Hi!
So I rarely do PDs and I've been meaning to change that for a while. Starting one during Sorting is probably a horrible idea but I'm pretty sure if I don't get it over with now I'll probably never get to it at all
Not since Aeon however many years ago, have much of my characters really had any friends. Or enemies. Or much of anything, probably because I don't do these. I'm looking to try and make more of an effort to change that, and have characters I use more than three times a year at best. So bear with me here because I am terrible at describing characters to people.
Okay lets start wiiiiith Alistair Lancaster because he's who I'm logged in as.
I don't know why I keep writing anti-social characters who are awful at making friends, or just tend to avoid people, but I do, and Alistair is one of them. I mean to be fair the only reason he is is because he's a werewolf and is terrified of anyone finding that out, otherwise I think he'd be much more outgoing.
So brief info for him. He's a Werewolf, Slytherin, and going into fourth year this IC year. His parents weren't too thrilled about the whole werewolf thing (They're the typical old fashioned pureblood supremacy types, shocker) and didn't want him around anymore because of it and the danger it poses so he lives with relatives in NZ, since they'd already raised a werewolf once before, but he doesn't really consider it, or anywhere else to be "home". He misses much of his old life, and the way things used to be before The Bite, but the whole experience has really opened his eyes to the kind of people his family are.
Uh as a person I guess he's kind of quiet and doesn't like too much attention. He's got this irrational fear that people are going to magically know he's a werewolf and hate him for it, which I suppose in a world were legilimens exist, is not too irrational to think. (Though he keeps it a secret I'm open to people finding out because tbh I feel like its not hard to put two and two together when it comes to figuring out which students are wolve) He lacks a lot of confidence and while he's not blatantly unfriendly, he can be a bit suspicious when first meeting people in case they have ulterior motives, because he can't believe people would just want to be his friend. I guess he hates himself a lot for what he is? And so he doesn't think other people should like him either. He spends more time wanting to make friends with merfolk or centaurs because they belong to the Beast category, and thinks they're more "his people" than humans are, and might be able to understand him better.
Interests include long walks in the Forbidden Forest, and Divination. His cousin is a Seer, a gift that runs in his family, and he's hoping that he too will get it to balance out the curse he has. So anything div related he's really enthused about, though he's not very good at it. He's also interested in learning more about muggle things, due to a major lack of experience in the area.

Next I have Gideon Zelinsky, fourth year Gryffindor. I'm going to be briefer now because I went on for too long with Al.
Giddy is friendly, outgoing and just wants to have as much fun as possible. He works in a joke shop so he is all about keeping things light-hearted and cheerful. I think its hard for him to dislike or be offended by people, and he isn't the type to hold a grudge. Being his enemy would be hard, but being his friend would be very easy, and he's up for doing almost anything with other people, as long as he'll have a good time doing it. He's a mediocre wizard, who only got through winning his recent duels with sheer luck and humour, and his grades are a bit meh. He's more active and restless, so he won't sit around and study, or read a book (unless it was a comic, because pictures make it better), so he's not likely to be hanging out in the library. I don't know what else to say. He lives more for the now than the future. He's a simple guy with simple interests.

Third is Solomon Mordaunt. He's a sixth year Slytherin, and a metamorphmagus.
Sol doesn't like a lot of people. They're typically dull and disappointing, though he enjoys listening in or watching their petty drama from afar, to mock later, or just to keep in the know, since knowledge is still a powerful thing to have. Because of his shapeshifting ability, he views himself as the next evolutionary step for wizardkind who is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else, and sees most "normal" wizards as incompetent and outdated because they can't do what comes so naturally to him. He doesn't have much regard for others, bar a very small few he's been impressed by, and will only generally do things that benefit himself. Because he can be anyone he wants to be, he doesn't typically think rules apply to him, and doesn't really know consequences because most of his problems have been solved by using different identities.
His biggest thing is Potions. Solomon started learning about how useful potions were from a young age, some time after he lost his mother and his father started seeing a new woman, whom may or may not have been Agatha the Hag, and wanted to eat him. Though after finding out about his ability, he was considered more useful uneaten, and started learning all about brewing from her. He firmly believes potions to be more powerful than spells, since they can do so many things a wand cannot, and so he spends most of his time studying the subject, gathering herbs and ingredients from anywhere and everywhere, and attempting to brew old or entirely new potions.
Ok so thats finally done. Its a bit of a mess so sorry about that, in my defense its half past one in the morning and my fingers are just kind of typing on their own. I'm looking for anything for all of them, I think. Friends/enemies/w.e I just need to use them more. I'm open to using other characters of mine, too, these are just the ones I felt like writing about for now. Thank you for reading this far ~
