Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y37/S1

Daintree was growing so frustrated as he kept failing to hit the bludgers in the directions he wanted to.

Jasper rolled his eyes as the annoying girl grabbed the quaffle again. She seemed to be trying to prove a point. Jasper groaned when she managed to actually score. He bet she would be very smug now. Now the younger girl chaser grabbed the quaffle, and Jasper frowned as the older girl stole it from her. Again. Jasper couldn't help himself. "Hey!" He called to her, loud enough to hopefully draw Blake's attention. "We have to work as a team, stop just stealing and hogging the quaffle for yourself!"

Ruben was still searching the pitch for the snitch when it flew right past him but the boy quickly lost it out of sight again. He couldn't help but let out little frustrated groan.

Blake was distracted from his search for the snitch by a shout, looking over to the chasers to see what Jasper was talking about. He had been more focused on other aspects of the game, but trusted Jasper's judgement about the situation, giving his whistle a sharp blow. "CHASERS, FOCUS ON TEAMWORK PLEASE!" He called out, giving the girls each a firm look. "You play together, not against each other."

Ruben was searching for the snitch when he was startled by Blake's whistle. He glanced at him and what was happening, it was not directed to him so he felt relieved, it was for the chasers who seemed to be having a teamwork problem. After that the Slytherin second year boy resumed his search for the snitch.

Blake turned his attention away from the chasers once he was sure his message had sunk in, returning to his seemingly endless search for the elusive snitch.

Ruben kept searching for the snitch. He would sometimes see it but not for long, this time catching the snitch wasn't being as easy.

Blake kept his eyes peeled for any signs of the snitch nearby, hoping to see a flash of gold soon so he could start catching up his numbers to Ruben's.

Blake flew closer to the stands, thinking he had seen a shimmer of gold, but it was just the metal of the stands distracting him.

Paige turned to look over her shoulder when she heard the captain voice, wondering what made him call out like that. When it was clear that it wasn't addressed to her, Paige turned back to the bludger once more only to see that it wasn't there anymore.

Penny briefly looked to see what the chasers were up to before a bludger travelling towards her caught her eye. Seizing the opportunity, she angled her broom as she wanted it and poised her beaters bat ready. When the bludger was close enough, she whacked it as hard as she could towards the chaser with the quaffle.

Ruben kept searching for the snitch, he wished to find it soon because the frustration of not being able to find it was getting to him.

Ruben suddenly spotted the snitch and chased after it. He chased it for a bit, almost catching it but the snitch disappeared from his sight a few seconds after.

Blake pulled away from the stands again, flying off to search the middle of the pitch. Maybe the snitch had been hiding among the chasers...

Ruben was running out of ideas of where the snitch could be so instead of chasing it he decided to stay still and see if he could spot it from a higher position.

Paige was still looking for bludgers to hit, though did not have any luck so far.

Ruben kept being still, looking for the snitch a little higher than the other players. Sometimes he would see a hint of gold by the corner of his eye but when he looked he wouldn't see anything. He wondered if that was actually the snitch or if it was his brain playing pranks on him.

Just as Paige had reached the point of turning around and flying the other way around the pitch to search for a bludger to hit, one of them shot over her. Just in time to dodge out of the way, she turned her broomstick around and followed it. She stretched out her arm and gave the iron ball a good whack with her bat once she had caught up with it. She watched it go off towards Blake once again.

Ruben watched as Paige hit another bludger making it head towards Blake. He was about to warn the team captain but it was too late, the bludger had already hit him.

With the snitch proving elusive, Blake was more focused on finding it than on his surroundings. So it came as a shock when another bludger hit him, a sharp cry of pain escaping him. Blake looked around to see where it had come from, giving Paige a big thumbs up. At least one person was having success at this practice.

Ruben winced when Blake was hit by a bludger, he wondered if he was feeling alright since it was his second hit already. He forced himself to keep looking for the snitch, during a match he had to keep focused on only one thing, the snitch, and not his injured teammates.

Jasper was surprised to get Blake's backup in all this, but he was pleased too. He followed Tres while she had the quaffle, resisting the urge to steal the quaffle now that he'd called her out on it.

Blake decided to pull away and search another area, heading for Mordred's goalposts to see if the snitch was hiding around there.

Paige grimaced when the bludger hit Blake and found herself flying towards him. ''Do you want me to keep going? I kind of want that butterbeer, but if you want me to target someone else for a bit, that's fair too,'' she told him. Besides, who else would lead the practice if he'd be taken out of it by another bludger.

Ruben kept searching the snitch, he decided to start moving and fly somewhere. He getting tired of being still.
