Hufflepuff Practice Y39 S1

Blair tried to score again and swore madly when she failed again. What was wrong with her?

Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back into play, smiling at Linden as he started around again.

René was feeling pretty good about himself so far, though his arm was already starting to hurt. He circled around on the pitch, trying to track down where the bludgers had gotten to.

Hunter was enjoying that every chaser seemed to be wanting to score. Amy had said to practice passing but scoring was a lot more fun than passing honestly so he understood why the new chasers were even more eager to score. Hunter followed the quaffle with his eyes and now it was with Jordie, he kept himself near the boy in case he wanted to pass but for the looks he was giving at the keeper he doubted Jordie would even think of passing.

Blair followed Jordie as he made his way to the hoops, hoping that he will pass or she could steal it. It depended on what was going to happen.

René was trying to catch up with a bludger as the chasers shot past and he hand to adjust his grip on his broom to stay on course. It was hard to keep track of so many things and still fly straight with just one hand.

Determined to prove himself, Jordie hardly noticed the others following him. He made it to the goals, trying his best and letting out a little cheer when it sailed through the hoops. He needed more of those to prove he was worth being on the team.

René shook out his arm, changing directions to try and catch up to one of the bludgers but he was quickly out paced and had to stop.

Blair smirked when Jordie scored and caught the quaffle when it back to them, and started her way hoping to see someone she could pass to.

The bludger René had been tailing turned suddenly and he was able to cut it off, knocking it away harmlessly across the pitch.

Tilly thought she was keeping a good eye on the bludgers, but one crashed right into her leg. Grimacing, she waved at Rene and gave him a thumbs up.

After circling the pitch to 'fly' off the pain, although that didn't really help much, she knocked a bludger towards Amy- except the bludger had a mind of its own and crashed into @Blair Silver instead.

René felt a surge of validation when Tilly gave him a thumbs up. He figured that meant he'd made a good hit and he twirled his bat confidently, wavering on his broom slightly as he nearly lost his hold on it for the trouble.

René tried to subtly stretch out his already aching arm as he flew, turning sharply to try and take a swing at a passing bludger, though he only managed to swipe at air as it shot past.

Blair almost yelled from pain when the bludger hit her but she managed to keep it just with a little cry out and pressing the quaffle closer to her. She continued her way and failed again, this time she blamed it on the bludger that hit her.

Linden kept guarding the hoops. watching as the chasers passed the red ball around. guarding the hoops he caught a couple of shots and threw them back. "next time try not being so obvious which hoop you are aiming for. it makes it easy to know where you are aimung" he called. hoping that it would help.

René switched directions, suddenly terrified as he realized he was flying straight towards an oncoming bludger. With no choice but to hit it away, he let out a relieved gasp as the bludger collided cleanly with his bat, shooting away and into @Connor Holland.

Jordie caught the ball as it was tossed back into play, sticking his tongue out at Linden. He glanced around to see if Ruben was close as he started back around again.

René shook out his arm again, pleased he'd managed another hit even if he was aware he needed to work on his aim.

Jordie groaned when Linden caught his shot again, sticking his tongue out at the older boy before flying off. Getting frustrated wouldn't help him.

Trying to aim this time, René took a wild hit at the bludger he'd just caught up to. He was aiming for Jordie, who he saw was about to score, but he'd mistimed the hit. By the time the bludger actually connected, Jordie had already taken his shot and was starting to move away from the hoops. Oops. @Jordan Harris

Blair caught the quaffle when Jordie failed and took her way to the hoops again, hoping to finally score. This time she was more careful looking around with bludgers, seemed like René was going off today.

Despite how much his arms hurt, René was still feeling pumped. Playing beater definitely wasn't easier than chaser, but René felt a lot more comfortable. Well, not physically comfortable- confident then. He felt more confident, clutching his bat as he did another lap of the pitch.

Still riding the high after getting in a few hits, René took a confident swing as he approached a bludger. The angle was all wrong though and it spun off awkwardly, no where near Lucas, who he'd been quietly trying to aim for this time.

Tilly was thoroughly impressed with the amount of bludger hits Rene was getting in. More than her and Connor combined, she thought. She knocked a bludger away from the chasers and carried on.

René took a moment to catch his breath, adjusting his grip on his beater's bat. He'd have to ask Tilly or Connor what they did to keep their arms strong enough to not get so tired immediately.
