Gryffindor Exhibition Game

(((As the Quaffle has left the scorring area, if we are following the canon rules.... hitting a bludger at Andy would be considered BUMPHING and therefore according to wiki against the rules. :D But I'm not sure if we are playing by those.))

Kera hovers a second longer before catching where the Quaffle was. Giving a soft smile she takes off. She moves quickly flying fast. She was ready to shine in this game. Although it was her first real game of Quidditch, she was confident that she could make a nice play or two.

With the quaffle still tightly under her arm, Jolly was flying towards her goalposts that Bruin was guarding. She knew he was really good. Would she be able to score? Well, she certainly hoped so. The fingers that gripped her broom were slowly becoming sweaty. But, uncaring, Jolly sped up faster, praying that everything would go as she hoped.

Bruin watched as Jolly tucked the Quaffle under her arm and began speeding towards him. He hovered in front of the middle hoop, cheating a little bit to his right seeing as Jolly was streaking down that side of the pitch. Keeper wasn't his ideal position and he hoped to at least make the task of scoring difficult for the gold team.

Jolly streaked down the pitch, the quaffle still safely under her arm. Her mind was on the goal and she began to think how best she could score. Do another Kiera or perhaps try something else. Since she was a first year and not all that experienced in complex, distracting manoeuvres, Jolly decided she'd just make a simple throw and hope to score. She was thankful no bludgers came zooming her way.

Andy's mind had been briefly waylaid from the game after Keira had gone. It seemed miraculous that she had even turned about to see Mike hitting a bludger directly at her. Andy nearly froze but not enough to get out of the bludgers way. She dived her broom and kept diving until she could swerve to her right and circle up high again away from the bludger. She didn't understand Mike's motive for hitting a bludger at a keeper when there was no quaffle in the scoring zone.
She hoped she had given Cyndi enough time to whack the blasted bludger out of her area.

Cyndi was looking around expecting Mike to hit the bludger toward Jolly or one of his other keepers when out of nowhere she saw him hit the bludger towards Andy. Cyndi raced towards her and yelled at Mike "Hey what are you doing?!"

Harri ran out onto the pitch, she was extremly late and as she approached her heart stopped. Everyone had already began and her heart beat quickened with every step she took. She hopped that turning up late would not effect her chances of playing. She kept walking untill she thought she was close enough then waited to see if someone would notice her, she didn't want to interupt them and so she sat down on the grass and watched.

Kera saw Jolly with the Quaffle racing towards the hoops. Following she flew quickly trying to keep up. Her heart was beating a mile per minute and her adrenaline blocked out all the sound around her. The only thing she now saw was the Quaffle and Kera wanted that Quaffle. Kera flew as fast as she could trying to catch up to Jolly. She loved this. The feel of the game, the racing of the heart, Kera was in her own world now. One world where the reality was only that she could create and Kera was going to take advantage of that.

She was there! In the scoring area. At first she thought she should throw the quaffle from the east and made a sudden movement but at the last moment, changed her mind and threw it towards the other hoop. She had a hunch Bruin was preparing to block from the right side. Please...please, she prayed silently.

Andromeda sliced through the air with her broom zigzagging now between the hoops in her bid to duck the bludger which seemed intent on chasing after her. She knew they were charmed to do so but this was ridiculous. Andy saw Cyndi coming in her direction and went for another dive veering left this time and twisting back in through the small hoop on the west side of her scoring area. When this game was over she was going to fling the bludger right at Mike's head she promised herself.
"Harri up here!" Andy roared when she saw her sitting on her ground, "Harri!"
The bludger was gaining on her, Andy knew she'd either have to fly into the pitch to duck it and leave the scoring area or wait for Cyndi. She didn't know if she could keep up this cat and mouse game any longer. She pulled hard on her broom to pull right in order to twist away from the bludger. Andy hoped it was enough to buy her time.

Cyndi continued to race toward the NSA to help Andy who was struggling to stay away from the bludger. When she got to the NSA, Cyndi raced to where the bludger was attempting to get at Andy and whacked it toward the NNW area and away from any of her teammates.

Bruin noticed that another Gryffindor had arrived and he began doing a quick head count to see which team the girl should join. With his attention momentarily diverted, he drifted a little to the side and then watched helplessly as Jolly fired the Quaffle. He stretched out to try and block it, but it grazed by his fingers and sailed through the hoops. Bruin was a little embarassed, but knew that he was a better Beater than a Keeper anyways.

Bruin retrieved the Quaffle and shrugged. "Hey Kera. Heads up!", he yelled as he threw the Quaffle to her.

Andromeda turned in time to see Cyndi flying like lightening into the scoring area and whack the bludger out and into the north west area of the pitch away from any of the Golden Lions.
"Thanks Cyndi! Andy beamed at her. That had been some really cool and fast flying from Cyndi to get to her on time and Andy was highly impressed. She flew back up to hover by the main hoop just in time to notice Jolly scoring a goal.
Andy punched the air and cheered.
"Hey way to go Jolly!" she shouted loud and clear.

In slow motion, Jolly saw Bruin try to block the quaffle but fail. The quaffle sailed easily through the hoops, past his out-stretched fingers and Jolly whooped in triumph. "Yes!" She had scored. Andy was cheering her and Jolly turned around and threw a happy grin. "Great job, Bruin," she called good-naturedly before looping around for a second in her excitement.

Kera Saw the score. She knew it was her turn to step up the Game. When Bruin called her name Kera was already ready to catch the Quaffle. As it soared through the air she caught it with one hand and tucked it safely as she turned and began to fly towards the goals where the Golden lions Keeper was waiting for her.

Bruin watched in awe as the Gryffindor players on both sides sped around the pitch. He was really pleased with how focused they all appeared to be and that no one had been seriously hurt. He hoped that his teammates were enjoying the exhibition game and began to wonder how he would be able to keep everyone sharp once the season began and he had to start making some tough decisions on starting line-ups and such.

The Golden Snitch hovered momentarily in the North North East Quadrant, tired from all of its efforts to be elusive.

Ellie had been watching the game pass by, always keeping an eye darting about the pitch though.
This payed off when she spotted a glint of gold in the NNE part of the pitch.
Gasping and speeding off on her firebolt she came to a halt a few centimetres away from it. Reaching out her arm she attempted to catch it. obviosly, wont be that easy she thought as it dipped a bit, leaning low on her broom she went lower, slowly reacjing out her arm again.
Moving closer she streched out her fingers and closed them around the snitch, Grinning!
