing new. Matt also didn't notice Katrina shooting the other Ravenclaw girl a look. He didn't even notice the girl.

Katrina was always fishing, always trying to find out who he was dating. She was one of the ones who worried him most. "Wouldn't you like to know?" he smirked at her. Jean had just turned to speak to Orwell and Archie, to thank them for coming when Lucien spoke again, announcing his break up with Clara. He'd heard all about it a few days earlier. Jean's eyes fell on the girl as Lucien headed over to her. He wolf-whistled. She was a looker. "Moving on so quickly brother?" he called to the boy's back before turning to his friends.

Mason wondered if he could get some free loving from Lucretia if he said that he was hurting so bad. It was a little hard to fake though, because Mason was not good at lying at all. Mason sighed and he pounced upon his girlfriend, embracing her as he wailed, very fake since he was not a good actor at all, "No, it hurt so much, I think I need cuddles just to get over this humiliation!" He was used to it. The prefect hoped that no one else could hear him, which was not too possible. He looked up at her and he smiled innocently, "Maybe a tiny kiss will make me forget? No one is paying any attention to us right now anyway. Can Lucy take away Mason's pain?"

Jean's statement brought a smirk of her own to Katrina's face. If her brother knew her well at all, he would be worried. Katrina was smart, and if Jean wasn't careful, she'd find out in a heartbeat. "Give me time dear brother and I will." Lucien's statement didn’t bother her too much. Clara was a nice girl, and had a good family background, but she had no backbone. Their family would have torn her up in seconds. Katrina replied before turned back to her boyfriend. The girl that followed in after Mason and Matt bothered her. This wasn't the first time she had seen the girl around them. She was slightly pretty, which was enough to make Katrina consider kicking her for just being around her boyfriend. Just when she was about to ask who the girl was, Lucien started speaking to her first. Raising an eyebrow, she looked between the girl and her brother. "Lucien, do you know each other?" Did Jean know her too? Katrina had a hard time telling, but she wanted to know her name, and what her relationship was with Matt and Mason was. Were they close?

Lucretia tried to follow the conversation going on between her other siblings, but she found herself being more lost than she had been before she tried to listen in. So Lucien dumped his girlfriend and Jean wasn't going to tell anyone who his was. Lucretia had been sure that she had seen him around a few times with a blonde girl, but she had no idea who she was or what house she was from. When Mason tried to get her to kiss him by pretending to be hurt she shook her head. Although she had to give him credit for trying, she also wanted to kick him at the same time. "Pretty sure you're not bleeding or bruised. So I think I'll you'll be okay. Nice try." She was not about to kiss him in front of all these people, her siblings included. They would tease her until she turned red in the face if she saw.

Runa was able to catch the fact that he had just broke up with his girlfriend. The way he spoke of her was so mean and cruel, it left Runa with the impression that he definitely was a jerk. That poor girl. As she was approached by none other than Lucien himself, her eyes rested on his form before narrowing slightly. "That's none of your business." Why did it matter who invited her, she was here and she wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon either. When the boy who looked just like him asked if he was moving on so quickly, Runa scoffed before crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't think so." Runa shot the other brother a look before stalking off to the food. At least she didn't have to listen to the food talk back to her. Maybe coming to this party was a mistake. If she had known his last name, she might have been more hesitant to come.

Acting as if he was ignoring Katrina's comment, though it put him completely on edge for a second, Jean watched his sister's reaction to the girl who had just arrived. He had been wondering the same thing so he looked over to Lucien wondering if they did know each other. If they did, it was clear that they weren't friends by her comment. By this point, Jean had strolled over, tossing an arm across his brother's shoulders as he checked the girl out. "Lucien...what'd you do to her?" he asked, not bothering to keep his voice down.

"We should do something" the teenager stated to the crowd, leaving his brother's side to grab a drink at the food table with a mere sneer to the other girl. He'd tease his brother about it, but the girl had better not think that she was better than any of them present. "Maybe something like..." he paused for a moment considering, "Truth or Dare." The game could get pretty interesting with magic involved. "What do you say Avie? You in?" he asked, knowing the boy enjoyed games.

Archie was indescribably excited for Jean's birthday. Being seventeen held a whole new frontier of opportunities and Archie wanted to celebrate with his friend and voice his envy that he himself had to wait two more years to have the same amount of freedom that Jean now had. He arrived to the party one step behind Orwell, their hands interwined and a wide smile on his face that didn't falter as Orwell mentioned he didn't know there were more than two Snow siblings. Archie nodded in response and then moved his attention to Jean, the birthday boy himself as they handed their gifts over. Orwell had chosen the book and Archie had put in much of his time into making the flower crown after his many quidditch practices and although Archie still had no idea what the book was about he wanted Jean to like the gift all the same.

The party looked well decorated and the scenery was what captured Archie's attention in between talking with Orwell and talking with Jean. He was as clueless about the awkward interactions between the Snow siblings as he was about the book he had given Jean so he was brought from his distraction at the environment when Jean mentioned a game of truth or dare. Archie immediately jumped into action and did nothing to hide his enthusiasm because truth or dare was always fun, especially when magic was involved and the participants were equally as daring and shameless. Archie certainly was so he quickly voiced his agreement to the game, smiling at Jean and then at Orwell and piratically jumping on the spot as he did so. "Yes! I wanna play!" He exclaimed.

