Loud an unapologetically herself, Katy was always encouraged by her mother who firmly believed in her kids being free to express themselves. Katy’s got a bit of a wild side with a lot of energy, she enjoys outdoor activities and is often prone to mischief when she’s bored. As she's gotten older, she's picked up a bit of wanderlust and dreams of travelling the world.
Protective, she sees her herself as a defender of the little guy, and is especially fond of her family. This quality also means Katy tends to believe she knows best in any given situation and will often give out life advice, whether it’s wanted or not. Like her mother, she likes to dabble in other peoples’ business, thinking she can help in some way.

FAMILY + HISTORY

Katy grew up in a smaller historic wizarding community located in Canaan, NY. A close knit-family, the Millers have always been involved in each others' business, with very few secrets between them.
Katy’s father is involved in sales and travels often. Though he does his best to apparate home whenever he can, Katy still doesn’t get to see him much. She’s very close with her mother, Berryl, the pair sharing a lot, though Katy sometimes feels almost smothered by her mom’s persistent presence. With her brother, Logan, while the pair did get along as kids, these days they tend to butt heads more often than not.

Berryl has a very close relationship with her sister, Harriette, and as such, Katy spent a lot of her childhood with her little cousin, Elliot. Katy feels a lot closer to Elliot over her brother sometimes and feels it’s her job to look out for him. She’d expected Elliot to join her at Ilvermorny when he turned 11, and is still a bit upset he went to Hogwarts New Zealand instead.​
