Slytherin, Gryffindor
They were having a nice stretch of weather leading up to the game, so it was with much dismay that Reeve woke up to a steady rain. Thankfully, it stopped as he began his preparations for the game but the clouds continued to give off a level of dreariness and not much hope that they were done pouring buckets of rain. He finished quickly enough and then began to watch the stands to pass the time as he waited for the captains to walk over to him.

Kaysi was excited for the game even if she didn't expect to play. She was one of the first on the pitch, beginning to stretch.

Felix didnt expect to play, but that didnt make him any less keen as he joined his team on the pitch, ready to see them take home the cup for another year running.

Vic was ready for today’s game, excited. She quickly walked after the older players and tried to keep up with their pace as they entered the pitch.

Teddy felt weird walking out onto the pitch for the last time as the Gryffindor Quidditch captain. It had been an honour leading the team and he really wanted to finish the championship as winners for both his team and for his own bragging rights. It would be his third win as captain, and give him one more chance to play in the other schools match. Trying not to look as emotional as he felt, he gathered the Gryffindors for the pre match talk. "Gryffindors, I have loved being your captain, you are all champions, so lets get out there and prove it!" He finished with his signature, "Go Gryffindor!" then hurried off to hand Reeve the final line up before he could start getting sentimental and ruin his whole reputation.

Gaia was pretty proud how she’d done in the practice. Arriving to the pitch she scanned the people already there, her eyes narrowing at the sight of Felix. Whatever not like he was gonna play probably, wasn’t he like that Zeke guy, alternate?

Vanity hadn't felt this nervous in her life. This was her last chance at the cup, and her last chance at beating that smug look off Teddy's face. Her whole body was tense as she waited for the match to start. "We better win this." Was all she said to her team before handing off the line up.

Logan waited for the match to start, pacing anxiously back and forth. He hoped to do better this time than he'd done during the last match .

Ignatius swallowed down the dreaded nerves he wasn't supposed to have as he looked at the Gryffindor team. He couldn't wait to wipe the smug looks off their faces. And maintain his own.

Ivy had been awake some of the night listening to the rain hammer at the wondows. thinking it as going to be a rough game agaisnt the weather more so than the other team. When she woke up she was glad to see that while it was still very grey outside and could start to rain again at any time it was for now holding off.
She braided her hair got dressed head breakfast then headed towards the pitch. taking care not to slip in the mud as she made her way to the gryffindor bench "hi. Good luck everyone" she said . depending on how things went today it could be her plast game playing with teddy. She listened as the captain gave his speech and then joined in with the cheer "Goooo Gryffindor" she cheered before waiting for the game to begin.

“Today, Slytherin will be guarding the northern hoops, and Gryffindor will guard the south hoops. Best of luck to both teams.” Reeve released the snitch and bludgers. He flew up into the sky with the quaffle, tossing it into the air with a "GAME ON!"

OOCOut of Character: Game notes, please read
1. Be sure to review the rules [please note the change to snitch capture value]. Any questions regarding the rules should first be addressed to your captain(s). Captains may PM me for any assistance needed.
2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.
3. You should refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.
4. You should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate and allows the timer to kick in appropriately for players.
5. After a player is hit by the bludger 3x, gameplay should stop. This allows for a quicker return to game post- substitution.
6. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun![/OOC}

at the sound of the whistle Ivy took off pushing hard against the sludgy ground. any power she lost from the mud didnt matter as everyone would be in the same boat. She flew forward and snatched the quaffle before starting to make her way towards the northern slytherin goals.

Felix was shocked to see his name on the roster instead of Aroha. He glanced in the older girls direction, before hopping onto his broom and hoping this would go as well as practice had.

Gaia got into air as she heard the whistle and then she made for her hoops, watching the Gryffindor Chasers closely, or as close as she could anyways.

The rain was annoying, Miles gritting his teeth as he adjusted his grip on his broom. But he would manage, Gryffindor would be winning this match and he was determined to do better than he had in practice. As he kicked off, he kept close to Ivy as she took possession and headed towards the hoops.

Ivy flew towards the e hoops noting milled nearby. She animed and thrrew t the ball disapointed it didn’t go through.

Sybil saw an opening and grabbed the quaffle after the Gryffindor chaser's miss and quickly headed to the other side of the pitch.

Teddy flew up to the south hoops and watched Ivy take her first shot. He got himself ready as Slytherin took possession.

The rain was making it harder for Felix to stay on his broom, and his hands kept slipping. It seemed as though Ivy was struggling a little more than she had in practice, although the fourth year knew she'd be scoring again in no time. "Relax, you've got this," he grinned at the older girl as he tried to do the same. The snitch would come to him, he just needed to have the confidence in himself that he'd see it.

Gaia wasn't too happy about the rain, but at least she didn't have to chase anything just guard the hoops. That didn't too difficult a feat either as the Gryffindor Chaser missed her shot, retrieving the quaffle she threw it back into play glad to see Sybil take possession.

Sybil made it over to the Gryffindor hoops, even with the rain pelting her as she flew and threw the quaffle with all her strength. But the wet ball went off course and she missed the shot. With a sigh she got ready to follow close behind which ever Gryffindor grabbed it next.

Felix squinted through the rain, slowing in the air so he could properly get his bearings. The pressure was on, but the Gryffindor just had to pretend this was still practice.

Welp seemed like the rain was making it more difficult for the Slytherin chasers too. Gaia kept an eye on the Gryffindors, just to see who might try the quaffle next. That was when she noted that Felix, who she thought was an alternate, was also playing. Pursing her lips into a thin line Gaia focused back on the chasers.

Miles swooped in after the Slytherin chaser missed, tucking the quaffle under his arm as he headed back up the pitch.

Vanity hit a bludger but it flew off harmlessly.
