Minnie was determined to get started immediately. She had brought her team to the quidditch pitch and was getting ready for practice. She didn't want to waste any more time and just wanted to get everything going. They had a good chance at the cup this year and she did not want to squander it. "Right let's just get started. Beaters please do not target Hamish Reid," she told the beaters sternly, she didn't want the first year to be hit at all, he'd experience it plenty and she'd rather he get used to all the other aspects of being on the team.

Alright folks no arrivals let's just get stuck in and practice.
Ravenclaw,Practice

Branson got the quidditch pitch and then when the captain had finished flew up into the air, grabbing the quaffle and beginning towards the hoops. He needed to do better now he was a full member of the team.

As soon as people were in the air, Minnie followed suit, immediately beginning to look for a snitch.

Sawyer was pretty amped that he'd gotten Lars' old spot on the team. It was nerve wracking to know that meant he'd have his first actual game soon, but it was still nice to have the acknowledgment that he hadn't been wasting his time out on the pitch for the past few years. He nodded to Minnie as she started practice, wondering what it'd be like once she was gone as well next year, before kicking into the air. He took up residence near the South hoops, keeping an eye on Branson.

Hamish came out onto the pitch, still surprised he had made the team at all, even if it was as an alternate. Was no one else in Ravenclaw looking to be the Seeker? He swallowed nervously, blushing as the captain told the beaters to ignore him. Well, at least Seamus would be pleased with that. He took off into the air, beginning his search.

Sawyer tried to stay alert as he watched Brandon approaching. They'd be up against Gryffindor, who's chasers were pretty scary, so Sawyer needed to be on his toes.

Sawyer could feel his broom drifting slightly as he tried to focus on the chasers and he had to awkwardly correct himself back to the center of the hoops.

Sawyer was distracted briefly as he watched Minnie and Hamish go past while they hunted for the snitch. It was nice to have Hamish on the team and Sawyer was pretty glad Minnie had forbidden the beaters from targeting him too.

Hattie was looking forward to this year's quidditch games, especially since it would be her last year playing the sport. The teen took to the air when Minnie instructed everyone to and watched as Branson was the first to take the quaffle. Hattie let him go. It was his first time on the team as a full member and Hattie was eager to hopefully watch him score.

Minnie continued in her search for the snitch.

As soon as Bran was close enough he threw the ball and groaned when it went wide.

Hattie watched as Branson went for a shot, sighing a little as it didn't go through. "Good effort Branson!" Hattie exclaimed encouragingly. She grabbed the quaffle when it was thrown back out and started flying towards the other hoops.

Juniper was glad to be back on the field and swung her bat around before frowning at Minnie. If certain people weren't allowed to be hit, how would they get used to actually playing. She shrugged to herself and took the air, looking for a nice, swift bludger.

Hamish continued to fly around, searching for the snitch.

Minnie wasn't having much luck yet, but it was still early. She had time to get it.

Sawyer tensed as Branson took his shot, moving to block it though thankfully it went wide and saved him the trouble. He flew down to scoop the quaffle back up, throwing it out to Hattie and watching bemusedly as she headed to the empty North hoops.

Minnie continued to not spot anything but she just needed to keep trying.

Sawyer took the moment as Hattie was flying away from him to just stretch out his arms a bit. It was good to be flying again but Sawyer could tell he should have practiced a bit more over the holidays.

Branson followed Hattie as she caught the ball and flew with it. He didn't need to help her, he knew she'd be fine on her own but he could still be there in case she decided to pass the ball.

Minnie focused on trying to find the snitch but wasn't have much success as of yet. She just had to keep trying.

Minnie was beginning to be a bit annoyed as she didn't manage to find the snitch but would just keep going trying to spot it.

Hamish continued looking, flying around as his eyes scanned the skies. He wondered briefly if having glasses would be a dis-advantage or if it would be better to play with his contacts in.

Branson was still following Hattie as they went towards the hoops.

Hamish continued to fly around, enjoying the wind in his hair.
