Slytherin Quidditch Team Practice Y40 S1

Celia shot off after another bludger, frowning when she missed her target again. She took a second to stretch out her arm and shoulder before resuming her hunt.

Lucie was eager for this year of quidditch. She made her way to the pitch before quickly taking off into the air when Liusaidh had arrived. She found her position at the hoops, keeping a close eye as the captain came towards her. She sighed however as the quaffle sailed right through. She threw it back out, determined not to miss the next one.

Ares couldn't be more happy to be part of the Slytherin quidditch team. He made his way to the pitch for their first practice session, glad when the captain kept things extremely short. He mounted his broom with his beater's bat in hand, hoping to hit some bludgers. The other beaters were already doing quite well, and Ares wanted to join them, so he searched for some bludgers, hoping to find one to hit soon.

Avie hissed under his breath as a bludger slugged into him. He glanced in the direction it had come from and made a mental note of who had hit him, before flying off to resume his search.

Indi sighed as Liusaidh scored on her first attempt but she was close behind the other girl and grabbed the quaffle as it was tossed back into the practice.

Once again, Celia aimed for Ares, but the bludger overshot him and hit @Lucie Vernier instead. She groaned inwardly but quickly plastered on a tight smile, as if she'd meant to do that.

Avery x1
Ivelisse x1
Liusaidh x1
Lucie x1

The bludgers were all over the place. Avie had no idea just how dangerous it was up in the sky until now. He watched someone else get hit, but shook his head and tried to focus on his own task.

Ivelisse continued flying around, heading up a bit to get a better view of things.

There it was. That glint of light, just flittering in the open air. If he'd blinked, Avie was sure he would have missed it. He leaned forward, accelerating on his broom to give chase. He pursued it as it flew off, managing to barely move out of the way of another player's path, and ducked and weaved through the pitch, hand outstretched until finally, his fingers managed to close on the small golden ball. His heart pounded in his chest and he took a deep breath. He lightly brushed its wings, almost as if to make sure it was really there, and held it above him. "I caught it." He said, almost to himself, and had to repeat it loudly to let everyone know. His mother would be proud, he hoped. He was proud of himself, managing to catch it before the other seeker. He held onto it for a few more moments, before reluctantly letting it go to continue its flight. He was happy, and he made note to send that letter as soon as he returned to his dorm.

Celia was a bit surprised to see that the alternate seeker had already caught the snitch. She wondered if that meant he was feeling well enough to take on another bludger. She wasn't having much luck aiming at Ares.

Ivelisse was a little annoyed the other seeker had managed to catch the snitch before her but she wasn’t going to let it throw her off.

Avery let the snitch disappear from his sight before he flew off again to track it down.

Liusaidh noticed the new seeker caught the snitch and gave him a thumbs up. "Aye! Amazin'!" she yelled before just motioning for him to let it go and try again. While she focused on following Indira.

Seamus got a little distracted watching Avery catch the snitch and had to focus quickly to ensure he was actually doing what he was supposed to with bludgers.

Celia accelerated after a bludger, but just as she caught up with it, the ball banked sharply to the left. She lost precious seconds trying to change directions, and the bludger flew out of reach.

Ivelisse kept looking.

Avery searched again, lowering closer to the grass below to scan the pitch for the snitch.

Celia tailed the bludger for some time, trying to work out the best angle. She finally reached out to smack it across the field, but it looped around and decided to head for her. Celia dove down underneath it, shooting the ball a glare as it passed overhead.

Avie caught sight of the snitch and accelerated, though lost sight of it just as soon.

Ivelisse was starting to get a little annoyed she couldn't find the sneaky little thing.

As Lucie saw the alternate seeker catch the snitch, she smirked. She found it amusing that the alternate seeker caught it first. However, before she could say anything, she groaned as a bludger hit her side. She cast a glance at Celia who had hit it towards her, knowing she was a good beater but wishing it didn't hurt as much as it did.

When Ares saw a bludger come his way, he swung his beater bat and swore as he missed it. It was embarrassing to be this bad, and he sure hoped that no one saw that.
