Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y44 S1

As soon as he caught a glimmer of gold in the corner of his eye, Rāwhiti's focus narrowed. He shot across the pitch and didn't even hear the bludger coming until it was far too late. He cried out as it hit his thigh and his broom rolled, doing his best to keep his eyes on the snitch through the tumble. To his relief as he righted himself it was still there, and he was able to dart forward and close his fingers aorund the ball. "WOOOOOOOOOO!" He yelled in triumph, holding the snitch up again for the captains to see before releasing it.

Ruby cheered as the snitch was caught once again. She noticed a bludger coming her way and whacked it away.

Aurora tried to hit another bludger but missed.

Soren swooped in and grabbed the quaffle as Josh missed the goal. "Keep going, you're doing well!" He encouraged, looking to see if Josh was open for a pass as he started around again.

Ruby continued to zoom around looking for bludgers.

Rāwhiti could still feel the imprint of the snitch in his hand as he flew on, already eager to get it back there where it belonged.

Not seeing anyone, Soren made his way back around and tried again, laughing lightly as he missed. "Good block!" He called out easily.

Zee was excited to see the new team at work. Her and Louis had struggled to weed out many of the canidates. She hoped that she had chosen wisely. As the all gathered on the Quidditch Pitch, Zee listened to Louis's short speech She had nothing to add. She would rather act, not talk, Zee mounted her broom and flew up into the air. She watched the practice for awhile, making notes on who needed to improve. She would talk to them later. She was pleasantly impressed with the seekers. Flashing them an approving smile and nod when they caught the snitch.

After a little while, she decided to add herself into the mix. She grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back into play.

Rāwhiti's heart soared as he kept looking for the snitch, enjoying being where he was meant to be.

Aurora missed the bludger she was going for.

Zee aimed at one of the hoops. She tossed the quaffle watching it soar through the goal. She had scored. A good start to the practice. It would have been embarrassing if she had missed. She smiled happily as she waited for the keeper to toss the quaffle back into play. She would not be opposed to having another shot, but probably should let some of the newer players have a chance.

Trying to be more active, Soren grabbed the quaffle as Zee scored, giving her a cheeky grin before starting around again.

Rāwhiti flew a cheerful loop-de-loop as he turned to search in another area.

Aurora failed to hit the bludger she was going for.

Dahlia was really impressed that Rāwhiti managed to catch the snitch again so quickly, knowing she needed to up her game to be even close to his level.

Rāwhiti flew higher as he continued the search, confident that he'd be bringing Gryffindor to a cup win this year.

Aurora missed the next bludger too.

Soren made his way back around, but his aching ribs were making it hard to focus. He winced, his aim slightly off, and the keeper blocked him again.

Rāwhiti kept grinning as he kept up the search, thrilled the practice was going so well.

Aurora missed the bludger she was aiming for.

Santiago winced as a blusher hit him and he turned to glare at Ruby before moving on and looking for another blusher to hit

Aurora missed the bludger she was going for.

Santiago saw another bludger and was trying to get back at Ruby but hit the other beater instead. @Aurora Archer

Zee rolled her eyes playfully as Soren grinned at her. That boy was something, but at least he was active on the Quidditch Pitch. Zee watched as Soren missed the goal, not hesitating to grab the quaffle as it was thrown back into play. She tucked the quaffle under her arm and turned towards the opposite goal.

Louis followed Zephryn, though he kept an eye on the rest of the game too. He was glad to see Raahwiti had managed to get the snitch twice. He had faith him in as a seeker.
