Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y44 S1

Toby flew around the hoops, really hoping the snitch would just show up soon.

Celia grit her teeth as she got hit by another bludger. She glanced at Mischa, wondering if he'd been aiming for her. She hoped so. Otherwise she'd have to send a bludger back to encourage him to work on his aim. Celia flew after the bludger and smacked it towards @Ivelisse Burleigh. The seeker was doing very poorly, which did not bode well for the game. Maybe she needed to be replaced...

Mish took a moment, all this swinging his bat was starting to make his arm ache.

Horror sustained another bludger hit. Would it be possible to be hit so many times, one would become numb to the pain?

Since no one else went, and after another hit to him, Terror takes the quaffle and circles back around.

Celia followed a bludger across the pitch and knocked it towards @Seamus Reid since he happened to be nearby.

Terror started to head in the directions of the goals again, though he looked around to see if any of the other chasers were near, so he could pass to them.

Horror continued to keep the goals company.

As Celia sent a bludger careening towards @Avery Lancaster, she wondered what would happen if she "accidentally" hit a spectator during a game. Sure, bumphing was a foul, but how could you really tell whether a beater had intentionally hit someone or not? Seekers flew near the stands all the time, and bludgers practically had a mind of their own.

Mish flew after a bludger.

Seven was the most powerful magical number - and it took seven bludger hits to finally knock Avery off his broom. Thankfully he'd only been hovering a meter above the stands rather than out on the open pitch. He pulled himself up onto one of the benches and sat down to take a breather.

Mish watched as Avery was finally knocked off his broom, glancing towards Celia to see if she would be nice enough to call a break for everyone. Though he doubted it.

Terror went up to the hoops and tossed the quaffle, which bounced on the ring, but not in. He cursed under his breath.

Horror watched as Terror's throw bounced off the edge. He caught the quaffle and hurled it back into play. The bludgers must really be getting to him.

Lennox grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back into play after Terror missing the goal. Lennox tucked the quaffle under her arm and flew away from the other chaser. She didn't want to be too close in case Celia was on a mission to show how she felt about missing goals.

Avery gingerly mounted his broom and slowly rose back into the air to resume seeking.

Though Celia headed into every game (and half the practices) determined to knock someone off their broom, she'd never actually managed it. Until now. Her eyes widened as Avery fell into the stands. Fortunately, it wasn't much of a fall, and he was up fairly quickly. But then he just... sat there. Was he concussed? Celia frowned and started to fly over but was momentarily distracted when a bludger flew towards her. She smacked it away towards @Atlas James-Cade and resumed her journey to the stands. By the time she got there, Avery was already taking to the air again, but she figured she should probably check on him. She really didn't need someone dying on her watch. "Do you need to go to the Hospital Wing?"

Everything was sore, but there was still some time before practice ended. Avery didn't get very far into resuming play. For a change it was Celia, not one of her bludgers, who had come toward him. He braked to listen to her, and nodded slightly. He was sure he would need to take a visit to the Hospital Wing. "After practice." He responded. He could put up with it until then.

Lennox attempted to toss the quaffle through the goal, but it missed. She blamed all the commotion on the pitch. It couldn't be her fault after all.

Celia studied Avery for a moment. He seemed lucid enough, so she decided to take his word for it. Besides, he was old enough to speak up for himself if he did need immediate medical attention. "Okay," she said simply, giving him a slight nod. Satisfied that she'd done her due diligence in making sure he was still in flying condition, Celia flew off just in time to see @Lennox Addison miss her shot. She sighed. The chasers weren't that important, but she really did not want to be embarrassed by them at the next game. Celia slammed a bludger towards her.

He did feel bad for the seeker, but at least he was back in the air now. So, Mischa continued to focus on the bludgers, grinning as he smacked away another one, pleased to see it heading right for @Ivelisse Burleigh

Ive continued looking for the snitch, trying to ignore all of the bludger hits.
