Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y37/S1

Blake kept a tight grip on his broom as he flew on, trying to calm his nerves and focus on his task. Everyone knew he was the best seeker at Hogwarts, obviously. It was just a fact, like grass being green. All he had to do was remind them of that. No beginners luck could change skill like his.

2a)

Tres was aware that one of the younger kids had already managed to catch the snitch twice, and hovering in the air herself she wanted to show that even though she was new too, she could be better than those on the team already as well. Narrowing her eyes at the chaser who was hogging the Quaffle, she leant forward and using her tiny frame began to dart around the boy, looking for the chance to steal it. Popping up once more at Jaspers side, Tres reached out an arm and dislodged it from the boys grip, taking it for herself. “I thought you were meant to be good at this game?” She mused, half joking that any Chaser should have been able to defend their Quaffle, before continuing towards the hoops.

Ruben was still looking for the snitch. He saw it for a second and chased after it but he eventually lost it again not being able to catch it. Catch the snitch a third time wouldn't be an easy task.

Paige pressed forward on her broom when she saw a bludger swerving around at the other end of the pitch, determined to hit her first bludger as an official member of the Slytherin Quidditch team. She stretched out her arm and swung her bat against the bludger once she was close enough to it, aiming it towards alternate Seeker.

@Ruben Right

Daintee continued in pursuit of the bludgers, keeping in mind what Sapphire had taught him in the years before. When he remembered her advice he always played better.

Liusaidh followed the next chaser who had the ball. She wanted a shot but it frustratingly seemed like she was going to have to wait.

Ruben was so focused on looking for the snitch that he didn't even noticed a bludger coming his way. Suddenly it was to late, pain spread through him, those things hurt a lot more than they appeared to. The hit was so hard that he even moved a few feet.
But suddenly he saw the snitch, he speeded towards it making sure not to lose sight of it and even though the pain in his body was almost unbearable and making it impossible to stretch his arm, Ruben did and catched the snitch. He was feeling quite proud of himself. The Slytherin boy then let the snitch go again.

Paige was quite amazed by the fact that the other Seeker managed to catch the snitch a third time, especially since it happened almost directly after her bludger had hit the boy.

Rule 2a

Jasper cursed as the new chaser girl stole the quaffle from him, glaring angrily at her at her words. If she wanted to work together with him, she was going to have to be nicer. He chased after her, determined to get the quaffle back. Eventually, he managed to steal it from her again. "You were saying?" He called to her as he flew away with the quaffle, nearing the hoops.

Even though he felt a little bit guilty thinking it, part of Blake felt good about Ruben getting hit. He knew it was a terrible thought, but maybe it'd take the kid down a peg or two. That thought didn't last long, as he actually saw Ruben catch sight of the snitch this time. He shot towards the younger boy, but Blake was much too far away, and he barely suppressed a groan of frustration as Ruben somehow caught the snitch again.

Daintree continued in his pursuit of a bludger to hit towards the other team players. They were a team most of the time, but right now he was trying to target them.

Blake pulled away from where he had been following after Ruben, shooting off in another direction and looking around for any signs of gold. His ego felt beyond bruised, and he needed to remind the team why he was the one in charge.

Jasper was on a high after stealing the quaffle back and rushed to the goals. He threw the quaffle at the middle hoop, grinning as it flew through. He still had it.

Ruben kept looking for the snitch, he hadn't seen it for a while now. This time he tried to keep an eye out from any bludgers but his priority was the snitch.

Paige thought that she could land in another hit, but when she hit the bludger, she saw that it had missed its target. No problem, she still had hit in, it'd happen again in no time.

Blake pressed close to his broom as he flew on, trying to cover as much of the pitch as he could as fast as he could while he searched for the snitch.

Ruben was flying slowly around the pitch looking around everywhere for the snitch but there was no sign of the golden orb.

Not having any luck at his current elevation Blake flew lower, scanning the area closer to the ground as he continued the hunt for the snitch.

Ruben was starting to get a little frustrated for not being able to see the snitch anywhere. Sometimes he thought he saw it but it would disappear as soon as it appeared.

Blake flew a slower low circle of the pitch, keeping a look out for any signs of the snitch hiding below the main level of play.

Ruben looked at Blake, he was as clueless about the snitch whereabouts as he was. The snitch was either very well hidden or they were completely blind, maybe both. He flew across the pitch still looking for the snitch but there were no signs of it.

Jasper had managed to score and Mo cursed under his breath. It was only one goal. Blake was doing much worse he thought as he threw the ball back into play

Ruben finally spotted the snitch! He chased it around the pitch, barely even feeling any pain from the bludger that hit him earlier. Finally he grabbed the snitch, proud to have caught it for the fourth time. He let the snitch go again and kept the chase going flying up to get a better view of the whole pitch.

Blake wasn't even looking at Ruben anymore. He couldn't bring himself to, focusing all his attention on his own search for the snitch. He didn't think anything had ever gone so wrong for him in his life before.

Ruben was feeling a little bad. He wasn't sure if he was outshining Blake or if Blake wasn't even trying just to give him a shot, he wished that wasn't the case because he would like for the other boy to actually compete with him and don't make things easy. He keep flying around the pitch to look for the snitch once more.
