It was slowly, gradually sinking in to Blake that his time on the Hogwarts quidditch pitch was coming to a close. He had one match ahead of him, two if he was lucky. And then all he could do was hope he was good enough to secure a place on a professional team. As hard as he was trying to dig himself into his studies, Blake knew it was much too late for there to be any real backup plan. Quidditch had to succeed, or he would be lost. So it was with grim determination that he greeted his team on the pitch, ready to throw themselves into practice.

"Alright, our match against Ravenclaw is on the horizon." Blake said firmly, trying hard not to think about who he would be facing on the pitch. "This is for the cup, so I want to see absolutely no mercy. Slytherin are champions, and that's not a legacy I intend to let end. I want to see every single one of you giving everything you've got on that pitch. No excuses, no holding back, nothing. Practice like we're fighting for the cup today, so it doesn't take you by surprise when the time comes." He raised his whistle to his lips and blew it sharply, shooting into the air alongside his teammates and beginning to search for the snitch.

OOCOut of Character:
No arrivals, just go right into practicing! Practice will run until the match against Ravenclaw starts, so take advantage of the time as much as you can!

Liusaidh arrived at the pitch and immediately grabbed the ball when it was thrown into the air. She immediately headed towards the hoops.

Daintree arrived at the pitch and immediately for his beater bat and went into the air, keen to just get started hitting some bludgers.

Gripping his broom tightly, Blake kept one eye on his teammates as he began to circle, trying to divide his attention between directing the team and searching for the snitch.

Jasper was glad to have practice again, though it was sad that his time on the Quidditch team was ending. He followed Liusaidh, hoping to support her.

As soon as Liusaidh had crossed the field she threw the ball and cheered as she watched it sail through the hoops.

Blake was pleased to see Liusaidh score, calling out to her as he passed. "GOOD SHOT!"

Indi was excited for her chance to practice again and she still thought their captain was a bit dramatic but maybe he had a point. She kicked of quickly and followed the other chasers. She grabbed the quaffle after Liusaidh made the first goal and started her way around the pitch to maybe try to make a goal herself.

Jasper followed the other new chaser, wanting to give them the chance to practice. He knew he needed his practice too but he also knew he would be leaving the team in a few months. They needed the experience more.

Liusaidh followed the other chaser that had caught the ball, she'd let the other girl try and score before she did anything.

Daintree continue to look for a bludger but hadn't managed to spot anything yet.

Indi spotted Jasper off to her side and figured she should at least try to play nice and decided to pass to him. @Jasper Night

Jasper grinned at Indira as she passed to him and he flew up to the hoops to score. He threw the quaffle and managed to actually score.

Continuing to circle the pitch, Blake was a little startled to spot a glimmer of gold so soon. He gripped his broom tight and shot towards it, hand outstretched, and a moment later the snitch was in his grasp. He held it high for a moment before releasing the ball, giving it a chance to get away before returning to the hunt.

Liusaidh rolled her eyes at the other chaser passing it instead of trying to score. The boy did score. She grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back out and began circling back to the hoops.

Daintree wasn't having too much luck, as it seemed everyone else was. but he knew it was still early in the game.

Liusaidh got close to the hoops and threw the ball, very happy when she managed to score. She'd done it again.

Daintree couldn't help his mounting frustration at not managing to get it but remained focused on trying to find and hit bludgers.

Indi was glad the other chasers were managing to score but she was getting impatient and wanted to try herself. She grabbed the quaffle quickly and raced off to make her loop around the pitch before focusing on the hoops.

After getting such a quick catch Blake hung back for a bit, doing a lap of the pitch to make sure the snitch was lost before returning to the search.

Finally as Indi closed in on the hoops she threw the quaffle and frowned as it was blocked.

Blake continued to circle the pitch slowly, looking for any sign of the snitch nearby.

Blake had already caught the snitch and if Ruben wanted to ever be as good as him he would have to work a lot harder. The young boy focused on finding the snitch more than ever but that thing didn't seem like it wanted to come out of its hiding spot wherever that was.

Circling the pitch again, Blake was surprised to spot another shimmer of gold up ahead. Pressing flat to his broom he shot forward, and it wasn't long before the snitch was clutched in his hand again. He held it for a moment to show the score before releasing it again, giving the ball a chance to escape before he resumed the chase.

Ruben was flying around the pitch when Blake caught the snitch again. Last year he was the one finding the snitch all the time in practice but this year was definitely not his year.