Avie was so pleased with Lucien's reaction, the little smile he gave that made Avie feel like he really did love it, and always made him question others when they said that Lucien wasn't nice. He stood beside him as others seemed to appear and he didn't really know any of them, he knew the other two boys by Jean a little better, but rather than just interacting with all of the people surrounding him, he just stuck close to Lucien as the others spoke, and he didn't know what to say and he didn't want to split off from it and talk to anyone else, because he didn't know anyone else well enough, but he nodded excitedly when Jean said they should do something, he definitely wanted to do something, and Avie loved playing games, so when he asked if he wanted to play truth or dare and nodded happily at him, "Yeah!" he said excited just at the same time as one of the other boys said it too. Avie broke off a little from being right at Lucien's side, clearly excited by the prospect of playing a game, "I wanna play!" he agreed with the boy, "How do you play?" he asked as an after thought, he knew the general premise of the game but not entirely how it was going to work with them all here gathered together in this group, "Are you going to go first Jean?"

Of course, seventeen was an important age for wizards and witches, the pivotal moment of transition between childhood and adulthood - where they were free to use magic outside of the confines of a mere castle, their abilities no longer traced by the Ministry of Magic. All students looked forward to this time and it was so difficult to believe that, out of Esme, Lucien and Avie, it had been the latter who had reached this milestone first. To her, and no doubt most people, he always seemed like the youngest. Now all three of them were adults, and there was no better time to celebrate.

With her fingertips intertwined with her boyfriend's, Esme made her way toward the cliffs, which was one of the last places she had expected a party to take place, but interesting nevertheless. It didn't take long to find the group that had gathered, with a few familiar faces, mainly opponents on the Quidditch Pitch. A few of the others, particularly the girls, she had hardly seen in all six years. In all fairness, Esme wasn't the most sociable person, so it wasn't a surprise that she wasn't familiar with the other students.

As the seeress approached, arms bearing gifts, she focused her attention on her two friends. "Hello, you two. I hope I'm not too late. Happy birthday, Lucien." She handed him one of the two presents she had brought along - a box containing a small, silver pendant that contained a circular mirror inside. "I wasn't sure what to settle for, but I found something that was both useful and looked appealing. It's a miniature death glass." She explained. Her grandmother owned a store along Bleak Street that sold the enchanted mirrors, so it hadn't been too difficult to get one custom made. Next, she turned to Jean and held out the second hand bird cage she'd found. It was devoid of any actual avian, instead she'd filled it with ashes from the fireplace. "And for you, Jean, I managed to procure a phoenix, but as soon as I mentioned that I'd be giving it to you for your birthday, it died. So weird. Hopefully it resurrects itself soon." She said with a small smile. She glanced at the other two siblings, but said nothing. She hadn't brought them anything - sometimes she forgot they even existed. "So. Did I hear mention of Truth or Dare?"

Orwell was glad that he and Archie were at this together, the boy wasn't sure he would've been able to deal with this alone, it wasn't like he hadn't seen most of these students before more that he really hadn't interacted with them, none of them were in the wild patch, and only the other ravenclaw girl was the one he really knew but he was pretty glad therefore that Jean suggested a game of truth or dare after all, it was definitely one way to get started, and though Orwell hadn't ever played the game before he was sure that the rules to it were rather self-explanatory, they just had to give each other a truth or a dare, and so while others and specifically Archie seemed excited by it, or just interested in it, the boy decided he would be the first to suggest something, "I dare you Jean, to kiss Archie's cheek," he dared with a little smile on his face as he looked over at the older Gryffindor boy, a dare was something most of the people here would rise to, dares had that odd way of really encouraging people to do something they wouldn't normally, Orwell had some limits on what he would do but it was unlikely that anyone would ever dare him to do what ideas were floating around in his head.

Jean could always count on Avie to be in on something like this, and he was happy to see Archie so enthusiastic as well. The Gryffindor had known that his friend had been going through something during the semester, but he'd never really found out what it was about though he had heard about that incident that had gotten him and Orwell sent to the Headmistress. Thankfully, he'd refused to help and avoided trouble himself, though if had known more details, he might have been more likely to help. Jean was just happy that Archie seemed to be doing better these days, more like his old self. Before he could answer Avie's question, Jean's way was blocked by Esme and she was speaking to him about the 'gift' she was holding out to him. An empty birdcage filled with ash. "Thaaanks." He shook his head at her, rolling his eyes, glad when the subject turned back to the game.

"Yes" he nodded his head, turning his head to Orwell who was giving him a dare. With an eye roll, Jean recalled the little bet that Orwell and Archie had had the year before that had resulted in several people at the Gryffindor table kissing each other. He'd managed to stay out of it, but it looked like it had finally caught up to him. Jean rubbed the tiny scruff on his chin and laughed nervously as he glanced over at Archie. At least this dare wouldn't get him in any trouble with Victoire and his siblings would know it was a dare and nothing more. The Gryffindor absolutely wasn't going to refuse to do this, not even a dare like this that he wasn't entirely comfortable with. Certainly not in front of this many people. He was a Gryffindor after all. Taking a deep breath, Jean walked over to the younger Gryffindor. He stopped in front of him and then darted his face forward, quickly planting a kiss on his cheek and then backing off, turning and glaring at everyone as if to dare them to say something. "Who's next?" he growled.
