Avery craned his head to try and see where the bludgers were at. By now, he had expected more players to have been hit. The absence of their former captain was making itself known early.
Lennox was going to miss Celia. Not because the Slytherin girl liked her or anything. She certainly did not like getting hit with a million bludgers. But she could respect the now graduated girl. Lennox aimed to be able to be Head Girl like the previous captain. Lennox wasn't so sure about the new captain though. She listened to the short speech once she reached the Quidditch Pitch.
Lennox didn't really care about anything that was said. She mounted her broom and flew up into the air. She watched as some of the new chasers managed to get the quaffle and even score. She nodded approvingly as she grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back into play.
Mischa finally got andecent hit, grinning as the bludger went sailing right for @Enoch Goldewyn. Maybe not the seekers, but it was a nice welcome to the team.
Enoch had never been hit with a bludger until he was and boy did it hurt. He rubbed at the place where it had hit, taking just a moment to be in the pain of it and not concentrated on the game.
Toby knew he had to step it up from his poor performance last year, quickly hopping onto his broom and quickly setting off in the hopes of finding the snitch quickly.
Summer followed the older chaser, grimacing when one of the others got hit by a bludger but also seeing an opportunity to get closer to the older girl. She got as close as she could and somehow managed to steal the quaffle from the experienced chaser.
Summer debated passing towards the other chaser for a second, showing she was a team player. But the opportunity had been too good and she wanted to see it through. She aimed the quaffle at the right hoop and beamed when it sailed through, quite proud of both stealing the quaffle as well as scoring.
